Abstract

본 발명은 인터넷 프로토콜을 기반으로 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하는 방송 시스템에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 제어 메시지를 전송하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 상기 제어 메시지에 포함되는 제어 정보의 종류를 나타내는 정보를 포함하는 메시지 종류 필드를 구성하고, 상기 제어 메시지의 길이에 대한 정보를 포함하는 길이 필드를 구성하고, 상기 제어 정보의 종류에 따라 각각 다른 값을 가지는 선택적 필드를 구성하고, 상기 제어 정보의 내용을 포함하는 페이로드 필드를 구성한다.
