Abstract

영상의 인트라 예측 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 인트라 예측 방법은 인트라 예측되는 색차 블록의 복원된 주변 픽셀들 및 색차 블록과 대응되는 휘도 블록의 복원된 주변 픽셀들에 기초하여, 색차 블록과 휘도 블록 사이의 상관 관계를 나타내는 파라메타들을 획득하고, 획득된 파라메타들을 이용하여 휘도 블록으로부터 색차 블록을 예측한다. 또한, 본 발명의 실시예에 따르면 파라메타들을 획득하는 단계는 색차 블록의 복원된 주변 픽셀들 및 휘도 블록의 복원된 주변 픽셀들을 이용한 소정의 연산 과정을 통해 파라메타들을 획득하며, 연산 과정은 오버 플로우를 방지하기 위하여 파라메타들의 비트 뎁스를 변경하는 스케일링 과정을 포함한다.
