해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 또는 하역하기 위한 모바일 하버가 개시된다. 모바일 하버는 각각 부력을 조절함에 따라 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기거나 적어도 일부가 수면 위로 노출될 수 있는 부유지지체를 구비한다. 모바일 하버는 컨테이너선을 지지하기 위한 지지부와 화물이송선을 지지하기 위한 지지부를 구비한다. 지지부는 선박과 접촉하여 적어도 일부의 하중을 지지함으로써, 선박과 모바일 하버 사이의 상대적인 상하 운동을 감소시킨다. 또한, 하역 작업시 부유지지체를 수면 아래로 잠수시킴에 따라 모바일 하버가 차지하는 접촉 면적이 감소한다. 이에 따라 모바일 하버의 롤링 운동이 감소하여 안정적인 하역 작업이 이루어질 수 있다.

Description

반잠수식 모바일 하버 및 이를 이용한 화물 운송 방법
본 발명은 반잠수식 모바일 하버에 관한 것으로서, 더 구체적으로는, 도킹한 상태의 컨테이너선 및 화물이송선이 모바일 하버와 함께 상하 운동을 하도록 하고, 컨테이너선의 롤링 운동을 억제함으로써 해상에서 안정적으로 선적 및 하역 작업을 수행할 수 있는 반잠수식 모바일 하버에 관한 것이다.
최근 컨테이너선과 같은 해상 운송에 이용되는 선박이 대형화되는 추세이다. 향후에는, 예를 들어, 15,000 TEU 급의 컨테이너선이 주된 운송 수단이 될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 대형 선박을 접한시킬 수 있는 항구는 전세계적으로 많지 않으며, 이러한 항구를 새로 건설하기 위해서는 상당한 비용이 소요된다. 또한, 대형 항구가 근처의 환경에 미치는 영향을 고려하면 새로운 항구를 개발하는 것은 더욱 어려운 과제이다.
이와 관련하여, 본 출원인의 특허 제895,604호에서는 대형 선박을 육지로부터 떨어진 해상에 정박시킨 채로 화물을 선적하거나 하역할 수 있는 이동항구를 제안하였다. 위 특허에 개시된 이동항구는 해상에 정박한 대형 컨테이너선에 접근하고 컨테이너선으로부터 화물을 이동항구로 하역한 후에 다시 항구로 이동할 수 있다.
본 출원인의 특허출원 10-2008-90655호에는 다른 방식의 이동항구가 개시되어 있다. 위 출원에 개시된 이동항구는 해상에 정박한 컨테이너선과 접속한 상태를 유지하면서 화물을 하역하는 하역모듈과, 하역모듈에 의해 하역된 화물을 항구로 이송하는 소형의 이송모듈을 구비한다.
그러나, 전술한 이동항구들은 해상에서 컨테이너선과 서로 독립적으로 상하 운동을 하기 때문에 화물을 하역하는 데 어려움이 있다. 즉, 항구에는 외부로부터의 파도를 차단하는 방파제 등이 마련되어 있기 때문에, 접안한 상태의 선박이 부두에 대해 크게 상하 운동을 하지 않는다. 따라서 안정적인 하역 작업이 수행될 수 있다. 그러나, 부두로부터 떨어진 해상에서는 방파제와 같은 시설이 마련되기 어렵기 때문에 컨테이너선과 이동항구는 각각 상하 운동을 하게 된다.
또한, 해상에 위치한 선박이나 시설물은 상하 운동과 함께 롤링 운동을 하게 된다. 전술한 이동항구들에서는 선박과 이동항구가 개별적으로 롤링 운동을 하기 때문에, 상하 운동의 경우와 마찬가지로 하역 작업이 어려워지는 문제점이 있다. 특히, 크레인으로 하역 작업이 이루어지는 경우, 크레인의 스프레더가 컨테이너를 파지하기 위해 접근할 때나 컨테이너를 정확한 위치에 내려놓기 위해서는 컨테이너선과 이동항구의 상대적인 롤링 운동이 억제되어야 한다.
본 발명은 전술한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로서, 해상에 정박한 선박으로부터 화물을 선적 또는 하역할 때, 선박과 이동항구의 상대 운동을 줄여 안정적인 선적 또는 하역 작업이 가능하도록 하는 이동항구를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
또한, 컨테이너선이 이동항구에 도킹하거나 이동항구로부터 이탈한 후 다음 이동 경로로 진입할 때 소요되는 시간을 줄일 수 있는 화물 운송 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
전술한 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 발명의 일 형태에 따르면, 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 또는 하역하기 위한 모바일 하버로서, 개별적으로 부력을 조절할 수 있으며, 부력을 조절함에 따라 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기거나 적어도 일부가 수면 위로 노출될 수 있고, 서로 일정한 간격을 두고 평행하게 연장되는 2개의 부유지지체; 상기 2개의 부유지지체를 연결하며, 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절함에 따라 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하여 상기 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지함으로써 상기 컨테이너선의 상대적인 상하 운동이 발생되지 않도록 하기 위한 컨테이너선 지지부; 상기 각 부유지지체의 위쪽에서 부유지지체의 길이 방향을 따라 연장되며, 상면에 승무원의 작업을 위한 공간을 제공하는 2개의 데크부; 각 부유지지체에 대하여 각 데크부를 지지하며, 상기 부유지지체 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기는 경우 수선면적(水線面積)을 줄여 롤링 운동을 감소시키기 위한 복수개의 필라; 상기 2개의 데크부의 위쪽에 마련되며, 상기 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 양현에서 화물을 이송하기 위한 복수개의 크레인 상부 모듈을 구비하는 양현 하역용 크레인; 및, 상기 각 부유지지체의 바깥쪽 측면에 마련되며, 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지함으로써 상기 화물이송선의 상대적인 상하 운동이 발생되지 않도록 하기 위한 화물이송선 지지부를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버가 제공된다.
본 발명의 다른 형태에 따르면, 전술한 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하여 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 및 하역하는 방법으로서, (a) 상기 부유지지체와 연결된 상기 컨테이너선 지지부가 도킹할 컨테이너선의 선저부보다 아래에 위치하도록 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 상기 부유지지체를 하강시키는 단계; (b) 상기 컨테이너선이 도킹한 후에, 상기 컨테이너선 지지부가 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하여 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하도록 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 상기 부유지지체를 상승시키는 단계; (c) 화물이송선이 상기 화물이송선 지지부에 의해 적어도 일부의 하중이 지지되는 상태에서 상기 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선과 상기 화물이송선 사이에 화물의 선적 또는 하역 작업을 수행하는 단계를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법이 제공된다.
본 발명의 또다른 형태에 따르면 전술한 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하여 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 및 하역하는 방법으로서, (a) 상기 화물이송선 지지부가 수면 아래쪽에 위치한 상태에서 화물이송선을 상기 화물이송선 지지부의 위쪽으로 이동시키는 단계; (b) 상기 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 상기 화물이송선 지지부가 지지하도록 하기 위하여, 상기 화물이송선의 부력을 조절하여 상기 화물이송선의 선저부와 상기 화물이송선 지지부를 접촉시키는 단계; (c) 상기 모바일 하버에 도킹한 상태인 컨테이너선과 상기 화물이송선 지지부에 의해 지지되는 상기 화물이송선 사이에서 화물의 선적 또는 하역 작업을 수행하는 단계를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법이 제공된다.
본 발명에 따른 모바일 하버는, 해상에 정박한 선박으로부터 화물을 선적 또는 하역할 때, 선박과 이동항구의 상대 운동을 줄임으로써 안정적인 선적 또는 하역 작업이 가능하다.
또한, 모바일 하버는 회전 및 횡방향 이동이 가능하므로, 컨테이너선이 이동항구에 도킹하거나 이동항구로부터 이탈한 후 다음 이동 경로로 진입할 때 소요되는 시간이 단축된다.

이하 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 실시예를 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 이에 앞서, 본 명세서 및 청구범위에 사용된 용어나 단어는 통상적이거나 사전적인 의미로 한정해서 해석되어서는 아니되며, 발명자는 그 자신의 발명을 가장 최선의 방법으로 설명하기 위해 용어의 개념을 적절하게 정의할 수 있다는 원칙에 입각하여 본 발명의 기술적 사상에 부합하는 의미와 개념으로 해석되어야만 한다. 따라서, 본 명세서에 기재된 실시예와 도면에 도시된 구성은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 불과할 뿐이고 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 모두 대변하는 것은 아니므로, 본 출원시점에 있어서 이들을 대체할 수 있는 다양한 균등물과 변형예들이 있을 수 있음을 이해하여야 한다.
도 1 내지 도 3은 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 반잠수식 모바일 하버의 구조를 도시하고 있다. 도 1은 반잠수식 모바일 하버의 사시도, 도 2는 도 1에 도시된 모바일 하버의 부유지지체가 수면 아래로 잠수한 상태를 나타내는 정면도, 도 3은 도 1에 도시된 모바일 하버의 측면도이다. 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 모바일 하버(1)는 서로 일정한 간격을 두고 평행하게 연장되는 2개의 부유지지체(12,14), 2개의 부유지지체(12,14)를 연결하며 컨테이너선을 지지하기 위한 컨테이너선 지지부(20), 각 부유지지체(12,14)의 위쪽에 배치되는 데크부(32,34), 부유지지체(12,14)에 설치되어 데크부(32,34)를 지지하는 복수개의 필라(40), 데크부(32,34)의 위쪽에 설치되는 양현 하역용 크레인(50) 및 부유지지체(12,14)의 측면으로부터 바깥쪽으로 연장되는 화물이송선 지지부(60)를 포함한다.
부유지지체(12,14)는 모바일 하버(1)에 부력을 제공하여 모바일 하버(1)가 해상에 떠 있을 수 있도록 한다. 모바일 하버(1)가 좌우로 기울어지는 경우 자세를 조절하기 위하여 2개의 부유지지체(12,14)는 개별적으로 부력을 조절할 수 있다. 또한, 모바일 하버(1)의 길이 방향으로의 자세를 조절하기 위하여 각 부유지지체(12,14)는 길이 방향을 따라 적용되는 부력을 다르게 조절할 수 있다. 이를 위해 각 부유지지체(12,14)는 길이 방향을 따라 배치되는 복수개의 밸러스트 탱크를 구비한다.
부유지지체(12,14)는 부력을 조절함에 따라 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기거나 적어도 일부가 수면 위로 노출될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)로 도킹하는 경우에는 컨테이너선의 진입시 발생하는 해수의 유동을 방출시키기 위하여 부유지지체(12,14)를 수면 아래로 잠기도록 하강시키며, 모바일 하버(1)에 컨테이너선이 도킹되지 않은 상태에서 이동하는 경우에는 부유지지체(12,14)를 상승시켜 일부가 수면 위로 노출되도록 한다. 모바일 하버(1)의 이동시 저항을 줄이기 위하여 부유지지체(12,14)의 길이 방향의 양단은 유선형을 갖는 것이 바람직하다.
또한, 부유지지체(12,14)는 컨테이너선 지지부(20)와 협력하여 모바일 하버(1)와 도킹한 컨테이너선이 동일한 상하 운동(heave motion)을 하도록 함으로써, 모바일 하버(1)의 크레인(50)이 컨테이너선에 대해 안정적으로 화물을 선적하거나 하역할 수 있도록 한다.
컨테이너선 지지부(20)는 2개의 부유지지체(12,14)를 연결하여 모바일 하버(1)의 구조적 강성을 유지시키며 도킹한 컨테이너선을 지지한다. 본 실시예에서, 컨테이너선 지지부(20)는 부유지지체(12,14)의 하부에서 부유지지체(12,14)를 연결하는 복수개의 브리지(22)로 이루어진다. 브리지(22)에 의해 양쪽 부유지지체(12,14)가 연결되어 모바일 하버(1)는 비틀림에 강한 구조를 갖게 된다. 브리지(22)의 길이에 따라 부유지지체(12,14) 사이의 거리가 정해지고, 모바일 하버(1)가 도킹시킬 수 있는 선박의 폭이 결정된다.
컨테이너선이 도킹한 후에 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 증가시키면, 컨테이너선 지지부(20)가 컨테이너선을 밀어올림으로써 모바일 하버(1)와 도킹한 컨테이너선이 서로 접촉한 상태에서 함께 상하 운동을 하게 된다. 즉, 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 증가시키면 부유지지체(12,14) 및 이와 연결된 브리지(22)가 상승한다. 상승한 브리지(22)는 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하여 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지한다. 이를 통해 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)에 대해 상대적으로 상하 운동을 하지 않게 된다.
컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹하는 동안이나 모바일 하버(1)로부터 이탈하는 경우에는 컨테이너선 지지부(20)가 컨테이너선의 선저부로부터 떨어져야 한다. 따라서, 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 감소시켜서 부유지지체(12,14) 및 이와 연결된 브리지(22)를 하강시킨 후에 컨테이너선을 이동시킨다.
컨테이너선 지지부(20)는 선박의 선저부와 직접 접촉하기 때문에 선저부의 손상을 방지하기 위하여 충격완화부재를 구비하는 것이 좋다. 본 실시예에서, 브리지(22)의 상면에는 선저부와의 접촉시 충격을 완화시키기 위하여 방현부(24)(放舷部; fender)가 제공된다. 방현부(24)는 고무와 같은 탄성을 갖는 재료로 이루어지거나, 내부에 기체가 수용된 챔버가 마련되어 충격을 흡수할 수 있는 구조로 이루어질 수 있다.
데크부(32,34)는 각 부유지지체(12,14)의 위쪽에서 부유지지체(12,14)의 길이 방향을 따라 연장된다. 데크부(32,34)의 상면은 승무원이 작업하거나 화물을 임시로 적재할 수 있는 공간을 제공한다. 또한, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 모바일 하버(1)의 승무원들이 머무를 수 있는 데크 하우스(36)가 제공될 수 있다.
각 데크부(32,34)는 각 부유지지체(12,14)의 상면으로부터 위쪽으로 연장되는 복수개의 필라(40)에 의해서 지지된다. 본 실시예에서, 필라(40)는 대체로 원통형을 가지며, 각 데크부(32,34)는 부유지지체(12,14)의 길이 방향을 따라 4개의 필라(40)에 의해 지지되고 있다. 필라(40)는 데크부(32,34) 및 데크부(32,34) 위쪽에 배치된 크레인(50)의 하중을 적어도 부분적으로 지지한다. 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹하기 전에 부유지지체(12,14)는 수면 아래쪽으로 하강하여 필라(40)의 중간 부분이 수면과 같은 높이가 된다. 이에 따라, 도킹 중인 컨테이너선에 의해 발생하는 해수의 유동은 필라(40) 사이의 공간을 통해 외부로 방출되기 때문에 소용돌이 현상을 방지할 수 있으며, 모바일 하버(1)와 컨테이너선의 상대 운동이 감소된다. 컨테이너선에 대한 선적 또는 하역 작업 또한 상기 상태(부유지지체(12,14)가 수면 아래쪽으로 하강하여 필라(40)의 중간 부분이 수면과 같은 높이가 된 상태)에서 이루어진다. 이 경우, 필라(40)들이 차지하는 해면과의 접촉 면적은 부유지지체(12,14)가 차지하는 접촉 면적보다 작으므로, 즉, 컨테이너선의 수선면적(水線面積)이 작아지므로, 파도에 따른 모바일 하버(1)의 양쪽 부력 차이가 줄어들게 되며 롤링 운동이 크게 감소한다. 따라서, 안정적인 선적 및 하역 작업의 수행이 가능하다. 여기서, 수선면적이란, 선박이 수선(水線)을 따라 끊은 단면의 면적을 말한다.
양현 하역용 크레인(50)은 데크부(32,34)의 위쪽에 마련되며 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 양현에서 화물을 이송하기 위한 복수개의 크레인 상부 모듈(54)을 구비한다. 컨테이너선의 양현에서 하역하므로 한쪽에서만 하역하는 경우와 비교하여 2배의 하역효율을 갖는다. 또한, 도시된 바와 같이, 크레인(50)은 모바일 하버(1)의 길이 방향을 따라 크레인 상부 모듈(54)을 안내하기 위한 복수개의 안내부(52)를 구비하는 것이 좋다. 이 경우, 컨테이너선의 길이 방향을 따라 동시에 선적 또는 하역 작업이 이루어질 수 있으므로 작업 효율이 크게 증가한다. 양현 하역을 가능하도록 하기 위하여, 각 안내부(52)는 2개의 크레인 상부 모듈(54)을 갖는 것이 바람직하다.
크레인 상부 모듈(54)은 예를 들어, 안내부(52)를 따라 이동하는 대차(overhead trolley)와 컨테이너를 파지하는 헤드블록(headblock) 및 스프레더(spreader)와 대차와 헤드블록을 연결하는 로프를 구비한다. 대차를 구동하여 크레인 상부 모듈(54)이 하역할 컨테이너의 위쪽으로 이동한 후에 헤드블록을 하강시킨다. 스프레더를 이용해 컨테이너를 파지한 후에 헤드블록을 상승시키고 대차를 구동하여 화물을 하역할 공간의 위쪽으로 크레인 상부 모듈(54)을 이동시킨다. 예를 들어 화물이송선의 위쪽으로 이동한 크레인 상부 모듈(54)은 헤드블록을 하강시켜 파지한 컨테이너를 지정된 위치에 놓는다. 이러한 일련의 작업에서 모바일 하버(1)와 컨테이너선 사이의 간격 및 모바일 하버(1)와 화물이송선 사이의 간격은 일정하게 유지된다. 다만, 모바일 하버(1)의 롤링 운동에 의해 컨테이너를 파지 또는 하역하기 위해 하강한 헤드블록이 진동하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위한 한가지 방안으로서, 컨테이너 상부 모듈의 대차를 좌우로 운동시킬 수 있다. 즉, 제어 분야에서 알려진 역전 진자(inverted pendulum)의 제어 방법을 적용하여 대차를 좌우로 운동하도록 함으로써 헤드블록의 위치가 크게 변동하지 않도록 조절할 수 있다.
각 부유지지체(12,14)의 바깥쪽 측면에는 화물이송선 지지부(60)가 마련된다. 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 화물을 선적 또는 하역하는 동안 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지함으로써 모바일 하버(1)와 화물이송선이 함께 상하 운동을 하도록 한다. 이로써 안정적인 화물의 선적 또는 하역 작업이 가능하다.
컨테이너선 지지부(20)는 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 조절하여 모바일 하버(1)를 상승시킴으로써 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하였으나, 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 화물이송선의 부력을 조절하여 이러한 작용을 수행한다. 즉, 컨테이너선이 도킹한 상태에서 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 화물이송선의 선저부보다 아래쪽에 배치된다. 화물이송선은 화물이송선 지지부(60) 위쪽으로 이동한 후에, 자신의 부력을 조절하여 하강함으로써 선저부를 화물이송선 지지부(60)와 접촉시키고 하중의 일부를 화물이송선 지지부(60)가 지지하도록 한다. 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹된 후에는 다수의 화물이송선이 모바일 하버(1)와 부두 사이를 왕복해야 하는데, 각각의 화물이송선이 도착 및 이탈할 때마다 모바일 하버(1)가 상승 또는 하강해야 한다면 작업 효율이 현저하게 떨어진다. 따라서, 화물이송선이 모바일 하버(1)의 화물이송선 지지부(60)에 의해 지지될 수 있도록 화물이송선이 자체적으로 부력을 조절할 수 있도록 한 것이다.
컨테이너선 지지부(20)와 마찬가지로, 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 선저부와 접촉하는 부분에 방현재(62)를 구비하는 것이 좋다. 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 부유지지체(12,14)의 측면을 따라 배열된 복수개의 부재로 이루어지거나, 부유지지체(12,14)의 측면을 따라 연장되는 하나의 연결된 부재로 이루어질 수 있다. 또한, 화물이송선 지지부(60)는 화물이송선이 접촉한 후에 화물이송선을 파지하는 장치(도시되지 않음)를 더 구비할 수 있다. 이러한 파지 장치는 해당 화물이송선이 안정적으로 모바일 하버(1)와 접촉한 상태를 유지하도록 한다. 바람직하게는, 화물이송선 지지부(60)의 바깥쪽 단부에 보조 밸러스트(64)가 마련된다. 보조 밸러스트(64)는 화물이송선 또는 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하기 위한 부력을 제공한다.
컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)로 진입하는 동안 컨테이너선의 양 현측(舷側)과 접촉하여 진입 경로를 안내하기 위하여 측면 방현장치가 제공된다. 측면 방현장치는 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹할 때 발생할 수 있는 조정 오차를 극복할 수 있도록 한다. 또한, 측면 방현장치는 도킹한 후에 컨테이너선의 양 현측을 지지함으로써 컨테이너선의 롤링 운동을 억제시킨다. 본 실시예에서, 측면 방현장치는 데크부(32,34)의 안쪽 측면에 길이 방향을 따라 마련된 복수개의 사이드 펜더(70)(side fender)를 구비한다.
사이드 펜더(70) 중 적어도 일부는 컨테이너선의 현측과 접촉하는 단부에 충격을 흡수할 수 있는 재료로 이루어지고 회전이 가능한 완충 부재를 구비하는 것이 좋다. 컨테이너선이 도킹할 때, 사이드 펜더(70)의 완충 부재는 컨테이너선의 현측과 접촉한 상태로 회전하면서 컨테이너선을 안내한다. 이에 따라, 컨테이너선은 모바일 하버(1)와 부딪히지 않고 도킹할 수 있다. 사이드 펜더(70)는 컨테이너선이 지정된 위치에 도달하는 경우 이를 정지시키기 용이하도록 브레이크 장치를 구비할 수 있다. 브레이크 장치는 예를 들어 완충 부재의 회전을 정지시키거나 컨테이너선의 진행 방향과 반대 방향으로 힘을 가하도록 사이드 펜더(70)를 조정할 수 있다. 또한, 각 사이드 펜더(70)는 충격을 완화시키기 위한 다른 수단으로 기구적인 구조를 갖는 충격 감쇠부를 구비할 수 있다. 즉, 데크부(32,34)와 연결되는 부위에 스프링과 댐퍼로 이루어진 충격 감쇠부를 구비함으로써, 컨테이너선으로부터 받는 진동을 부분적으로 흡수할 수 있다.
본 실시예에 따른 모바일 하버(1)는 프로펠러 등을 이용한 메인 추력제공장치를 구비할 수 있다. 따라서, 자체 추진력을 이용하여 필요한 위치로 이동할 수 있다. 앞에서 설명한 바와 같이, 모바일 하버(1)의 이동시에는 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 증가시켜 부유지지체(12,14)의 적어도 일부가 수면 위로 노출된 상태로 이동한다. 또한, 모바일 하버(1)는 횡방향 추력을 제공하기 위한 스러스터(16)(thruster)를 포함하는 것이 바람직하다. 스러스터(16)는 모바일 하버(1)가 회전하거나 횡방향으로 이동할 수 있도록 함으로써, 모바일 하버(1)를 컨테이너선이 도킹하기 쉬운 위치로 이동시킬 수 있다. 본 실시예에서, 모바일 하버(1)에 횡방향 추력을 제공하기 위한 스러스터(16)는 각 부유지지체(12,14)의 길이 방향 양단부에 마련된다.
이하에서는 도 4 내지 도 13을 참조하여, 본 발명의 전술한 실시예에 따른 모바일 하버(1)를 이용하여 해상에서 컨테이너선을 모바일 하버에 도킹하고 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 및 하역하는 방법에 대하여 설명한다.
도 4 내지 도 8은 컨테이너선이 모바일 하버에 도킹하고 이탈하는 과정을 위에서 바라본 모습이며, 도 9 내지 도 13은 컨테이너선의 도킹과 화물이송선의 선적과정을 모바일 하버의 정면에서 바라본 모습이다.
모바일 하버(1)는 육지로부터 떨어진 해상에 위치한다. 특히, 부두로부터 멀리 떨어지지 않으면서 컨테이너선(2)이 이동하는 해로 근처에 배치되는 것이 좋다. 이로써, 컨테이너선(2)은 부두로 진입하는 데 소요되는 시간을 줄일 수 있다.
도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 컨테이너선(2)이 모바일 하버(1)에 가까운 위치에 도착하면, 모바일 하버(1)는 스러스터(16)를 이용하여 회전 및 횡방향 이동을 수행함으로써 컨테이너선(2)이 도킹하기 용이한 위치로 이동한다. 종래에는 컨테이너선(2)이 부두에 접안하기 위해 터그선 등의 도움을 받아 회전하는 등 상당한 시간이 소요되었다. 그러나, 본 발명에 따른 모바일 하버(1)는 컨테이너선(2)의 배치에 맞추어 회전 및 이동이 가능하기 때문에 컨테이너선(2)이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹하는 시간이 절감된다.
컨테이너선이 도킹되지 않은 모바일 하버(1)는 도 9에 도시된 바와 같이 부유지지체(12,14)의 일부가 해수면 위로 노출된 상태에서 이동한다. 도킹할 위치로 이동이 완료되면, 부유지지체(12,14)와 연결된 컨테이너선 지지부(20)가 도킹할 컨테이너선(2)의 선저부보다 아래에 위치하도록 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 조절하여 도 10에 도시된 바와 같이 모바일 하버(1)를 하강시킨다. 모바일 하버(1)가 충분히 하강한 후에, 컨테이너선(2)은 사이드 펜더(70)를 구비하는 측면 방현장치의 안내를 받아 모바일 하버(1)로 도킹한다. 컨테이너선(2)이 정해진 위치까지 진입하면 사이드 펜더(70)의 브레이크 장치는 컨테이너선(2)의 속도를 감속시켜 정지시키고 이로써 도킹이 완료된다. 도 5 및 도 11은 컨테이너선(2)이 모바일 하버(1)에 도킹한 상태의 평면도와 정면도를 각각 보여준다.
컨테이너선(2)이 도킹한 후에, 상기 컨테이너선 지지부(20)가 컨테이너선(2)의 선저부와 접촉하여 컨테이너선(2)의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하도록 상기 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 조절하여 모바일 하버(1)를 상승시킨다. 컨테이너선(2)의 하중의 일부가 컨테이너선 지지부(20)에 지지되면 컨테이너선(2)과 모바일 하버(1)는 함께 상하 운동을 하게 된다.
도 6에 도시된 대로, 컨테이너선(2)의 도킹한 상태에서 부두로부터 화물이송선(6)이 모바일 하버(1)로 접근한다. 도 12에 도시된 바와 같이 화물이송선(6)은 모바일 하버(1)의 화물이송선 지지부(60)의 위쪽에 위치한다. 그 후, 자체 부력을 조절하여 화물이송선 지지부(60)와 접촉한다. 화물이송선(6)은 화물이송선 지지부(60)에 의해 자신의 하중이 일부 지지되도록 부력을 조절한다. 이로써, 화물이송선(6)은 모바일 하버(1)와 함께 상하 운동을 하게 된다.
위 두 단계를 거치면 모바일 하버(1), 컨테이너선(2) 및 화물이송선(6)은 모두 함께 상하 운동을 하게 된다. 따라서, 크레인 상부 모듈(54)로부터의 컨테이너선(2)과 화물이송선(6)까지의 간격이 일정하게 유지되기 때문에 안정적으로 선적 및 하역 작업을 수행할 수 있다. 또한, 컨테이너선(2)은 도킹한 상태에서 모바일 하버(1)의 측면 충격완화장치에 의해 고정되기 때문에, 도 7에 도시된 바와 같은 롤링 운동이 억제된다.
한편, 도 13에 도시된 바와 같이 어느 한쪽의 화물이송선 지지부(60)에 의해 지지되는 화물이송선(6)에 대해 화물이 선적 또는 하역되거나, 양쪽의 화물이송선 지지부(60)에 의해 지지되는 화물이송선(6)의 수가 다르면, 모바일 하버(1)에 인가되는 좌우 하중이 균형을 이루지 못하게 되고 한쪽으로 기울어질 수 있다. 이 경우, 화물이송선 지지부(60)와 연결된 부유지지체(12,14)의 부력을 조절하거나 화물이송선 지지부(60)의 바깥쪽 단부에 연결된 보조 밸러스트(64)를 이용하여 모바일 하버(1)가 좌우로 수평을 유지하도록 한다.
또한, 컨테이너선(2)은 일반적으로 엔진이 위치하는 쪽이 더 무겁기 때문에 길이 방향을 따라 엔진 쪽으로 기울어지는 경향이 있다. 따라서, 도킹한 상태에서 컨테이너선(2)이 엔진쪽으로 기울어지는 경우, 부유지지체(12,14)의 길이 방향 부력을 조절함으로써 모바일 하버(1)도 같은 방향으로 기울어지도록 한다. 이로써, 컨테이너선 지지부(20)에 과도한 하중이 걸리지 않도록 조절할 수 있다.
컨테이너선(2)이 모바일 하버(1)에 대해 상대적으로 롤링 운동하는 것은 측면 충격완화장치에 의해 억제되지만, 모바일 하버(1)와 컨테이너선(2)이 함께 롤링 운동을 하는 경우 선적 또는 하역 작업에 어려움이 따를 수 있다. 특히, 모바일 하버(1)의 측면으로 강한 파도가 진행하는 경우, 모바일 하버(1)와 컨테이너선(2)은 심하게 롤링 운동을 할 수 있다. 이러한 현상을 방지하기 위하여 모바일 하버(1)는 컨테이너선(2)이 도킹한 상태에서 파도의 진행 방향과 직교하는 방향으로 스러스터(16)를 이용하여 회전하는 것이 좋다.
화물이송선(6)은 선적 또는 하역 작업이 완료되면 자체적으로 부력을 조절하여 상승하고 화물이송선 지지부(60)로부터 떨어지게 된다. 이후 화물이송선(6)은 부두 또는 다른 필요한 위치로 이동하여 선적 또는 하역 작업을 할 수 있다. 컨테이너선(2)에 대한 선적 또는 하역 작업이 모두 완료될 때까지 다수의 화물이송선(6)이 모바일 하버(1)로 접근 또는 이탈한다.
선적 또는 하역 작업을 완료한 후에 도 8에 도시한 바와 같이 컨테이너선(2)은 모바일 하버(1)를 이탈하며, 모바일 하버(1)는 컨테이너선(2)의 다음 이동 경로에 맞추어 이동한다. 이 때에도 모바일 하버(1)는 스러스터(16)를 이용하여 회전 및 횡방향 이동을 할 수 있다. 종래에는 컨테이너선(2)이 부두로부터 이탈한 후 다시 해로로 진입하는데 상당한 시간이 소요되었으나, 본 발명에 따른 모바일 하버(1)를 이용하는 경우, 컨테이너선(2)은 신속하게 다음 이동 경로로 진입할 수 있다.

Claims (20)

  1. 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 또는 하역하기 위한 모바일 하버로서,
    개별적으로 부력을 조절할 수 있으며, 부력을 조절함에 따라 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기거나 적어도 일부가 수면 위로 노출될 수 있고, 서로 일정한 간격을 두고 평행하게 연장되는 2개의 부유지지체;
    상기 2개의 부유지지체를 연결하며, 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절함에 따라 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하여 상기 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지함으로써 상기 컨테이너선의 상대적인 상하 운동이 발생되지 않도록 하기 위한 컨테이너선 지지부;
    상기 각 부유지지체의 위쪽에서 부유지지체의 길이 방향을 따라 연장되며, 상면에 승무원의 작업을 위한 공간을 제공하는 2개의 데크부;
    각 부유지지체에 대하여 각 데크부를 지지하며, 상기 부유지지체 전체가 수면 아래로 잠기는 경우 수선면적(水線面積)을 줄여 롤링 운동을 감소시키기 위한 복수개의 필라;
    상기 2개의 데크부의 위쪽에 마련되며, 상기 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선의 양현에서 화물을 이송하기 위한 복수개의 크레인 상부 모듈을 구비하는 양현 하역용 크레인; 및
    상기 각 부유지지체의 바깥쪽 측면에 마련되며, 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지함으로써 상기 화물이송선의 상대적인 상하 운동이 발생되지 않도록 하기 위한 화물이송선 지지부
    를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    컨테이너선의 진입시 컨테이너선의 양 현측과 접촉하여 진입 경로를 안내하며, 진입한 상태인 컨테이너선의 양 현측(舷側)을 지지함으로써 컨테이너선의 롤링 운동을 억제시키기 위한 사이드 펜더를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  3. 청구항 2에 있어서,
    상기 사이드 펜더는 컨테이너선의 진입시 컨테이너선의 진입 속도를 감속시키기 위한 브레이크 장치를 구비하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  4. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 각 부유지지체의 길이 방향 양단부에 마련되어 상기 부유지지체에 횡방향 추력을 제공하기 위한 스러스터(thruster)를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  5. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 각 부유지지체는 길이 방향을 따라 적용되는 부력을 다르게 조절할 수 있는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  6. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 크레인은 모바일 하버의 길이 방향을 따라 상기 크레인 상부 모듈을 안내하기 위한 복수개의 안내부를 구비하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  7. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 크레인 상부 모듈은 각 안내부마다 2개가 마련되는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  8. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 화물이송선 지지부의 바깥쪽 단부에 마련되며, 화물이송선 또는 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하기 위한 부력을 제공하는 보조 밸러스트를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  9. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 화물이송선은 부력 조절 기능을 갖는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버.
  10. 청구항 1에 기재된 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하여 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 및 하역하는 방법으로서,
    (a) 상기 부유지지체와 연결된 상기 컨테이너선 지지부가 도킹할 컨테이너선의 선저부보다 아래에 위치하도록 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 상기 부유지지체를 하강시키는 단계;
    (b) 상기 컨테이너선이 도킹한 후에, 상기 컨테이너선 지지부가 컨테이너선의 선저부와 접촉하여 컨테이너선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하도록 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 상기 부유지지체를 상승시키는 단계; 및
    (c) 화물이송선이 상기 화물이송선 지지부에 의해 적어도 일부의 하중이 지지되는 상태에서 상기 도킹 상태의 컨테이너선과 상기 화물이송선 사이에 화물의 선적 또는 하역 작업을 수행하는 단계
    를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  11. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (a)에서 모바일 하버는 상기 부유지지체가 수면 아래로 모두 잠기도록 하강하여 컨테이너선의 도킹에 의해 발생하는 해수의 유동을 모바일 하버의 외부로 방출시키며, 상기 부유 지지체 상승 단계및 선적 또는 하역 작업 수행 단계에서 상기 부유지지체는 수면 아래에 잠긴 상태로 유지되어 모바일 하버의 수선 면적이 작아져 모바일 하버의 롤링 운동이 감소되는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  12. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (b)와 단계 (c) 사이에,
    상기 화물이송선이 상기 화물이송선 지지부 상으로 이동한 후 부력을 감소시켜 화물이송선의 선저부가 상기 화물이송선 지지부와 접촉하도록 함으로써, 상기 화물이송선 지지부가 상기 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 지지하도록 하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  13. 청구항 12에 있어서,
    상기 화물이송선이 상기 화물이송선 지지부와 접촉한 후에 상기 화물이송선이 상기 화물이송선 지지부로부터 이탈하지 않도록 파지하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  14. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (a) 이전에,
    상기 컨테이너선이 용이하게 도킹할 수 있도록 상기 컨테이너선의 이동 경로에 맞추어 상기 모바일 하버를 이동시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  15. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (c) 이후에,
    (d) 선적 또는 하역 작업을 완료한 후에, 상기 컨테이너선의 이동 경로에 맞추어 상기 모바일 하버를 이동시키는 단계; 및
    (e) 상기 컨테이너선이 상기 모바일 하버로부터 이탈할 수 있도록, 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 상기 모바일 하버를 하강시킴으로써 상기 컨테이너선 지지부가 컨테이너선의 선저부로부터 떨어지도록 하는 단계를 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  16. 청구항 14 또는 15에 있어서,
    상기 모바일 하버의 이동에는 상기 모바일 하버의 횡방향 이동 및 회전 이동이 포함되는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  17. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (c)는
    어느 한쪽의 화물이송선 지지부에 의해 지지되는 화물이송선에 대해 화물이 선적 또는 하역됨에 따라 상기 모바일 하버에 인가되는 하중이 변동하면, 다른 쪽 화물이송선 지지부와 연결된 상기 부유지지체의 부력을 조절하여 모바일 하버가 수평을 유지하도록 하는 단계를 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하는 화물 운송 방법.
  18. 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 단계 (b)와 단계 (c) 사이에,
    파도에 의한 상기 모바일 하버 및 상기 컨테이너선의 롤링 운동을 감소시키기 위하여, 상기 모바일 하버의 길이 방향이 파도의 진행 방향과 직교하는 방향으로 배치되도록 상기 모바일 하버를 회전시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하는 화물 운송 방법.
  19. 청구항 1에 기재된 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하여 해상에서 컨테이너선과 화물이송선 사이에 화물을 선적 및 하역하는 방법으로서,
    (a) 상기 화물이송선 지지부가 수면 아래쪽에 위치한 상태에서 화물이송선을 상기 화물이송선 지지부의 위쪽으로 이동시키는 단계;
    (b) 상기 화물이송선의 하중의 적어도 일부를 상기 화물이송선 지지부가 지지하도록 하기 위하여, 상기 화물이송선의 부력을 조절하여 상기 화물이송선의 선저부와 상기 화물이송선 지지부를 접촉시키는 단계;
    (c) 상기 모바일 하버에 도킹한 상태인 컨테이너선과 상기 화물이송선 지지부에 의해 지지되는 상기 화물이송선 사이에서 화물의 선적 또는 하역 작업을 수행하는 단계
    를 포함하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용한 화물 운송 방법.
  20. 청구항 19에 있어서, 상기 단계 (c) 이후에,
    선적 또는 하역 작업이 완료된 후에, 상기 화물이송선의 부력을 조절하여 상기 화물이송선의 선저부가 상기 화물이송선 지지부로부터 떨어지도록 하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 반잠수식 모바일 하버를 이용하는 화물 운송 방법.
