- Osteosynthesis is the surgical treatment of bone fractures and other bone injuries with implants, eg. B. in the form of bone screws, which are usually made of metal.
- implants eg. B. in the form of bone screws, which are usually made of metal.
- Osteosynthesis usually allowed an early exercise ⁇ treatment with the patient (exercise stable osteosynthesis) or even a B fracture IMPACT (load stable osteosynthesis). An only stable storage osteosynthesis is avoided as possible.
- Osteosynthesis is also used in orthopedics for fixation after corrective bone transection (osteotomy) in cases of misalignment or joint stiffness (arthrodeses).
- the erenosteosynthese finds in simple fractures and fractures of smaller bones application, since the screw is sufficient to stabilize the fracture, unless strong forces, such.
- the fferenosteosynthese finds z.
- a sufficient stability and fixation of the bone screws is only given if the fixing bone screws engage in the cortical bone.
- a disadvantage of the screw osteosynthesis is that the c o n c h e n c h e n c u s, i.a. at early
- the invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a bone screw that does not loosen up even with early exercise treatments and loads on the fracture.
- the invention provides that at least one recess for inserting a transverse pin is arranged transversely to the shank of the bone screw. This allows a cross-locking of the bone screw, especially in cortical bone, so that the fixation stability of Knochenver screw connection is substantially increased.
- the connection between the bone screw and the bone is secured in the direction of the bone axis and against rotation about the bone axis, so that no change in the position of the bone screws used in the bone he follows. A better hold in osteoporetic bone is achieved.
- the invention allows a penetration of the bone screw transversely to its axis by means of at least one transverse pin, thereby stabilizing the screw connection between bone and bone screw.
- a targeting handle is used, which comes teosynthese in another form also in the Marknagelos used. After inserting the bone screw into the bone, the insertion handle is inserted with a short leg into the corresponding grooves of the head of the bone screw.
- the cross-longer leg of the target bracket adapted to the position and the penetration angle of the cross bolt holes are formed by which the cross bolt can be accurately inserted into the bone screw.

- the intramedullary nail has transverse to its longitudinal axis recesses into which transverse bolts are introduced, which fix the intramedullary nail in the axial and rotational direction.
- the transverse pins are visualized by the surgeon when inserting the intramedullary nail either via X-rays or with the help of a Targeting device controlled.
- the transverse bolts can be introduced both transversely and inclined to lock the smooth intramedullary nail.
- the recess is aligned at an angle obliquely to the axis of the shank of the bone screw. Also, two off ⁇ savings for insertion depending on a transverse pin at a distance from each other can be provided in the shaft. Further, the recesses may be aligned parallel to each other or at an angle to each other.
- the two recesses may be located near the head and near the free end of the shank or at the free end of the shank. This ensures that the transverse pins in the cortical bone, ie in the outer shell of the bone, intervene.
- the recesses consist of transverse bores in the shank of the bone screw and the transverse bolts consist of locking screws which can be inserted or screwed into the transverse bores.
