Abstract
본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 배터리 시스템 관리 장치는, 직렬 연결된 복수의 배터리 셀이 구비된 배터리 시스템을 관리하는 장치로서, 상기 배터리 셀 각각의 성능을 측정하는 성능 측정부; 상기 배터리 셀 각각에 대하여 다른 배터리 셀과의 연결을 턴 온 또는 턴 오프시키는 셀 스위칭부; 및 상기 성능 측정부에 의해 측정된 각각의 배터리 셀 성능을 기준 성능과 비교하여, 측정된 성능이 기준 성능 이하인 배터리 셀이 존재하는 경우, 해당 배터리 셀에 대하여 다른 배터리 셀과의 연결이 차단되도록 상기 셀 스위칭부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
