Abstract

On décrit un ballast électronique pour lampe, telle qu'une lampe à décharge gazeuse, de préférence une lampe fluorescente (LA), qui comprend un inverseur raccordé à une source de tension (Vbus) en courant continu; et un circuit de charge comportant la lampe (LA) et un circuit de résonance en série raccordé à l'inverseur. L'inverseur est formé de deux commutateurs (Q1, Q2) disposés en demi-pont et pouvant être commandés de manière alternée par un circuit de commande (1), au cours d'une phase d'allumage, de façon à augmenter leur temps de mise en marche (Ton) et à réduire ainsi la fréquence de commande. Le ballast se caractérise en ce que, dans les phases d'allumage, le circuit de commande (1) surveille un paramètre de sortie du demi-pont pour déterminer l'éventualité de l'allumage, par l'évaluation d'un paramètre de sortie ou d'un paramètre du demi-pont après un temps donné. Le circuit de commande (1) peut surveiller un courant ou une tension, ou une fréquence.
