Même si un palier d'un côté est endommagé de manière à ne plus pouvoir tourner, la structure peut continuer à tourner, ce qui permet de prolonger le délai de remplacement et de réparation du rouleau de convoyeur (100) ; comme le premier palier et le deuxième palier peuvent répartir entre eux la rotation, la génération de chaleur depuis l'intérieur est réduite, et par conséquent, l'endommagement des paliers dû à une chaleur élevée peut être évité.
