Abstract
본 발명은 액정 디스플레이에 사용되는 박막형 콜레스테릭 반사편광자에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명은, 입사된 가시광선 중 Red·Green·Blue 파장대역을 이루는 각각의 랜덤편광을 선택적으로 투과·반사시키도록 상이한 피치를 갖는 복수개의 콜레스테릭 액정층이 적층된 반사편광필름과, 상기 반사편광필름으로 투과된 원편광을 선편광으로 전환시키는 위상지연판을 포함하되, 상기 각각의 콜레스테릭 액정층만이 적층된 총 두께는 6.3㎛를 초과하지 않도록 구성하는 것이다. 상기와 같이 구성된 본 발명에 따르면, 박막화된 반사편광필름에 의해 위상지연의 발생을 낮추어 시야각 변화에 따른 색상의 왜곡현상을 현저히 낮출 수 있는 장점이 있다.
