Abstract
Um einen Turboverdichter umfassend ein Verdichtergehäuse in welchem ein eintretender Gasvolumenstrom durch einen Einlasskanal einem Laufradkanal zugeführt wird, im Laufradkanal durch ein Laufrad verdichtet wird und vom Laufradkanal über einen Auslasskanal abgeführt wird, und mit einem im Verdichtergehäuse vorgesehenen außerhalb des Laufradkanals und des Einlasskanals verlaufenden Strömungsumleitungskanal welcher mit einer einlassseitigen Öffnung in den Einlasskanal und mit einer laufradseitigen Öffnung in den Laufradkanal mündet und welcher in Abhängigkeit von einer Druckdifferenz zwischen den Öffnungen einen Umleitungsvolumenstrom führt, derart zu verbessern, dass dieser optimal bei Volumenströmen betrieben werden kann, die weit unter dem für den Auslegungspunkt vorgesehenen Volumenstrom liegen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Strömungsumleitungskanal ausgehend von der laufradseitigen Öffnung eine sich bis zur einlassseitigen Öffnung vergrößernde Strömungsquerschnittsfläche aufweist.
