Abstract

Zur Behandlung von Nachstar nach einer Kataraktoperation wird bisher eine posteriore Kapsulotomie mit einem gütegeschalteten Nd:YAG-Laser durchgeführt. Diese Zerstörung der hinteren Kapselsackmembran ist in mehrfacher Hinsicht nachteilig. Zur Vermeidung von Nachstar ist es neben einer medikamentösen Behandlung von Linsenepithelzellen bekannt, intraoperativ mittels eines in den Kapselsack einzuführenden Metallkörpers Schockwellen zu erzeugen, indem der Metallkörper mit einem Nd:YAG-Laser bestrahlt wird. Nachteiligerweise erfordert dieses Verfahren jedoch einen eigenen Arbeitsgang, der manuell mit großer Sorgfalt und Geschick ausgeführt werden muss, und eine zusätzliche Gerätetechnik. Die Erfindung soll die Prophylaxe und/oder Behandlung von PCO mit geringerem Aufwand ermöglichen. Zu diesem Zweck wird ein Zielvolumen (V) durch mindestens einen Laserpuls derart bestrahlt wird, dass von dem Zielvolumen (V) mindestens eine Druckwelle ausgeht und auf mindestens eine Membran (3.6A/B) des Kapselsacks (3.6) eines Auges trifft ohne diese zu zerreißen. Alternativ können mittels eines Ultrakurzpuls-Lasers mehrere Zielvolumina (V), die jeweils zumindest teilweise in der hinteren/vorderen Membran (3.6B/A) liegen, durch jeweils mindestens einen Laserpuls derart bestrahlt werden, dass ein Gebiet (K) dieser Membran (3.6B/A) teilweise oder vollständig perforiert wird.
