Abstract

본 발명은 율피 추출물로부터 카테킨, 에피카테킨, 및 갈릭 에시드를 분리하는 방법 및 율피 추출물과 이로부터 분리된 카테킨, 에피카테킨, 및 갈릭 에시드의 신규한 용도에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로 율피 추출물 또는 이로부터 분리된 카테킨, 에피카테킨, 및 갈릭 에시드 중에서 선택된 1 이상의 폴리페놀 성분을 포함하는 뇌질환 예방 및 치료용 조성물 및 뇌질환 개선용 기능성 건강 식품 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 조성물 및 기능성 건강 식품 조성물은 알츠하이머성 치매 질환 등을 포함한 퇴행성 뇌신경 질환에 특히 우수한 효과를 발휘한다.
