Abstract

La présente invention concerne un curseur d'agrandissement multidirectionnel et un procédé pour sa formation. Le curseur d'agrandissement multidirectionnel est doté d'une pluralité de touches de sélection affichées sur un écran d'affichage et susceptibles d'être déplacées en fonction des commandes d'entrée d'un utilisateur, les touches de sélection sont affichées sur l'écran d'affichage de façon à correspondre à un ou plusieurs objets sélectionnables sur l'écran d'affichage et, lorsque l'une des touches de sélection correspondant à un objet visé parmi le ou les objets en question est sélectionné par l'intermédiaire des commandes d'entrée d'un utilisateur, l'objet visé est exécuté. Le procédé de formation du curseur d'agrandissement multidirectionnel comporte les étapes consistant à : générer un curseur d'agrandissement divisé en une pluralité de touches de sélection affichées sur un écran d'affichage et déplacées en fonction des commandes d'entrée d'un utilisateur ; faire correspondre les touches de sélection à un ou plusieurs objets sélectionnables sur l'écran d'affichage, à afficher sur l'écran d'affichage ; et sélectionner une touche de sélection correspondant à un objet visé parmi le ou les objets en question afin d'exécuter l'objet. Selon la présente invention, un certain objet visé parmi une pluralité d'objets peut être sélectionné avec rapidité et précision simplement en positionnant le curseur près de l'objet en question, ce qui a pour effet de rendre possible des sélections précises sans avoir à positionner précisément le curseur sur un objet souhaité au cours d'une navigation sur le Web, de jeux ou de la réalisation de tâches bureautiques.
