 ユーザの希望に合わせて指示情報を表示する入力装置を提供する。 本発明に係る入力装置101は、接触を検出するタッチセンサ104と、表示部103と、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧を検出する押圧検出部106と、報知情報の存在を示す指示情報を記憶する記憶部105と、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、記憶部105に記憶されている指示情報を表示部105に表示させる制御部108とを備える。

入力装置 関連出願へのクロスリファレンス
 本出願は、日本国特許出願2011-027424号(2011年2月10日出願)の優先権を主張するものであり、当該出願の開示全体を、ここに参照のために取り込む。
 本発明は、入力装置に関するものであり、特に報知情報の存在を示す指示情報を表示する入力装置に関するものである。
 近年の携帯電話端末等の入力装置では、通話、メール送受信、スケジュール管理、目覚し設定等様々なアプリケーションを備えるものが多く存在する。これらの入力装置では、ユーザの操作性を向上させるために、ユーザへの連絡を目的とする指示情報を待受画面に表示する機能が提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。指示情報とは、不在着信、メールの受信、登録されたスケジュールの予定時刻の経過及び設定されたアラーム時刻の経過などの旨をユーザに知らせるための情報である。
 特許文献1に記載された入力装置では、例えば、不在着信があると、図5(a)に示されるように、待受画面にユーザへの連絡事項が存在する旨を示す指示情報(「着信あり」)が表示される。そして、ユーザにより、指示情報が選択されると、図5(b)のように指示情報に関連する詳細情報である報知情報(「時刻:14:38 発信者:Aさん コール時間:25秒」)が表示される。ユーザは、当該報知情報を、待受画面から着信履歴表示を選択することにより確認することもできるが、特許文献1に記載の入力装置では、報知情報を指示情報の選択により確認することができる。

 しかし、従来の入力装置では、指示情報は、ユーザへの連絡事項が存在すると(上記例では不在着信があると)、待受画面に自動的に表示され、当該指示情報が選択されると、報知情報が表示されるものである。そのため、連絡事項の確認ではなく、連絡事項とは関係のないアプリケーションを使用しようとするユーザは、操作性の悪さを感じることになる。
 従って、上記のような従来技術の問題点に鑑みてなされた本発明の目的はユーザの希望に合わせて指示情報を表示する入力装置を提供することにある。
 上述した諸課題を解決すべく、第1の発明による入力装置は、
 接触を検出するタッチセンサと、
 表示部と、
 前記タッチセンサに対する押圧を検出する押圧検出部と、
 報知情報の存在を示す指示情報を記憶する記憶部と、
 前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、前記記憶部に記憶されている前記指示情報を前記表示部に表示させる制御部と
を備える入力装置である。
 また、当該入力装置は更に、前記タッチセンサに接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示する触感呈示部を備え、前記制御部は、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、前記タッチセンサに接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示するように前記触感呈示部を制御することが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記タッチセンサに対する位置が所定の位置である場合に、前記指示情報を前記表示部に表示させることが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記表示部が前記指示情報を表示している場合、前記タッチセンサが前記指示情報に対応する位置への接触を検出すると、当該指示情報に対応する報知情報を前記表示部に表示させることが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、複数種類の指示情報が存在する場合、前記指示情報の種類に対応する複数の閾値を設定し、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記複数の閾値のいずれか以上になる場合、当該いずれか以上となった閾値に対応する指示情報を前記表示部に表示させることが望ましい。
 また、前記複数種類の指示情報は、第1の指示情報及び第2の指示情報を含み、前記制御部は、前記第1の指示情報に対応する第1閾値として、前記第2の指示情報に対応する第2閾値よりも小さい値を設定し、前記第1の指示情報が前記表示部に表示されている場合に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記第2閾値以上になる場合、前記第2の指示情報を前記第1の指示情報と共に表示させることが望ましい。
 また、前記複数種類の指示情報は、第1の指示情報及び第2の指示情報を含み、前記制御部は、前記第1の指示情報に対応する第1閾値として、前記第2の指示情報に対応する第2閾値よりも小さい値を設定し、前記第1の指示情報が前記表示部に表示されている場合に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記第2閾値以上になる場合、前記第2の指示情報を前記第1の指示情報の代わりに前記表示部に表示させることが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記表示部に前記指示情報が表示されている状態で、前記タッチセンサへの接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記表示部に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御することが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記閾値よりも大きい削除用閾値を設定し、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記削除用閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサへの接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御することが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、いずれの前記閾値よりも大きい削除用最大閾値を設定し、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記削除用最大閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサへの接触が前記所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記表示部に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御することが望ましい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記表示部が待受画面を表示している際に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記閾値未満になる場合、メニュー画面を前記待受画面の代わりに前記表示部に表示させることが望ましい。
 上記のように構成された本発明にかかる入力装置によれば、タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、指示情報が表示部に表示される。よって、ユーザは、押圧に基づくデータの調整により、希望に応じて指示情報を表示させ、確認することができる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を参照して説明する。
 図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る入力装置の概略構成を示す機能ブロック図である。本発明の入力装置101の一例としては、携帯電話端末、PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)、携帯音楽プレイヤー、携帯テレビ、携帯ゲーム機、銀行のATM(Automated Teller Machine)、駅の券売機が挙げられる。
 入力装置101は、表示部103及びタッチセンサ104を備えるタッチパネル102と、記憶部105と、押圧検出部106と、触感呈示部107と、制御部108とを有する。
 表示部103は、入力装置101が備えるアプリケーションに対応する表示や指示情報及び報知情報の表示を行うもので、例えば、液晶表示パネルや有機EL表示パネル等を用いて構成される。
 指示情報とは、ユーザへの連絡事項である報知情報が存在する旨を示す情報であり、例えば、不在着信、メールの受信、登録されたスケジュールの予定時刻の経過、目覚しアプリケーションで登録されたアラーム時刻の経過、録画アプリケーションにおける予約結果、メールの予約送信結果、BCMCS(Broadcast/Multicast Services)における配信情報受信、待受画面上に表示されるべきメモ(予め登録されたスケジュールやメール、ブックマークなどのショートカットアイコン)の存在などの旨を示す情報である。表示部103は、例えば、指示情報として「着信あり」、「メール受信あり」などを表示する。
 報知情報とは、指示情報の具体的内容を示す情報である。表示部103は、指示情報「着信あり」の報知情報として、例えば、「時刻:14:38 発信者:Aさん コール時間:25秒」を表示する。また、表示部103は、指示情報「メール受信あり」の報知情報として、例えば、「時刻:18:30 送信先:Aさん 内容:明日予定ありますか。」を表示する。
 なお、表示部103は、文字を入力するためのキー又はボタンを表示することもできる。表示部103が、キー又はボタンを表示する場合、入力装置101は、文字を入力するために機械的なキー又はボタンを備えないこともできる。
 タッチセンサ104は、ユーザの指やスタイラスペン等(接触物)による接触を検出するもので、抵抗膜方式、静電容量方式、光学式等の公知の方式のもので構成される。タッチセンサ104は、接触を検出すると、当該接触の位置に関する接触位置情報を制御部108に送る。なお、タッチセンサ104が接触を検出する上で、接触物がタッチセンサ104に物理的に接触することは必須ではない。例えば、タッチセンサ104が光学式である場合は、タッチセンサ104はタッチセンサ104上の赤外線が指やスタイラスペン等で遮られた位置を検出するため、接触物がタッチセンサ104に接触することは不要である。
 記憶部105は、接触に関する各種情報(例えば、接触位置情報)や押圧条件、タッチパネル102上での位置条件や所定の軌跡条件等を記憶するとともに、ワークメモリ等としても機能する。押圧条件とは、制御部108が表示部103に指示情報を表示する基準又は表示部103に表示された指示情報を削除する基準となるものであり、例えば、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値以上であること等である。
 また、位置条件とは、制御部108が表示部103に指示情報を表示する基準となりうるものであり、例えばタッチセンサ104に対する接触位置が所定の位置であること等である。なお、所定の位置への接触とは、厳密にその位置のみへの接触に限定されるものではなく、例えば、接触物の摺動操作(ドラッグ操作)により、所定の位置を通過した場合の接触も含むものであることに留意されたい。なお、摺動操作とは、接触が維持された状態で接触位置を移動させる操作を指す。
 更に、所定の軌跡条件とは、制御部108が表示部103に表示された指示情報を削除するための基準となるものであり、例えば、接触物による摺動操作の接触軌跡が所定の軌跡と一致することや軌跡の終端が所定の位置であること等である。なお、軌跡には、一本の指による軌跡のみならず、二本の指でつまむような動作であるピンチインによる軌跡や二本の指で押し広げるような動作であるピンチアウトによる軌跡も含まれるものとする。
 なお、接触軌跡と所定の軌跡との一致とは、厳密な完全一致に限定されるものではない。例えば、誤差範囲を予め定め、当該誤差範囲内であるならば、接触軌跡は所定の軌跡に一致するとみなすことができる。
 押圧に関する閾値、所定の位置及び所定の軌跡は、制御部108が任意に設定できる事項である。そのため、制御部108は、複数種類の指示情報に応じて押圧に関する閾値や所定の軌跡を複数設定することもできる。例えば、制御部108は、通話に関する指示情報の押圧に関する閾値をメールに関する指示情報の押圧に関する閾値よりも小さく(又は大きく)設定することができる。また、制御部108は、通話に関する指示情報の削除に対応する所定の軌跡を三角形と設定し、メールに関する指示情報の削除に対応する所定の軌跡を四角形と設定することもできる。
 押圧検出部106は、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧を検出するもので、例えば、押圧に応じて物理的または電気的な特性(歪み、抵抗、電圧等)が変化する歪みゲージセンサや圧電素子等の素子等を用いて構成する。押圧検出部106が、例えば、圧電素子等を用いて構成された場合、押圧検出部106の圧電素子は、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に係る荷重(力)の大きさ(または、荷重(力)の大きさが変化する速さ(加速度))に応じて、電気的な特性である電圧の大きさ(電圧値)が変化する。押圧検出部106は、この電圧の大きさ(電圧値(以下、単にデータと称する))を、制御部108に通知する。制御部108は、押圧検出部106がデータを制御部108に通知することにより、または、制御部108が押圧検出部106の圧電素子に係るデータを検出することにより、当該データを取得する。つまり、制御部108は、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータを取得する。すなわち、制御部108は、押圧検出部106から押圧に基づくデータを取得する。
 触感呈示部107は、タッチセンサ104を振動させ、タッチセンサ104に接触しているユーザの指やスタイラスペン等(接触物)に触感を呈示するもので、例えば、圧電素子等の振動素子を用いて構成される。呈示する触感は、何らかの振動であればよく、制御部108は、周波数、周期(波長)、振幅、波形を、呈示する触感に応じて適宜設定することができる。例えば、制御部108は、指示情報の種類毎に異なる触感を設定することができる。また、制御部108は、接触物に呈示される触感の回数を適宜設定することもできる。例えば、制御部108は、接触物に呈示される触感の回数を、指示情報の個数に一致させることができる。
 また、触感呈示部107は、単なる振動ではなく、機械的なキーを押した際に感じられるカチッとした硬質的な触感(リアルなクリック感)を接触物に対して呈示することもできる。触感を呈示する条件(例えば、タッチパネル102に対する押圧の荷重が1N[ニュートン]を超えること(対応して、タッチパネル102に対する押圧に基づくデータ(電圧)が1Vを超えること))を設定することにより、この条件を満たすまでは、ユーザの圧覚を刺激し、条件を満たすと、触感呈示部107がタッチセンサ104を振動させてユーザの触覚を刺激することが可能になる。このように、ユーザの圧覚と触覚を刺激することにより、カチッとした硬質的な触感をユーザに呈示できる。タッチセンサ104自体は、押圧されても機械的なキーのように物理的に変位しないが、上記のような触感をタッチ対象(接触物)に呈示することにより、ユーザは、機械的なキーを操作した場合と同様のリアルなクリック感を得ることができる。これにより、ユーザは、接触によるフィードバックが本来ないタッチセンサ104への操作を違和感なく行うことが可能となる。カチッとした硬質的な触感は、例えば140Hz~500Hzのサイン波を1周期又は矩形波を1周期呈示することにより実現できる。
 なお、押圧検出部106及び触感呈示部107が圧電素子を用いて構成される場合には、圧電素子を共用して、押圧検出部106及び触感呈示部107を構成することができる。圧電素子は、圧力が加わると電圧を発生し、電圧が加わると変形するためである。なお、触感呈示部107は、振動モータ(偏心モータ)等に基づいて入力装置101を振動させることにより、タッチセンサ104を間接的に振動させるように構成してもよいし、タッチセンサ104に圧電素子を配設することにより、タッチセンサ104を直接的に振動させるように構成してもよい。
 制御部108は、入力装置101の各機能ブロックをはじめとして入力装置101の全体を制御及び管理する。ここで、制御部108は、CPU(中央処理装置)等の任意の好適なプロセッサ上で実行されるソフトウェアとして構成したり、処理毎に特化した専用のプロセッサ(例えばDSP(デジタルシグナルプロセッサ))によって構成したりすることができる。制御部108の行う処理については、後述の図2、図3及び図4の説明にて詳述する。
 続いて、入力装置101が指示情報を表示部103に表示させる方法について、図2、図3及び図4を参照して説明する。図2は、図1の入力装置が行う処理を示すフローチャートである。図3及び図4は、図1の入力装置の処理を図式的に示す説明図である。以下、表示部103には、図3(a)のような待受画面を表示しているものとする。また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、通話に関する第1の指示情報の表示基準である押圧に関する第1閾値とメールに関する第2の指示情報の表示基準である押圧に関する第2閾値(押圧に関する第2閾値>押圧に関する第1閾値)とを設定しているとする。更に、本実施形態では、制御部108は、第2の指示情報の削除基準である押圧に関する第3閾値(押圧に関する削除用閾値)(押圧に関する第3閾値>押圧に関する第2閾値)と全ての指示情報の削除基準である押圧に関する削除用最大閾値とを設定しているとする。なお、押圧に関する削除用最大閾値とは、いずれの押圧に関する閾値よりも大きい閾値である。
 まず、ユーザへの連絡事項が発生すると、制御部108は、当該連絡事項に関する指示情報を記憶部105に記憶させる(ステップS101)。本実施形態では、不在着信及びメールの受信が発生したとする。そのため、制御部108は、記憶部105に第1の指示情報として「着信あり」との情報を、第2の指示情報として「メール受信あり」との情報を記憶部105に記憶させる。
 タッチパネル102への接触がユーザの指やスタイラスペン等の接触物によって行われると(図3(b))、タッチセンサ104は、この接触を検出する(ステップS102)。このとき、制御部108は、接触された位置を認識できる態様で表示部103の表示を変化させることができる(図3(b))。例えば、制御部108は、接触された位置に対応して、キーやボタンを表示部103に表示させることができる。また、接触物による接触が検出されると、制御部108は、所定の位置にキーやボタンを表示部103に表示させ、当該所定の位置への更なる接触があった場合にのみ、以下の指示情報表示処理を行うこともできる。
 制御部108は、押圧検出部106から、タッチセンサ104にユーザの指やスタイラスペン等の接触物が接触した時点から、タッチセンサ104のタッチ面に対する押圧に基づくデータを取得し始める(ステップS103)。
 制御部108は、押圧検出部106から取得した押圧に基づくデータと記憶部105に記憶されている押圧に関する閾値との比較を行うことができる(ステップS104)。押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値未満の場合(ステップS104のNo)、制御部108は、メニュー画面を待受画面の代わりに表示部103に表示させることができる(ステップS105及び図3(c))。なお、メニュー画面とは、入力装置101で利用できるアプリケーションが一覧表示されている画面であり、ユーザは、当メニュー画面からアプリケーションを選択し、起動することができる。
 押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第1閾値以上である場合(ステップS104のYes)、制御部108は、押圧に関する第1閾値に対応する第1の指示情報、つまり「着信あり」との情報を表示部103に表示させる(ステップS106及び図3(d))。なお、制御部108は、押圧条件のみならず、タッチセンサ104により検出された接触の接触位置が所定の位置である場合に、指示情報を表示部103に表示させることもできる。なお、本実施形態では、制御部108は、指示情報の表示後は、押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値未満になった場合も、指示情報を表示部103に表示させ続けるとする。
 押圧に基づくデータが更に押圧に関する第2閾値以上になった場合(ステップS104のYes)、制御部108は、押圧に関する第2閾値に対応する第2の指示情報、つまり「メール受信あり」との情報を第1の指示情報の代わりに表示部103に表示させることができる(ステップS106及び図3(e))。また、制御部108は、図3(f)のように、第2の指示情報を第1の指示情報と共に表示部103に表示させることもできる。
 指示情報の表示の際、制御部108は、タッチセンサ104に接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示するように触感呈示部107を制御することができる(ステップS107)。また、制御部108は、異なる指示情報の表示に対応して、異なる触感を呈示することもできる。例えば、制御部108は、押圧に関する第1閾値に対応して第1触感(例えば、ブル)を、押圧に関する第2閾値に対応して第2触感(例えば、ブルル)を触感呈示部107に呈示させることができる。つまり、ユーザは、第1触感の呈示から着信があったことを認識できる。また、ユーザは、第2触感の呈示からメールを受信したことを認識できる。
 更に、制御部108は、着信の回数や受信メールの数に応じて、触感の呈示回数が変化するように触感呈示部107を制御することができる。例えば、制御部108は、2回着信があった場合、第1触感を2回(ブル、ブル)呈示するように触感呈示部107を制御することができる。
 触感の呈示後、制御部108は、表示部103に表示されている指示情報に対応する位置への接触が行われたか否か判断する(ステップS108)。なお、指示情報に対応する位置への接触とは、ステップS102における指示情報を表示するための接触とは異なる新たな接触のみならず、ステップS102の接触に続く摺動操作による指示情報に対応する位置への接触も含むものとする(図4(g))。
 タッチセンサ104が指示情報に対応する位置への接触を検出すると(ステップS108のYes)、制御部108は、接触された指示情報に対応する報知情報、つまり「時刻:14:38 発信者:Aさん コール時間:25秒」を表示部103に表示させることができる(ステップS109及び図4(h))。
 なお、ステップS106において第1及び第2の指示情報が表示部103に表示された後、当該指示情報が表示されている状態で、押圧に関する第3閾値以上の押圧に基づくデータに関する接触が所定の軌跡条件(例えば、接触軌跡がピンチアウト動作による軌跡であること)を満たすとする(図4(i))。すると、制御部108は、表示部103に表示されている第2の指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御することができる(図4(j))。このとき制御部108は、記憶部105に記憶されている第2の指示情報を削除することもできる。なお、第1の指示情報の削除基準である押圧に関する第4閾値(押圧に関する削除用閾値)(押圧に関する第4閾値>押圧に関する第1閾値)が設定されている場合は、制御部108は、押圧に関する第4閾値以上の押圧に基づくデータに関する接触が所定の軌跡条件(例えば、接触軌跡が三角形あること)を満たすと、第1の指示情報を非表示にすることができる。なお、制御部108は、押圧に基づくデータに関係なく、表示部103に第1及び第2の指示情報、又はいずれか一方が表示されている状態で、所定の軌跡条件を満たす接触が行われた場合に、当該所定の軌跡条件に対応する指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御できる。複数の指示情報に対応する軌跡条件が同じである場合は、制御部108は、所定の軌跡条件を満たす接触が行われると、表示部103に表示されている指示情報を非表示にすることになる。
 また、ステップS106において第1及び第2の指示情報が表示された後、表示部103に当該指示情報が表示されている状態で、押圧に関する削除用最大閾値以上の押圧に基づくデータに関する接触が所定の軌跡条件(接触軌跡がピンチアウト動作による軌跡であること)を満たすとする(図4(i))。すると、制御部108は、表示部103に表示されている全ての指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御することができる(図4(k))。このとき、制御部108は、記憶部105に記憶されている全ての指示情報を削除することもできる。
 このように本実施形態では、入力装置101の制御部108は、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値以上になる場合に、記憶部105に記憶されている指示情報を表示部103に表示させる。つまり、本実施形態の入力装置101は、指示情報を自動表示せず、ユーザの押圧に基づいて表示する。よって、ユーザは、押圧の調整により、指示情報を確認したい場合のみ、入力装置101に指示情報を表示させることが可能になる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値以上になる場合に、タッチセンサ104に接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示するように触感呈示部107を制御することができる。ユーザは、表示部103の表示を確認することなく、触感の呈示より指示情報の有無を認識することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、タッチセンサ104が検出する接触の位置が所定の位置である場合に、指示情報を表示部103に表示させることができる。つまり、位置条件と押圧条件の双方が満たされて、指示情報が表示部103に表示される。所定の位置を把握していない第三者は、指示情報を確認することができない。よって、第三者の不正使用を防ぐことができる。
 また、本実施形態では、通話に関する第1の指示情報及びメールに関する第2の指示情報の複数種類の指示情報が存在する。この場合、制御部108は、指示情報の種類に対応する押圧に関する第1閾値及び押圧に関する第2閾値(押圧に関する第2閾値>押圧に関する第1閾値)を設定し、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第1閾値及び第2閾値のいずれか以上になる場合、当該押圧に関する閾値に対応する指示情報を表示部103に表示させることができる。これにより、ユーザは、指示情報を種類毎に表示部103に表示させ、確認することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、第1の指示情報が表示部103に表示されている場合に、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第2閾値以上になる場合、第2の指示情報を第1の指示情報と共に表示させることができる。これによりユーザは、段階的に且つ複数の指示情報を表示部103に表示させ、確認することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、第1の指示情報が表示部103に表示されている場合に、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第2閾値以上になる場合、第2の指示情報を第1の指示情報の代わりに表示部103に表示させることができる。これにより、ユーザは、段階的に且つ一種類ずつ指示情報を表示部103に表示させ、確認することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、第1又は第2の指示情報が表示部103に表示されている状態で、タッチセンサ104への接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、表示部103に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御することができる。これにより、ユーザは、接触軌跡を調整することにより、指示情報を種類毎に非表示にすることができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、押圧に関する第1又は第2閾値より大きい押圧に関する第3又は第4閾値(押圧に関する削除用閾値)を設定し、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第3又は第4閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサ104への接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、表示部103に表示されている第1又は第2の指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御し、且つ記憶部105に記憶されている第1又は第2の指示情報を削除することができる。これにより、ユーザは、押圧と接触軌跡を調整することにより、指示情報を種類毎に非表示に、且つ記憶部105から削除することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、いずれの押圧に関する閾値よりも大きい押圧に関する削除用最大閾値を設定し、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する削除用最大閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサ104への接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、表示部103に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように表示部103を制御することができる。これにより、ユーザは、押圧及び接触軌跡を調整することにより、全ての指示情報を一度に非表示にすることができる。なお、押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する削除用最大閾値以上の接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、制御部108は、記憶部105に記憶されている全ての指示情報を削除することもでき、これにより、入力装置101から指示情報が完全に削除される。
 また、本実施形態では、制御部108は、表示部103が待受画面を表示している際に、タッチセンサ104に対する押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する第1閾値未満になる場合、メニュー画面を待受画面の代わりに表示部103に表示させることができる。これにより、指示情報の確認ではなく、指示情報とは関係のないアプリケーションの起動を希望するユーザは、押圧の調整により、指示情報を表示させないことができる。よって、ユーザは、表示された指示情報の削除という不要な動作を行うことなく、所望のアプリケーションを起動することが可能になる。
 本発明を諸図面や実施例に基づき説明してきたが、当業者であれば本開示に基づき種々の変形や修正を行うことが容易であることに注意されたい。従って、これらの変形や修正は本発明の範囲に含まれることに留意されたい。
 例えば、各部材、各手段、各ステップ等に含まれる機能等は論理的に矛盾しないように再配置可能であり、複数の手段やステップ等を1つに組み合わせたり、或いは分割したりすることが可能である。
 上述の本発明の実施形態の説明においては、待受画面における指示情報の表示について説明したが、本発明は指示情報の表示画面は待受画面に限定されるものではない。例えば、本発明をメール作成中やゲーム中に表示される画面における指示情報の表示に適用することもできる。
 また、上述の本発明の実施形態の説明においては、押圧条件及び軌跡条件が満たされる場合に指示情報が非表示になることについて説明したが、指示情報の非表示条件は、押圧条件及び軌跡条件に限定されるものではない。例えば、指示情報が表示された後、接触物がタッチセンサから離れ、新たな接触がタッチセンサの所定の位置に行われた場合に、制御部は、指示情報を非表示にすることができる。
 また、上述の本発明の実施形態の説明においては、押圧条件が満たされた場合に指示情報が表示されることについて説明したが、指示情報を表示するための暗証番号が予め設定されている場合は、制御部は、押圧条件が満たされた場合に暗証番号入力画面を表示部に表示させることができる。
 また、上述の本発明の実施形態の説明において、例えば、押圧に関する閾値「以上」または押圧に関する閾値「未満」のような表現の技術的思想が意味する内容は必ずしも厳密な意味ではなく、入力装置の仕様に応じて、基準となる値を含む場合又は含まない場合の意味を包含するものとする。例えば、押圧に関する閾値「以上」とは、押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値に達した場合のみならず、押圧に関する閾値を超えた場合も含意し得るものとする。また、例えば押圧に関する閾値「未満」とは、押圧に基づくデータが押圧に関する閾値を下回った場合のみならず、押圧に関する閾値に達した場合、つまり押圧に関する閾値以下になった場合も含意し得るものとする。
 また、上述した本発明の本実施形態の説明における「表示部」及び「タッチセンサ」は、表示部とタッチセンサとの両機能を共通の基板に持たせる等により、一体化した装置によって構成されてもよい。このような表示部とタッチセンサとの両機能を一体化した装置の構成の一例としては、液晶パネルが有するマトリクス状配列の画素電極群に、フォトダイオード等の複数の光電変換素子を規則的に混在させたものがある。この装置は、液晶パネル構造によって画像を表示する一方で、パネル表面の所望位置をタッチ入力するペンの先端で液晶表示用のバックライトの光を反射し、この反射光を周辺の光電変換素子が受光することにより、タッチ位置を検出することができる。

Claims (12)

  1.  接触を検出するタッチセンサと、
     表示部と、
     前記タッチセンサに対する押圧を検出する押圧検出部と、
     報知情報の存在を示す指示情報を記憶する記憶部と、
     前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、前記記憶部に記憶されている前記指示情報を前記表示部に表示させる制御部と
    を備える入力装置。
  2.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、
     当該入力装置は更に、前記タッチセンサに接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示する触感呈示部を備え、
     前記制御部は、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが閾値以上になる場合に、前記タッチセンサに接触している接触物に対して触感を呈示するように前記触感呈示部を制御する
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  3.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、前記制御部は、前記タッチセンサに対する位置が所定の位置である場合に、前記指示情報を前記表示部に表示させることを特徴とする入力装置。
  4.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、前記表示部が前記指示情報を表示している場合、前記タッチセンサが前記指示情報に対応する位置への接触を検出すると、当該指示情報に対応する報知情報を前記表示部に表示させる
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  5.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、複数種類の指示情報が存在する場合、前記指示情報の種類に対応する複数の閾値を設定し、
     前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記複数の閾値のいずれか以上になる場合、当該いずれか以上となった閾値に対応する指示情報を前記表示部に表示させる
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  6.  請求項5に記載の入力装置において、
     前記複数種類の指示情報は、第1の指示情報及び第2の指示情報を含み、
     前記制御部は、
     ‐ 前記第1の指示情報に対応する第1閾値として、前記第2の指示情報に対応する第2閾値よりも小さい値を設定し、
     ‐ 前記第1の指示情報が前記表示部に表示されている場合に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記第2閾値以上になる場合、前記第2の指示情報を前記第1の指示情報と共に表示させる
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  7.  請求項5に記載の入力装置において、
     前記複数種類の指示情報は、第1の指示情報及び第2の指示情報を含み、
     前記制御部は、
     ‐ 前記第1の指示情報に対応する第1閾値として、前記第2の指示情報に対応する第2閾値よりも小さい値を設定し、
     ‐ 前記第1の指示情報が前記表示部に表示されている場合に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記第2閾値以上になる場合、前記第2の指示情報を前記第1の指示情報の代わりに前記表示部に表示させる
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  8.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、前記表示部に前記指示情報が表示されている状態で、前記タッチセンサへの接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記表示部に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御する
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  9.  請求項8に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、前記閾値よりも大きい削除用閾値を設定し、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記削除用閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサへの接触が所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御することを特徴とする入力装置。
  10.  請求項5に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、前記表示部に前記指示情報が表示されている状態で、前記タッチセンサへの接触が前記所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記表示部に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御する
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
  11.  請求項10に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、いずれの前記閾値よりも大きい削除用最大閾値を設定し、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記削除用最大閾値以上の状態で、当該タッチセンサへの接触が前記所定の軌跡条件を満たす場合、前記表示部に表示されている指示情報を非表示にするように前記表示部を制御することを特徴とする入力装置。
  12.  請求項1に記載の入力装置において、
     前記制御部は、前記表示部が待受画面を表示している際に、前記タッチセンサに対する押圧に基づくデータが前記閾値未満になる場合、メニュー画面を前記待受画面の代わりに前記表示部に表示させる
    ことを特徴とする入力装置。
