Abstract

본 발명은 영상 부호화/복호화 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, LCU(Largest Coding Unit) 단위에서 쿼드트리 분할을 기반으로 양자화 파라미터 차분 값을 기록하고, 주변 CU(Coding Unit)의 문맥 정보들을 기반으로 적응적으로 양자화 파라미터 값을 예측하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 이러한 쿼드트리 구조 기반의 양자화 파라미터 부호화 및 복호화 방법 및 장치는 CU의 분할 정보를 기반으로 하여 양자화 파라미터 차분 값을 가지는 블록 정보를 효과적으로 나타내며, 양자화 파라미터 값을 예측할 때 주변 CU의 블록 크기, 블록 분할, 양자화 파라미터 값 등의 문맥 정보를 이용하여 적응적 예측을 수행한다.
