Abstract

본 발명은 특정한 온도 영역에서 정확한 온도조절이 가능하고 열손실이 적어서 전력사용량이 절감되는 온도 자가조절형(SR: Self-Regulation) SR 발열체를 적용한 스티어링 휠에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 스티어링휠은 조향축에 결합되는 보스(Boss)와, 원형태의 림(Rim)과, 상기 보스와 림을 연결하는 스포크(Spoke)와, 상기 림의 외측에 마련되며, 전기저항물질 성분과 절연바인더 성분 및 온도조절물질 성분이 혼합된 페이스트(paste)가 경화되어 이루어져 전원을 공급받아 발열하되, 온도 자가조절 기능을 수행하여 정해진 영역의 온도가 일정하게 유지되도록 하는 SR 발열체(self regulation heating element)와, 상기 SR 발열체에 전원을 공급하는 전원부와, 상기 SR 발열체의 작동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
