Definitions

  • Electricity as an alternative source of energy has no impact in terms of damage to the environment and is capable of adapting it to many applications.
  • Cars have an electric energy generation and storage system that works with a pulley that is attached to the engine crankshaft, which provides the mechanical movement and the power necessary for the alternator (generator) to remain running, sometimes for some reasons. As it fails in some of the components of the system or leave on some electrical component for a long period of time without starting the engine, then the battery drains its charge, so it is necessary to go to the maintenance workshop, which causes a loss of time and an expense for the cost of maintenance and transfer of the vehicle.
  • the present invention is a practical solution by having a device of domestic characteristics that can charge the car battery, in a short period of time, which due to its size is easily transportable and can be used in any place that has an outlet.
  • the present invention is about a battery charger that operates on the basis of an electric motor to achieve the necessary mechanical movement and at the same time generate electric current in a generation and storage situation for later reuse.

  • An electric motor (1) which at the end of its axis has a pulley (2) to which a band (3) has been placed which is connected in turn with another pulley (2) located on the rotor shaft of the alternator (4) same as when turning at a certain speed It generates electrical energy which is directed to the battery (5) to charge or store this energy so that it can be used later.
  • a regulator (6) intervenes that feeds and controls the supply of electric current to the alternator (4), allowing the generated energy to be stored in the battery (5), and measured by the voltmeter (7) and the ammeter (8). It also has a connection terminal (9) that is connected to the alternator and allows recharging the battery (5).
  • This also has a wooden or plastic base (10), which has the function of supporting the components of the battery charger and allowing the isolation of the same, it has a housing (17), which is used to place the switch Ignition (18), and the cycle start switch (19), also serves to protect the components and shape the device, has two holes (24), which are used as vents for the electric motor and the alternator.
  • connection cables (21) for the battery there are two connection cables (21) for the battery, as well as a connection cable (22) to the outlet.
  • the wooden base (10) can be replaced by plastic material or some other insulator to prevent physical earth from making contact with the electric motor and preventing its operation.
  • the battery charger with electric motor may have a pull handle (16), handle or handle to be transported manually and may have motors of different power according to the requirements of the type of battery, in some of these variants the base will have rims (14), for transfer as well as a frame (11). Based on the above, we can affirm the following benefits of the battery charger with electric motor:
  • connection cables (21) to the battery at their corresponding poles.
