Definitions

  • Present invention concerns a mixture intended for single-step modification of acidic papers, and a method of using the mixture.
  • a disadvantage of the so far deacidification methods is the fact that they are performed in several steps which is finally the reason why they are not suitable for all paper kinds.
  • the aim of the present invention is to strengthen the physical-chemical properties of acidic papers especially, the increase in the strength and strengthening of their stability against the ageing.
  • a mixture for single-step modification of acidic papers according to the present invention comprises a deacidification solution formed by a solution of magnesium hydrogen carbonate having a concentration of 0,08 to 0,12 mol/dm 3 and a solution of calcium hydrogen carbonate having a concentration of 0,008 to 0,012 mol/dm 3 in a ratio of 0,8:1 to 1 ,2:1.
