Abstract

The invention relates to a spacer arrangement (10) comprising at least one tensile force-transmitting element (300) that is subject to tensile stress and at least two counteracting pressure absorbers that are connected to the tensile force-transmitting element (300) and project so as to engage in opposite directions, said spacer arrangement (10) being used to keep walls apart in such a way as to prevent heat transfer between said walls to which a force is applied. Each wall (106, 107) is provided with a gas-tight barrier, and the thermal conductivity of the at least one tensile force-transmitting element is reduced by decreasing the cross-section thereof to the minimum tensile strength of the material used, plus a predefined safety margin. At least one pressure absorber (200) is symmetrically loaded by the two proportionate partial forces exerted by at least two tensile force-transmitting elements symmetrically touching the pressure absorber (200) in such a way that the generated tilting moments are mutually cancelled. Furthermore, the individual tensile force-transmitting element is monolithically designed at least inside an elementary arrangement (10) such that at least the solitary central pressure absorber (200) is used in an uninterrupted manner as a deflection member by the monolithic tensile force-transmitting element that touches and transmits pressure to said central pressure absorber (200).
