Abstract

L'invention concerne une pièce ou un élément destiné à des machines, en particulier des machines de grande taille, cette pièce ou cet élément étant constitué de fonte contenant du graphite incorporé dans une structure primaire. L'invention vise à obtenir une résistance élevée, ainsi qu'une bonne usinabilité et de bonnes propriétés tribologiques. À cet effet, une troostite à fines lamelles est formée en tant que matériau de matrice dans lequel le graphite est inséré sous forme lamellaire, par un refroidissement contrôlé conformément à une relation température/temps prédéfinie avec un processus de normalisation à 850-900°C, suivi d'un refroidissement rapide jusqu'à environ 400°C, puis d'un refroidissement résiduel plus lent.
