Un procédé et un système de commande d'affichage peuvent (810) établir des statistiques sur des états de pixels électroluminescents dans une image actuelle, puis (820) remplacer des couleurs d'une lumière émise par les pixels permettant de réduire la consommation de courant, en fonction de la relation entre l'état du pixel électroluminescent et la consommation de courant. Le procédé et le système de commande d'affichage peuvent être appliqués à un terminal utilisant un dispositif d'affichage électroluminescent organique de façon à réduire efficacement la consommation de courant pendant une implémentation de l'affichage électroluminescent organique, ce qui prolonge la durée de l'alimentation en courant du terminal et accroît la satisfaction de l'utilisateur.
