Abstract
L'invention porte sur un système, sur un appareil et sur un procédé de détermination du moment où une quantité de glace formée sur un évaporateur ou une grille d'évaporateur a atteint une dimension prédéterminée. Un émetteur acoustique positionné à proximité de l'évaporateur achemine des signaux acoustiques émanant de l'évaporateur ou de la grille d'évaporateur vers un capteur acoustique, qui génère un signal électronique indicatif du signal acoustique. Un module de réception couplé au capteur acoustique est configuré pour recevoir le signal électronique et déterminer que de la glace formée sur l'évaporateur a atteint une dimension prédéterminée sur la base du signal électronique.
