Abstract

The invention relates to an accessory for pneumatic wheels of the type comprising a functional combination of a rim and a tyre defining therebetween a sealed chamber with the corresponding inflation valve thereof, characterised in that the accessory comprises a preferably toroid annular body made from polyurethane foam and having a suitable shape and size to completely fill the chamber defined between the rim and the tyre of the wheel.

La presente invención se refiere a un accesorio para ruedas neumáticas, en particular para ruedas de bicicletas y similares. Para ello y de forma mas concreta, dicho accesorio se materializa en un cuerpo toroidal, de espuma de poliuretano, dimensionalmente adecuado para rellenar la cámara estanca definida entre llanta y cubierta, de manera que aunque el aire con el que se presuriza dicha cámara se siga desplazando en el interior de la misma desde la zona de apoyo al resto de la rueda, el citado cuerpo de espuma de poliuretano mantiene sustancialmente independizadas llanta y cubierta, permitiendo la deformación de ésta última, pero sin llegar ni mucho menos a los límites de una rueda convencional sin tal accesorio. A la vista de las figuras reseñadas puede observarse como el accesorio que la invención propone consiste en un cuerpo toroidal (1), es decir un cuerpo anular de sección circular, obtenido a base de espuma de poliuretano, cuerpo toroidal cuyo diámetro es acorde con el diámetro de la rueda (2) a que se destina, teniendo en cuenta que está destinado a ocupar la cámara estanca definida entre la llanta (3) y la cubierta (4) de dicha rueda (2). Aunque preferentemente la sección de dicho cuerpo toroidal (1) será circular, como anteriormente se ha dicho, es factible que la sección adopte otra configuración, como por ejemplo copiando con exactitud el perfil de la cámara definida entre la llanta (3) y la cubierta (4).
