- a plurality of radio base stations eNB constitutes E-UTRAN (Evolved-UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network).
- Each of the plurality of radio base stations eNB forms a cell that is an area for providing a communication service to the radio terminal UE.
- the radio terminal UE is a radio communication device possessed by a user and is also referred to as a user device.
- the radio terminal UE connects to the radio signal having the highest received power (RSRP: “Reference” Signal “Received” Power) of the reference signal among the plurality of radio base stations eNB.
- RSRP Reference
- SNR Signal to Noise ratio
- the radio base stations eNB can communicate with each other via an X2 interface that is a logical communication path that provides inter-base station communication.
- Each of the plurality of radio base stations eNB can communicate with EPC (Evolved Packet Core), specifically, MME (Mobility Management Entity) / S-GW (Serving Gateway) via the S1 interface.
- EPC Evolved Packet Core
- MME Mobility Management Entity
- S-GW Serving Gateway
- the OFDMA Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Multiple Access
- SC-FDMA Single-Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Multiple Access
- Each method is applied.
- an FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) method or a TDD (Time Division Duplex) method is applied as a duplex method.
- FIG. 2A is a frame configuration diagram showing a downlink radio frame configuration when the FDD scheme is used.
- the downlink radio frame is composed of 10 downlink subframes, and each downlink subframe is composed of two downlink slots.
- Each downlink subframe has a length of 1 ms, and each downlink slot has a length of 0.5 ms.
- Each downlink slot includes seven OFDM symbols (transmission symbols) in the time axis direction (time domain), and includes a plurality of resource blocks (RB) in the frequency axis direction (frequency domain).
- Each RB includes 12 subcarriers.
- FIG. 2B is a frame configuration diagram showing the configuration of the downlink subframe.
- the downlink subframe includes two consecutive downlink slots.
- a section of a maximum of 3 OFDM symbols from the beginning of the first downlink slot in the downlink subframe is a control region constituting a radio resource used as a PDCCH for transmitting DCI as control information.
- DCI corresponds to uplink and downlink scheduling information and the like.
- the maximum 3 OFDM symbols are described here, the maximum 4 symbols can be used when the system bandwidth is narrow.
- the remaining OFDM symbol section of the downlink subframe is a data area constituting a radio resource used as a PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) for transmitting data information.
- the control area may include PCFICH (Physical, Control, Format, Indicator, Channel), PHICH (Physical, Hybrid, Automatic, Repeat, Request, Indicator, and Channel).
- the radio terminal UE can specify data information transmitted via the PDSCH by decoding DCI transmitted via the PDCCH.
- the radio terminal UE can specify the number of OFDM symbols in the time axis direction in the control region in the downlink subframe by PCFICH.
- Radio base station eNB can control the coding rate by controlling the number of CCE allocations for each radio terminal UE.
- radio resources can be used efficiently by reducing the number of CCE allocations.
- the radio terminal UE performs blind decoding, specifically, decodes all the CCE numbers, and detects the number of CCEs when correctly decoded as the assigned CCE number.
- the first embodiment is an embodiment when the present invention is applied to a heterogeneous network.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic configuration diagram of the wireless communication system 1A according to the first embodiment.
- the radio communication system 1A includes a macro cell base station MeNB (high power base station or high power base station), a radio terminal MUE connected to the macro cell base station MeNB, and a macro cell formed by the macro cell base station MeNB.
- the picocell base station PeNB (also referred to as a hot zone node) is a low power base station having a transmission output (maximum transmission power) smaller than that of the macrocell base station MeNB. For this reason, in the heterogeneous network, when the selection criterion for selecting the radio base station eNB having the highest RSRP and connecting the radio terminal UE is adopted, the cell coverage of the pico cell base station PeNB (the range in which the radio terminal UE can be accommodated) May become narrower. In particular, under the situation where the pico cell base station PeNB is close to the macro cell base station MeNB, the cell coverage of the pico cell base station PeNB becomes very narrow, and the pico cell base station PeNB cannot be effectively used.
- the following two methods can be mainly used as a method capable of extending the cell coverage of the picocell base station PeNB without increasing the transmission output of the picocell base station PeNB.
- the radio base station eNB that transmits the radio signal having the largest RSRP is not selected as the connection destination of the radio terminal UE, but the radio base station having the smallest propagation loss (path loss) with the radio terminal UE.
- the radio terminal UE can receive radio signals from each of the macro cell base station MeNB and the pico cell base station PeNB
- the RSRP corresponding to the pico cell base station PeNB is compared with the RSRP corresponding to the macro cell base station MeNB.
- the pico cell base station PeNB is preferentially selected as the connection destination, the cell coverage of the pico cell base station PeNB can be expanded.
- it replaces with adding an offset value to RSRP corresponding to picocell base station PeNB, and the same effect is acquired by subtracting an offset value from RSRP corresponding to macrocell base station MeNB.
- the entity that selects the connection destination of the radio terminal UE is the radio terminal UE when the radio terminal UE is waiting (idle state), and the connection destination when the radio terminal UE is executing communication (active state). It is a radio base station eNB. Since the measured value of RSRP is periodically reported from the radio terminal UE to the connected radio base station eNB in the active state, the connected radio base station eNB can select the next connection destination of the radio terminal UE. .
- Macro cell base station MeNB transmits DCI for controlling radio
- the picocell base station PeNB transmits DCI for controlling radio communication with the radio terminal PUE using PDCCH.
- These PDCCHs have overlapping frequency bands.
- each PDCCH of the macro cell base station MeNB and the pico cell base station PeNB overlaps on the time axis. As a result, the PDCCHs of the macro cell base station MeNB and the pico cell base station PeNB interfere with each other.
- the radio terminal PUE connected to the pico cell base station PeNB receives received power from the macro cell base station MeNB (RSRP) rather than received power from the pico cell base station PeNB (RSRP).
- RSRP macro cell base station MeNB
- RSRP may be higher.
- the PDCCH used by the picocell base station PeNB receives large interference from the PDCCH used by the macrocell base station MeNB, and the radio terminal PUE cannot receive (decode) DCI.
- the picocell base station PeNB sends the usage control information for controlling the PDCCH usage amount, which is the amount of radio resources used by the macrocell base station MeNB as the PDCCH, via the X2 interface.
- the PDCCH usage amount means, for example, the number of OFDM symbols in the time domain direction of the control region described above or the CCE amount of the control region.
- the PDCCH usage amount is a concept including the PDCCH usage rate.
- FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing a configuration of the picocell base station PeNB.
- the picocell base station PeNB includes an antenna unit 101, a radio communication unit 110, a control unit 120, a storage unit 130, and an X2 interface communication unit 140.
- the X2 interface communication unit 140 corresponds to a transmission unit that transmits control information.
- the radio communication unit 110 is configured using, for example, a radio frequency (RF) circuit, a baseband (BB) circuit, and the like, and transmits and receives radio signals to and from the radio terminal PUE via the antenna unit 101.
- the wireless communication unit 110 also modulates the transmission signal and demodulates the reception signal.
- the control unit 120 is configured using, for example, a CPU, and controls various functions provided in the picocell base station PeNB.
- storage part 130 is comprised using memory, for example, and memorize
- the X2 interface communication unit 140 performs inter-base station communication with other radio base stations using the X2 interface.
- the control unit 120 includes a target subframe determination unit 121, a PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122, and a usage amount control information generation unit 123.
- the target subframe determination unit 121 determines target subframes per radio frame that are targets for controlling the PDCCH usage of the macro cell base station MeNB. That is, the usage amount control information is configured such that the PDCCH usage amount can be specified in units of downlink subframes.
- the target subframe determining unit 121 may determine the target subframe according to the ratio of UEs that require interference suppression of PDCCH among a plurality of radio terminals PUE connected to the picocell base station PeNB. .
- the target subframe determining unit 121 increases the number of target subframes as the ratio of UEs that require PDCCH interference suppression is higher.
- the target subframe determining unit 121 can identify the radio terminal PUE that needs to suppress the PDCCH interference based on the reception quality information (measurement report or the like) reported from each radio terminal PUE. Furthermore, when the PDCCH of the macro cell base station MeNB is controlled by another pico cell base station, the target subframe determining unit 121 desirably coordinates the control of the own station with the control. That is, target subframe determining section 121 determines the same subframe as the target subframe determined by another picocell base station. Therefore, the macro cell base station MeNB or another pico cell base station may be configured to notify the pico cell base station PeNB of information indicating the current target subframe via the X2 interface. Alternatively, the pico cell base station PeNB may request the macro cell base station MeNB or another pico cell base station to notify the information indicating the current target subframe.
- the PDCCH usage amount determining unit 122 determines the PDCCH usage amount of the macro cell base station MeNB for the target subframe determined by the target subframe determining unit 121. However, the PDCCH usage amount determining unit 122 may determine the PDCCH usage amount for all subframes. When the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122 determines the PDCCH usage amount for all subframes, the target subframe determination unit 121 is not necessary.
- the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122 determines that the PDCCH usage amount is decreased when the cell coverage of the picocell base station PeNB is expanded, compared to when the cell coverage is not expanded.
- the connection destination is selected on the basis of path loss instead of RSRP, or when RSRP is offset
- the cell coverage of the picocell base station PeNB is extended. Information regarding whether or not the cell coverage is extended is stored in advance in the storage unit 130 or obtained from the macro cell base station MeNB.
- the PDCCH usage amount determining unit 122 The PDCCH usage amount may be determined according to the value.
- the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122 decreases the PDCCH usage amount of the macrocell base station MeNB. It is preferable to determine as follows.
- the PDCCH usage amount determining unit 122 determines, for example, the number of OFDM symbols in the time axis direction that can be used as the PDCCH in the downlink subframe as a PDCCH usage amount within a range of 1 to 3 (or 1 to 4). Alternatively, the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122 determines, as the PDCCH usage amount, the proportion of CCEs that allow transmission of downlink control information out of all CCEs that can be used as PDCCH in the downlink subframe.
- the usage amount control information generation unit 123 generates usage amount control information by associating the target subframe determined by the target subframe determination unit 121 with the PDCCH usage amount determined by the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122. Alternatively, the usage amount control information generation unit 123 generates usage amount control information including information indicating the PDCCH usage amount for each downlink subframe determined by the PDCCH usage amount determination unit 122. A specific configuration example of the usage amount control information will be described later.
- the X2 interface communication unit 140 transmits the usage amount control information generated by the usage amount control information generation unit 123 through the X2 interface.
- the X2 interface communication unit 140 may transmit the usage amount control information only to a specific adjacent base station among the plurality of adjacent base stations. .
- FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing a configuration of the macro cell base station MeNB.
- the macro cell base station MeNB includes an antenna unit 201, a radio communication unit 210, a control unit 220, a storage unit 230, and an X2 interface communication unit 240.
- the X2 interface communication unit 240 corresponds to a receiving unit that receives control information.
- the radio communication unit 110 is configured by using, for example, a radio frequency (RF) circuit, a baseband (BB) circuit, and the like, and transmits and receives radio signals to and from the radio terminal MUE via the antenna unit 201.
- the wireless communication unit 210 also modulates the transmission signal and demodulates the reception signal.
- the control unit 220 is configured using a CPU, for example, and controls various functions provided in the macro cell base station MeNB.

- the X2 interface communication unit 240 performs inter-base station communication with other radio base stations using the X2 interface.
- the control unit 220 includes a usage amount control information interpretation unit 221 and a PDCCH usage amount control unit 222.
- the usage amount control information interpretation unit 221 interprets the usage amount control information received by the X2 interface communication unit 240, and identifies the target subframe and its PDCCH usage amount. Alternatively, the usage amount control information interpretation unit 221 interprets the usage amount control information and specifies the PDCCH usage amount for each subframe.
- the PDCCH usage amount control unit 222 controls the PDCCH usage amount for each target subframe according to the target subframe specified by the usage amount control information interpretation unit 221 and its PDCCH usage amount.
- the PDCCH usage amount control unit 222 determines the number of OFDM symbols in the time axis direction that can be used as the PDCCH in the downlink subframe according to the PDCCH usage amount specified by the usage amount control information interpretation unit 221 (that is, in the time domain direction of the control region). The number of OFDM symbols) is controlled within a range of 1 to 3 (or 1 to 4).
- the PDCCH usage amount control unit 222 controls the CCE amount (ie, coding rate) of the PDCCH (control region) according to the PDCCH usage amount specified by the usage amount control information interpretation unit 221.
- the control unit 220 transmits information indicating the current target subframe via the X2 interface to the X2 interface communication unit. 240 may be notified to the picocell base station PeNB. Alternatively, when the control unit 220 is requested by the picocell base station PeNB to notify information indicating the current target subframe, the control unit 220 uses the X2 interface communication unit 240 to display information indicating the current target subframe. The station PeNB may be notified.

- the usage amount control information can be transmitted to a specific destination base station.
- the information indicating the PDCCH usage amount for each downlink subframe has the following configuration method.
- the first configuration method is a method of configuring the PDCCH usage amount for each of 10 subframes included in one radio frame, for example.

- the target subframe determination unit 172 determines a restriction target subframe in which the PDCCH usage amount of the own station should be limited to an upper limit value or less among 10 subframes corresponding to one radio frame.
- the upper limit determination unit 173 determines the upper limit value of the PDCCH usage amount in the restriction target subframe.
- the PDSCH linkage determination unit 174 determines whether or not to link the PDSCH usage of the own station for the restriction target subframes determined by the target subframe determination unit 172.
- the PDCCH notification generation unit 175 is based on the restriction target subframe determined by the target subframe determination unit 172, the upper limit value determined by the upper limit value determination unit 173, and the presence or absence of synchronization determined by the PDSCH linkage determination unit 174. - the PDSCH linkage determination unit 174 of the picocell base station PeNB determines whether or not to link the PDSCH usage of the own station for the restriction target subframe determined by the target subframe determination unit 172. For example, the PDSCH linkage determination unit 174 uses the upper limit value of the PDCCH usage amount determined by the upper limit value determination unit 173 as a determination criterion for the presence or absence of linkage. When the upper limit value of the PDCCH usage amount is low, the number of radio terminals PUE to which the PDSCH can be allocated in the restriction target subframe decreases, and the scheduling gain decreases.
