Abstract

본 발명은 부팅 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의하면, 마스터 프로세서가 부팅하고, 상기 마스터 프로세서가 부팅이미지를 에뮬레이터에 전달하고, 슬레이브 프로세서가 상기 에뮬레이터에 부팅정보를 요청하고, 상기 요청에 따라 상기 에뮬레이터가 상기 부팅이미지를 상기 슬레이브 프로세서에 전달하고, 상기 슬레이브 프로세서가 부팅한 후 상기 마스터 프로세서와 통신한다. 그 결과, 본 발명에 의하면, 슬레이브 프로세서에 연결된 대용량의 비휘발성 메모리를 소용량의 메모리로 대체할 수 있는 에뮬레이터를 이용하기 때문에 부팅 장치의 물리적 크기가 줄어들며, 생산 원가를 절감할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
