Abstract

The wiping plate (3) according to the invention makes it possible to pick up a wiping cloth (6) of approximately the same size as the wiping plate in a hands-free manner in order to then wipe back and forth therewith. The wiping plate is partially provided with hook-and-loop fastener strip material (4) on the lower face of the wiping plate. The part not covered by hook-and-loop fastener strip material is made of soft elastic material (5). When the wiping plate is pressed onto the wiping cloth, which is lying on a flat surface, without a counter-piece to the hook-and-loop fastener strip material on the wiping plate being specifically present on the wiping cloth, the wiping cloth is picked up in a hands-free manner and is securely retained on the wiping plate even during wiping back and forth. Such a wiping plate creates an enormous increase in convenience and provides considerable material savings and therefore also cost savings. There are cleaning systems, consisting of a floor wiper with bottom planar wiper plate and specially developed, replaceable wipes that can be attached to this wiper plate. The wipers are for example equipped with a flexible turret, so that the wiper plate to the handle handle can take any angle and thus difficult to reach places are reachable, such as floor areas under furniture, or hard to reach corners.

The special wipes to be used with such wiper systems clean dry surfaces very thoroughly and comfortably by attracting and holding the dirt. As soon as the cloth is wiped over a surface, an electrostatic charge is created. As a result, dust, hair, lint, crumbs and other particles are drawn to the cloth and held inside. A micro-pocket structure of the extra-thick cloth holds the inward-guided dust. With wet floor cleaning cloths, floors are cleaned simply and thoroughly in a single wiping process. This cleaning method is suitable for all floors made of linoleum, PVC, ceramics, tiles, marble as well as treated and sealed, possibly oiled wooden floors. The floor cleaning wipes are usually offered in refills of 10 to 40 wet floor wipes.

To attach such a cloth on the wiper plate is the Wiper plate placed on the cloth, which has a larger area than the base plate and therefore surmounted this wiper plate on all sides. The protruding parts of the cloth are turned up around the wiper plate and clamped on top of the wiper plate. For this purpose, the wiper plate on its upper side, for example, rubber inserts with slots or a slot cross. The turned-over cloth edges are then inserted or stuffed between these slots, preferably two-ply, so that they are clamped between the slots due to the rubber-elastic material of these inserts. This system is shown, for example, in US 2009/0265872 and described in section [0028].

This clamping of the towels used so requires that the towels have a total of almost twice as much area as the wiper plate, so just their edges can be wrapped around the wiper plate and clamped in these slots. Attaching the wipes to the wiper plates must be done by hand. Either you bend down to the floor and beat the cloth around the wiper plate lying on the floor and stuff cloth from the folded edge into the slots provided, or you lift the wiper plate and fasten the cloth at a comfortable working height. Each attachment of a cloth but makes a few handles necessary, which are correspondingly time consuming. If a cloth is soiled and worn, it is removed from the wiper plate or torn off and discarded, and then a fresh cloth must be attached to the wiper plate. Such replacement of cloths is due every few minutes depending on the degree of soiling to be removed, namely, once the cloth is soiled and loses its cleaning power. A large part of the cloth, namely its edges, is never needed for effective cleaning, but only serves to attach the cloth to the wiper plate. About half of the cloth is therefore in principle thrown away meaningless.

The object on which the present invention is based is to provide a wiper plate with associated wiper cloth to his_free-handed recording, so so the wiper cloth with minimal effort attachable to the wiper blade, and that also much fabric can be saved.

Such a wiper plate creates a tremendous increase in comfort and a significant material and therefore cost savings. The entire cloth surface is effectively used for the actual cleaning purpose and no clean cloth areas need to be disposed of.

Reference to the following drawings, the conventional fastening system is first shown and then the inventive wiper plate for hands-free recording of a wiper cloth in different versions. The wiper plate with the wiper cloth attached thereto can then be moved back and forth, and the wiper blade moved back and forth remains securely attached to the wiper plate.

In Figure 1, a conventional wiper with handle 1 is first shown, which is connected via a rotary joint 2 with the wiper plate 3. On the upper side of the wiper plate 3, four fastening elements 8 made of rubber-elastic material are arranged in the corner regions, each having a plurality of intersecting slots. FIG. 2 shows how a cleaning cloth 6 is fastened to such a wiper plate 3. However, this type of fixation is expensive. It takes several steps and above all larger cloths are needed than the area with which effectively wipes and cleans. The two overlapping edges of the cleaning cloth so serve only for its attachment and they are then thrown away unconsumed in principle, although they have the same cleaning power as the middle part of the cloth.

In Figure 3, an inventive wiper plate 3 is now seen in a view from the side, that is seen from the side on its narrow side. It is also equipped with a handle via a swivel joint 2 so that it can easily be pushed back and forth on the floor. As a special feature, this wiper plate 3 is equipped on its underside along its front and along its rear longitudinal edge, each with a band of Velcro material. This material has many small hooks, some of which have hooks that are only 90 ° curved, or hooks that are slightly more than 90 ° bent. The rest of the underside of the wiper plate is here equipped with parallel juxtaposed profiles 9 or hollow profiles of a soft elastic material 5. This material may also be a soft foam, a foamed plastic, or it may be rubbery fins. The tips of the hooks of the Velcro material project beyond the surface of this rubber-elastic material 5 very slightly, preferably by about 0.1 to 0.3 mm. The wiper cloth is only as large as the surface of the wiper plate. But the wiper cloth is of course decidedly smaller than in the conventional attachment. It saves about 40% cloth! The fact that the hooks project slightly beyond the soft-elastic material 5 or these pofiles 9 proves to be important for the sufficient holding force. The soft-elastic coating shown here ensures that the main contact force acts in the area where this soft-elastic coating is deployed between the wiper plate and the wiper cloth adhering thereto and, moreover, this coating compensates for slight unevenness in the floor. The Velcro strips along the longitudinal edges of the wiper plate take over only the function to fix the wiper cloth sufficiently on the wiper plate, so that the wiper cloth with the wiper plate from the floor can be lifted and secondly when wiping back and forth is securely held. The replacement of a wiper cloth is now extremely easy vonstatten. In Figure 4, a second variant of the design of the underside of the wiper plate 3 is shown. In Figure 5, a further design variant is shown, where in addition a middle strip of Velcro strip material 4 is applied. In Figure 7, yet another variant is shown with non-continuous band material. In a further embodiment of the wiper plate, this is completely covered on its underside with Velcro strip material 4. The soft-elastic to hard-elastic intermediate layer consists for example of a foam, of a soft or harder rubber plate or more soft, juxtaposed rubber strips, or of several rubber-elastic profiles or hollow profiles. This intermediate layer can be fastened by means of click fasteners on the underside of the handle plate, or else laminated or screwed or otherwise secured on the same. With this embodiment of the wiper plate especially multi-layer wipes can be added and wiped with them without the hooks of the Velcro material on the floor can leave scratches, because the intermediate layer unfolds a muffling effect when wiping.

The wiper cloths are so special as only with Velcro material and without Velcro counterpart on the cleaning cloth attached to the wiper plate, and they are the same size as the wiper plate, or only slightly larger. The soft elastic coating 7 may be pulled in a variant on the side edges as edge protectors, or be pulled over the top of the wiper plate as an edge protector or as an optical design element on. Conventionally, conventional fastening elements 8 can optionally additionally be arranged on the upper side. These can be used when a particularly rough surface is to be cleaned and the holding power of the Velcro strip material should not be sufficient, or when a specific wiper cloth is not suitable for these Velcro straps. The cleaning device can be used in various sizes as a floor or handset, with and without handle, for the cleaning of all smooth surfaces.
