Description
Nailing machine
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a wood-processing machine, respectively to the machine for nailing wooden parts, which comprises an electro-mechanical actuator as a compressive power element .
Background Art
At the present time, the hydraulic cylinders are primarily used for movement of pressing ram to nail wooden pallets. The device is designed so that the hammers are placed on horizontal bar under pressing ram. The hammers are fed with nails from swing trays. The nails are pressed into the wooden parts by moving the pressing ram. After the pressing ram is lifted, the nails are refilled into hammers to continue with another cycle. The movement of the pressing ram by use of hydraulics has many disadvantages. First, it is necessary to control the pressure, possible leaks and oil temperature, while every 6 months the hydraulic oil replacement is required. The operation of such machine is also quite noisy, eco^unfriendly and energy- consuming. This is given by the fact that the engines of the hydraulic device, which has up to 9kW of power, are still running when the machine is powered up.
Disclosure of the Invention
The present invention lies in use of the electro-mechanical actuator as a part of the machine for nailing wood parts responsible for movement of the pressing ram. Compared to the hydraulics, the electromechanical actuators have several advantages. For example, actuators are silent when in process; they have high degree of positioning accuracy and are reliable; they can reach higher travel speeds and are energetically much more efficient and eco-friendly . The motion of the actuators is based on servo engines, preferably with 4kW of power. The engines run only during the movement of the pressing ram, which
means that they are not in process at all tii
energy substantially, respectively by 60% in contrast to commonly used hydraulics. The functions and positioning of electromechanical actuator (s) is apparent from the figures disclosed .
The pressing cycle of the machine is initiated by starting the electromechanical actuators, the actuators exerting the force on pressing ram. Further, the pressing ram pushes the sliding bars mounted to the hammers and presses the nails into wood parts. The hammers are fixed to the cross-bar.
The actuator itself comprises a sliding rod and a solid part with flanges for mounting to the machine frame and for mounting to the spacer of the drive unit. Further it comprises the spacer of drive unit and the drive unit itself, i.e. the servo engine. A clamping block of the ram is mounted onto the rod. The clamping block is provided with openings for inserting the steel mounting screws and steel semilunar securing parts. Compared to the hydraulics, the disadvantage of this solution is higher purchase price, which, on the other hand, is compensated with lower operating costs.
Disclosure of the Figures

Nailing machine 2 for nailing wooden parts, such as palettes, wooden boxes and indented beams etc., where the pressing ram 3> is movable in vertical axis, the machine 2 comprises electromechanical actuators 1 for exerting mechanic pressure on the pressing' ram 3. Further, the pressing ram _3 pushes the sliding bars of the hammers 4_, thereby pressing the nails into wooden parts 6. The hammers 4 are fixed to the cross-bar 5.
The electromechanical actuator comprises a sliding rod 7, which in this example has elevation of 280mm, further it comprises
solid part 8 with flanges for mounting to t
and for mounting to a spacer 9 of the drive unit _10. Further it comprises the spacer 9 of drive unit _10 and the drive unit 10. Further, it comprises a clamping block 11 of the ram _3. The clamping block 11_ is provided with openings for inserting the steel mounting screws and steel semilunar securing parts.
Industrial Utilization
The invention is industrially utilizable in wood-processing industry, especially for production of wooden pallets and other products, where the fabrication process involves nailing.
