Abstract
The present invention relates to a vertical bicycle storage rack using solar light as a power source, and more particularly, to a vertical bicycle storage rack which, as opposed to conventional horizontal bicycle storage racks, stores a bicycle at 90° in the vertical direction using power generated from solar light as a power source, and which stores the bicycle in a more convenient and safer manner as compared to the bicycle rack disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-08757413. For this purpose, the present invention is configured such that a lower frame (10) is installed on the ground, inclined plates are attached to side surfaces of the lower frame, a rail-type pillar member (20) is attached on the upper surface of the lower frame, a sunshield member (30) is attached to the top of the rail-type pillar member (20), a solar light generator (40) is attached on the upper surface of the sunshield member (30), a driving unit (50) is mounted at the intermediate portion of the rail-type pillar member (20), and a fork housing member (60) which accommodates a fork for holding a front wheel of the bicycle, moves in the upward and downward directions along the rail-type pillar member (20), and is driven by the driving unit to lift the front wheel of the bicycle held by the fork at 90° in the vertical direction. The bicycle storage rack of the present invention reduces a bicycle storage area to a minimum to not only ensure space for the smooth passage of vehicles and pedestrians on a road and a street, but to also achieve an aesthetic enhancement in terms of the urban landscape. The present invention is economical and is advantageous in that it uses an environmentally-friendly solar light generating device to achieve improved user convenience, and employs nightlights to prevent accidents.
