  • the lowermost part of the gas supply conduit includes a sealing element to engage the surface of the gas cartridge in a gas tight manner, and an internal blade to pierce the cartridge to enable gas to flow through the bore of the gas supply conduit. It is envisaged that the stoves described above could easily be adapted for use with such a cartridge.

  • the base may alternatively be provided with other ground engaging components to enhance the stability of the stove, including, for example, pivotally mounted feet that can be swung out from a retracted position to an extended position to increase the effective diameter of the base.
  • the receptacle maybe made to have an internal diameter slightly greater than the external diameter of the gas cartridge. If the embodiment of Figures 5 to 7 were to be modified in this way the gas cartridge could be stored within the receptacle when the stove was dismantled. It would, of course, be necessary to provide the base with two sets of resilient snap fingers 19, with one set being configured to engage the bottom of the receptacle, and another set configured to engage the bottom of the gas cartridge. This would provide a further saving of space when the stove is dismantled and packed away, with the gas cartridge contained within the receptacle.
  • the positive engagement between the windshield and the receptacle is achieved by the interconnection between a castellated upper part of the sidewall of the windshield and a ribbed bottom wall of the receptacle, or a simple friction fit.
  • the positive engagement could be achieved with a screw thread-type connection, or event a bayonet connection.

  • a rubber grommet could be positioned into the slot and a thermometer attached to the grommet on the inside of the receptacle sidewall 23, to measure the temperature of the contents of the receptacle 2.
  • a glass or Perspex window could be attached to the other side of the grommet to act as a seal and prevent the contents of the receptacle 2 leaking through the sidewall 23. This would also allow a person to view the temperature range of the thermometer and read the temperature of the receptacle contents, whilst the lid 26'was fitted.
  • the stove has been described as incorporating a gas cartridge.
  • gas cartridges are frequently of an 'industry standard' design, it would be quite practicable for the stove to be sold without a gas cartridge, as the purchaser would readily be able to obtain a gas cartridge to fit the stove.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un poêle potable (1), lequel poêle a une base venant en prise avec le sol (17) en un matériau thermiquement isolant, venant en prise avec le bas d'une bombonne de gaz (12). La bombonne de gaz (12) est reliée par une conduite d'alimentation en gaz (5) à un brûleur de gaz (3) qui est entouré par un pare-flamme en forme de bol (7). Le pare-flamme vient en prise et supporte de façon positive la partie inférieure d'un réceptacle (2), de façon à former ainsi une chambre dans laquelle le brûleur (3) est disposé de façon à minimiser la perte de chaleur. La base (17) peut être retirée de la bombonne de gaz (12), et peut venir en prise avec le bas du réceptacle lorsque le contenu du réceptacle a été chauffé afin de minimiser la perte de chaleur à travers la paroi inférieure (23) du réceptacle.
