Abstract

본 발명은 복합구성 편광판 세트 및 이를 포함하는 IPS 모드 액정표시장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 상판 및 하판 편광판에 정면 위상차값(R0)이 10 내지 100nm이고, 굴절률비(NZ)가 0.9 내지 1.1이며, 지상축이 편광자의 흡수축과 평행하도록 배치된 일축 연신된 포지티브 A 플레이트를 포함하는 복합구성 편광판 세트와, 이러한 복합구성 편광판 세트 및 IPS 모드 액정을 포함하는 액정표시장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 복합구성 편광판 세트는 고온 다습한 환경에 장시간 노출된 경우에도 물리적 저항성이 우수하여 설계된 위상차 보상 효과를 유지할 수 있어 이를 포함하는 IPS 모드 액정표시장치는 고온 다습한 환경하에서도 시야각 확보가 가능하고, 경사면에서의 색감이 우수하다.
