Description

VEHICULO PARA ENTRENAMIENTO DE ARTILLEROS  VEHICLE FOR TRAINING OF ARTILLEROS
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a vehicle for training gunners of support firearms mounted on helicopters. This vehicle allows the different training of specialized artillery personnel before starting its operation directly on the aircraft. In addition, it fulfills the function of helping the instructors with the training of the students in any type of terrain and not only in the conditions of an aircraft. This implies a significant reduction in the costs of operation and maintenance, since the vehicle simulates the movements that a helicopter can make and puts the gunner in situations similar to those that occur during a combat from an aircraft.
The vehicle is based on a series of mechanical elements that include a wheel system, a damping system, a vehicle drag lever and a support for the weapon to be used, especially support weapons or machine guns that generate a high force of recoil with each shot.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCION BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
One of the biggest problems that arise during the training of gunners operating support weapons or machine guns that are to be installed in a helicopter, is that it requires the operation of the aircraft to perform the training. To date there was no system in the state of the art that simulates the movements and situations that occur in flight, therefore, much of this training must be carried out on the ground. Thus, for the operator to become familiar with the weapon it has been necessary for him to sit on the ground, in order to try to simulate shooting conditions in the best way, and use his body as a support in order to counteract the effect of the recoil force mentioned above. This has caused serious problems or injuries to both the legs and the back of the gunner, due to the heavy weight of the weapon and the recoil force produced with each shot.
Additionally, when the gunner is not seated and supports this type of weapons on his body, he usually uses his shoulder or some other part of the body as a support, frequently he suffers injuries, since when performing multiple shots in a row the butt or back of the body Weapon hits your body every time a recoil occurs due to the shot.
In view of the above, it is necessary to have a device or system that allows the training of gunners on the ground, which does not require the operation of the aircraft for its development, which implies a reduction in costs , and simulate the situations and movements that occur when the helicopter is in flight.
In this sense, in the state of the art there are several types of vehicles for the training of gunners. One of these is found in DE 3736929, which refers to a device for training gunners in open air, preferably for air defense but which can also be applied to ground targets. This device is based on a recording and a data processing system, where the background of the objective is recorded and digitized and then processed by a computer that has specialized software to which the information that is displayed is entered to the user through pointing devices.
The main disadvantage of the invention described in said document is that the training device must be anchored to the ground to have a support and prevent the weapon from moving with each of the shots fired by the gunner. This limits it in movement and makes it necessary to have a fixed installation infrastructure that increases the costs of production. Additionally, the device requires a computer system with software, which makes it very complex and expensive because it is necessary to have specialized personnel for the maintenance and programming of the entire computer system of the device.
Considering the above information, it is evident that there was a need in the state of the art to design and implement a vehicle for gunner training that simulates the movement generated by a helicopter when it is in combat operations and the recoil caused by weapons. of support, thus eliminating the need to depend on the availability of the aircraft to carry out the training of the gunners. In addition, it would be convenient for the vehicle to be used on any type of terrain and even serve to control situations of public order problems, since said vehicle can be used as a support weapon for military personnel on land and can be transported in an easy way, hooking it to any cargo drag vehicle, such as a tractor.

El vehículo (1 ) para entrenamiento de artilleros objeto de la presente invención, comprende los siguientes elementos o partes: The vehicle (1) for training of gunners object of the present invention, comprises the following elements or parts:
• A vehicle body (2), which corresponds to the main structure on which all the elements of the vehicle (1) are assembled. This vehicle body (2) has an upper surface (21) that serves as the basis for the support elements (5) for the weapon (10) mounted on the vehicle (1). Above it is located the gunner either standing or sitting in a seat (6) fixed to said surface. In addition, the body (2) is characterized by being hollow inside, which creates a compartment (22) to store the ammunition and any other type of equipment that may be useful at the time of developing the training of the gunners .
• Four wheels (3) that allow the vehicle (1) to be easily moved and it is not necessary to anchor it to the ground at the time of carrying out the instruction to the personnel.
• Each of the four wheels (3) is connected to a damping system (4), which allows the vehicle (1) to have movements similar to those that occur during the flight of a helicopter and makes the training as close as possible to reality. Additionally, this damping system (4) fulfills the function of absorbing all the energy generated by the firing of the weapon, that is, it absorbs the energy of the recoil of the shots made with the weapon (10). • A support (5) for the weapon (10), which is attached to the body (2) by means of a base (51) welded to the structure of the vehicle (1) and fixed by means of a series of screws and nuts to the surface (21). In this support (5) install the weapon (10) by means of a weapon coupling (52), which protrudes on the top of said support (5) and is attached to the base (51) by means of a coupling mechanism (53).
Optionally, the vehicle (1) includes a seat (6), which serves as a support point for the gunner and is where he is going to sit for training.
Likewise, the vehicle of the invention optionally has a drag arm (7), which serves as a device so that the vehicle (1) can be towed by another vehicle, such as a tractor or a van, to place it in the field where the training is going to take place. This drag arm (7) is coupled to the tractor that will pull the vehicle (1) by means of a hitch (71) that is similar to that used by the tools used in the agricultural field to plow the land. Specifically, the damping system (4) is composed of a spiral damper (41), support bars (42) and a wheel attachment device (43), where the spiral (41) corresponds to the main component that goes to absorb all the energy generated by the recoil that occurs with each of the shots of the weapon (10). In addition, this spiral (41) allows the vehicle not to be rigid, which makes it easier for the vehicle to be transported on any type of terrain, be it swampy, dry, etc., and allows training on the ground regardless of soil conditions
In the same way, the support bars (42) prevent the vibration produced by the irregularities of the terrain from being transmitted to the vehicle (1) as such, and on the contrary, allow them to be absorbed by the spiral (41), achieving that the gunner sitting in the seat (6) does not sit or be affected by the vibrations generated by the ground on which it is being transported.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) has on its upper surface (21) an opening or door (23), which gives access to the compartment (22) used to store a plurality of items that can be useful at the time of carrying out the training, such as batteries, ammunition and other necessary intent. One of the main advantages of the vehicle (1) of the present invention is that the gunner can carry out his training in a real way, that is, as close to what is going to be experienced in the possible operation.
Additionally, said gunner can count on all the equipment he will have on the flight, such as bulletproof vest, helmet, uniform, gloves, etc., because of the versatility of the vehicle (1) and the existence of the compartment (22 ) It is possible to transport all these accessories that are obligatory in flight, to the place where the training is going to be carried out without exposing the elements harmful conditions that can cause damage or deterioration on said elements while they are mobilized to the terrain where the training or while gunner training is being done.
In another alternative of the present invention, the vehicle (1) has a camera system, preferably two, which are installed on the surface (21) at the corners opposite the side where the support (5) is located, that is, behind the gunner. They allow the instructor to monitor the actions of the gunner remotely, since it is not necessary for said instructor to be located exactly next to the student gunner to indicate the shots to be taken. In this alternative, student and instructor would have a communication system that allows the exchange of information between them. In another option, the vehicle (1) also has a communication system consisting of an antenna, in order to transmit the images captured by the cameras to a remote station, where the instructor will be located, and so he can carry out the evaluation of the gunner being trained.
One of the main advantages of the application of cameras in the vehicle, is that the instructor is located in another remote location, which improves the safety of the training process and the working conditions of the instructor, while allowing the gunner is more autonomous and does not have pressure from the instructor, but is monitored remotely, as is lived on the flight in the helicopter, where the instructor will not be next to him when an operation is being carried out. flight.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle (1) is also used in situations where public order has been altered, since the wheels (3) and the damping system (4) of said vehicle (1) facilitate that can be located anywhere in order to provide fire support to personnel who are on the ground and who are defending a specific location. This represents a significant advantage over existing vehicles in the state of the art, since not only is the use of the vehicle (1) limited to gunner training, but it can also be used in different combat situations, as needed. .
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the majority of the parts of the vehicle (1), with the exception of the surface (21) and the wheels (3), are made of armored metallic material, in order to provide safety when The vehicle (1) is used as support in situations where public order has been altered.
