Abstract

LED 조명기구 및 이를 이용한 조명장치가 개시된다. 열전달 충진제가 LED 광원부가 수용된 히트싱크의 광원수용부의 내부의 빈 공간을 전부 메우도록 채워진다. 또한 LED 소자의 앞쪽 출광면 위에 투명한 열전도성 물질이 도포되면서 광원수용부에 마련된 출광용 개구가 폐쇄된다. LED 소자에서 발생한 열의 일부는 LED 소자가 장착된 PCB를 거쳐 히트싱크에 전달되지만, 나머지 일부는 열전달 충진제에 의한 열전도를 통해 히트싱크로 전달되어 방열되고 또 다른 나머지는 투명한 열전도성 물질을 통해 열전도로 히트싱크 및 바깥공기로 방열된다. 또한, 각 LED 소자는 히트싱크를 '최근접' 배치되도록 설계하여 열전달 충진제에 의한 열전도 경로가 최단거리화 된 구조이다. 열전도성 물질이 LED 소자의 모든 접촉 부위로부터 열을 직접 흡수하여 열전도로 전방위적 최단경로를 통해 고르게 히트싱크로 전달함으로써, 방열이 효과적으로 이루어져 LED 소자의 과열이 예방되고 그에 따라 우수한 광학적 특성과 소자의 수명이 길어진다. 이러한 LED 조명기구를 여러 개 결합하여 실내외용 LED 조명장치를 구성할 수 있다.
