- the external I / F 91 transmits a device discovery response from the control unit 93 to the receiving device 23.
- the external device information transmitted in this way is received by the receiving device 23 (step S202 in FIG. 23).
- step S262 ends, the process proceeds to step S263. If the device discovery inquiry notification from the receiving device 23 has not been received, step S262 is skipped, and the process proceeds to step S263.
- step S263 the application engine 96 executes the cooperation specific application and causes the display unit 98 to display information related to the cooperation specific application.
- information related to the cooperation specific application For example, various operation buttons of the remote controller are displayed as information related to the cooperation specific application.
- the user can use the external device 24 as a remote controller for operating the receiving device 23.
- step S264 the application engine 96 determines whether or not the user has instructed the termination of the cooperation specific application based on the operation signal from the operation unit 94. In step S264, when an instruction to end the cooperation specific application is given, the application engine 96 ends the cooperation specific application, and the application processing in FIG. 26 ends.
- step S264 determines whether termination of the cooperation specific application has been instructed.

- step S265 If it is determined in step S265 that an event command has been received, the process proceeds to step S266.
- step S266 the application engine 96 causes the display unit 98 to display a program related information notification.
- step S267 the control unit 93 determines whether or not the display permission operation of the program related information has been performed by the user based on the operation signal from the operation unit 94.
- step S267 If it is determined in step S267 that the display permission operation for the program related information has not been performed, the process returns to step S266, and the determination process in step S267 is repeated until it is determined that the display permission operation has been performed.
- the display time of the program related information notification is determined in advance, and the display of the program related information is forcibly stopped after the display time has elapsed, or the display of the program related information is displayed. You may make it accept rejection operation.
- step S267 if it is determined in step S267 that the display permission operation for the program related information has been performed, the process proceeds to step S268.
- step S 268 the application engine 96 displays the program related information on the display unit 98 according to the control from the control unit 93. Specifically, for example, the application engine 96 controls the communication I / F 97 and specifies from the server 22 via the Internet 3 by the acquisition destination of the program related information described in the event accompanying information included in the event command. After acquiring the program related information data, the acquired program related information is displayed on the display unit 98.
- step S269 the application engine 96 controls the external I / F 91 to transmit an event command to the receiving device 23.
- the event command transmitted in this way is received by the receiving device 23 (step S226 in FIG. 24).
- step S270 the application engine 96 determines whether or not an event command has been received from the receiving device 23. This event command is notified by the reception device 23 executing step S229 of FIG.
- step S270 If it is determined in step S270 that an event command has not been received, the determination process in step S270 is repeated. In other words, in this case, the external device 24 continues to display the program related information on the display unit 98.
- step S270 if it is determined in step S270 that the event command has been received, the process returns to step S263, and the display unit 98 displays information related to the linked specific application such as an operation button of the remote controller instead of the program related information. Is displayed. That is, the display on the display unit 98 returns to the original display state before the program related information is displayed.
- Steps S263 to S270 are repeated, and when the end of the cooperation specific application is instructed by the user (“Yes” in Step S264), the application process by the external device 24 in FIG. 26 is ended.
- the program related information is displayed according to the event command from the receiving device 23 or the program related information being displayed is terminated by the application process.
- the connection is performed by the receiving device 23 during the execution of the first data broadcasting application corresponding to the trigger information.
- the second command (event command) is transmitted to the external device 24, the program related information is displayed on the external device 24.
