Definitions

  • the present invention relates, in general, to ornaments which are attached to clothes, such as T-shirts, trousers, caps, etc., and, more particularly, to an ornament for clothes which are easily adhered to a cloth in a manner such as that of heating and melting an adhesive that is charged into a main body of the ornament, and which can be used for a long period of time, because a removal prevention member provided on the main body prevents the adhesive from being separated from the main body after the ornament has been adhered to the cloth.
  • ornaments are frequently attached to clothes, such as T-shirts, trousers, caps, etc., to enhance aesthetic beauty and thus increase consumer demand.
  • such an ornament is provided with a fastening pointed pin.
  • the fastening pin pierces the cloth and is bent on the opposite side of the cloth, thus fastening the ornament to the cloth.
  • the conventional ornament which is attached to a cloth using the fastening pointed pin damages the cloth, because the fastening pin pierces the cloth. Furthermore, a worker must manually stick the fastening pin into the cloth and bend them one by one, resulting in increased working time and labor costs. In addition, if the fastening pin comes into contact with the skin of a person who is wearing the cloth, it may injure the person or cause an allergy.
  • the adhesive may undesirably separate from the ornament, with the result that the ornament is removed from the cloth (or adhesive). In particular, frequent washing quickens separation of the ornament from the cloth.
  • a means for preventing the adhesive from separating from the ornament is required to use the ornament for a long period of time and prevent the ornament from being removed from the cloth even should the cloth be frequently washed.
  • the conventional ornament using adhesive has no the means for preventing the adhesive from becoming separated from the ornament.
  • the fastening legs increase the area of direct contact between the ornament and the fabric (cloth).
  • the fastening legs prevent the adhesive liquefied by heating from leaking out from the main body of the ornament.
  • the fastening legs cannot prevent the adhesive from being separated from the inner surface of the main body of the ornament.
  • the fastening legs increase the area with which the adhesive is in contact with the main body or the ornament, the fastening legs may restrain the adhesive from detaching itself from the main body of the ornament, but this performance of the fastening legs is not strong.
  • the conventional technique of No. 0701401 has a structure causing the production efficiency to be low and the production costs to be high.
  • the fastening legs protrude inwards from the inner surface of the main body having a three-dimensional convex shape, the conventional ornament cannot be manufactured by pressing a metal plate, but the fastening legs must be formed by molding or be coupled to the inner surface of the main body by welding. Therefore, the production efficiency is low, so that the production costs are increased.
  • an object of the present invention is to provide an ornament for clothes which can be easily attached to cloth using an adhesive without damaging the cloth, and in which a removal prevention member prevents the adhesive from becoming separated from the main body of the ornament, thus preventing the ornament from detaching from the cloth so long as the adhesive is not removed from the cloth, and which is configured such that production efficiency is enhanced.
  • the present invention provides an ornament for a cloth, including: a main body having a containing space therein; an adhesive charged into the containing space of the main body; and a removal prevention member preventing the adhesive from being separated from a surface of the containing space of the main body.
  • the removal prevention member may be integrally connected to the main body and comprise a resistance part for resisting a force which causes the adhesive to be separated from the surface of the containing space of the main body.
  • the removal prevention member may protrude from a rim of the main body and be bent such that an end thereof is disposed in the containing space of the main body.
  • the adhesive may comprise a solid adhesive in a solid state at room temperature.
  • the solid adhesive is liquefied by heating.
  • the ornament according to the present invention can be easily attached to cloth without damaging the cloth. Furthermore, the ornament is prevented from coming into contact with the skin of a user, thus preventing the skin of the user from being injured and avoiding induction of allergy.
  • the present invention is provided with a removal prevention member to prevent an adhesive from separating from a main body of the ornament, thus preventing the ornament from being removed from the cloth.
  • the present invention is configured such that the presence of the removal prevention member neither reduces the production efficiency of the ornament nor increases the production cost thereof.

  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the ornament which is not in a state of having been filled with an adhesive 30 according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is of views showing various styles of a removal prevention member 20 of the ornament according to the present invention.
  • the ornament of the present invention includes a main body 10, an adhesive 30 and a removable prevention part 20.
  • the main body 10 has a convex three-dimensional shape which protrudes upwards such that a containing space 11 is defined in the main body 10.
  • the containing space 11 is filled with the adhesive 30.
  • the main body 10 can have a variety of three-dimensional shapes.
  • the main body 10 may have a hexagonal pyramid shape or, alternatively, it may have a star shape, a triangular shape, a square shape, a dome shape, etc.
  • the main body 10 is typically made of metal. More preferably, the main body 10 is made of metal which can resist corrosion and provide a natural feeling. Particularly, brass resists corrosion and is natural because contact with the air tinges it blue.
  • the adhesive 30 is charged into the containing space 11 of the main body 10 and adhered to the inner surface of the containing space 11 of the main body 10. The portion of the adhesive 30 that is exposed outside the containing space 11 is adhered to the cloth.
  • a well known solid adhesive which is in a solid state at room temperature and is liquefied by heating is used as the adhesive 30.
  • the adhesive 30 in a solid state may be charged into the containing space 11 of the main body 10.
  • the adhesive 30 is heated and liquefied.
  • the ornament is attached to the cloth when the adhesive 30 is in the liquefied state.
  • the main body 10 and the adhesive 30 may be separately sold and stored.
  • the adhesive 30 may be liquefied and charged into the containing space 11 of the main body 10 and then the ornament may be attached to the cloth.
  • the removal prevention member 20 is provided on the containing space 11 of the main body 10.
  • the removal prevention member 20 functions to prevent the charged adhesive 30 from being removed from the containing space 11 of the main body 10.
  • the solid adhesive 30 is characterized in that it is easily adhered to the surface of a metal substance at first but with the lapse of time, adhesive force thereof is gradually weakened. Particularly, like when washing the cloth, if external force is applied to the ornament from all directions and water permeates into the junction between the adhesive 30 and the metal substance, the adhesive force thereof is markedly weakened, with the result that the adhesive 30 is easily separated from the metal substance.
  • the present invention is provided with the removal prevention member 20. That is, the removal prevention member 20 functions to prevent the adhesive 30 charged into the containing space 11 from being detached from the inner surface of the metal main body 10. In addition, even if the adhesive 30 is detached from the inner surface of the metal main body 10, the adhesive 30 can be prevented from being removed from the main body 10 by virtue of the removal prevention member 20.
  • the removable prevention part 20 is integrated with the main body 10.
  • the removable prevention part 20 may have the shape of FIG. 4B or 4C which is disposed inside the containing space 11 of the main body 10 and is reduced in width from the bottom to the top.
  • the removable prevention part 20 may have the shape of FIG. 4A which covers the open end of the containing space 11 of the main body 10.
  • the removable prevention part 20 be embedded in the adhesive 30 to form a structure which works against the adhesive 30 becoming removed.
  • the resistance structure of the removable prevention part 20 resists the force with which the adhesive 30 is removed from the containing space 11, thus preventing the main body 10 from becoming detached from the cloth.
  • the resistance to the force with which the adhesive 30 is removed from the containing space 11 primarily means that the adhesive 30 is prevented from being removed from the containing space 11, and it secondarily means that the adhesive 30 is prevented from being detached from the inner surface of the main body 10 defining the containing space 11 before the adhesive 30 is removed from the containing space 11.
  • the resistance structure of the removal prevention member 20 means a structure such that it protrudes in the direction parallel to the open end of the containing space 11.
  • Primary prevention of the removal of the adhesive 30 from the containing space 11 means that the removable prevention part 20 holds the adhesive 30 to prevent the adhesive 30 from being removed through the open end of the containing space 11 even if the adhesive 30 becomes detached from the inner surface of the containing space 11 of the main body 10.
  • the removal prevention member 20 which protrudes from the inner surface of the containing space 11 of the main body 10 has a portion that extends a predetermined length in a direction parallel to the open end of the containing space 11.
  • the removal prevention member 20 may be configured such that it is bent inwards from the rim of the main body 10.
  • the removal prevention member 20 (20a) may be configured such that it protrudes downwards from the inner surface of the main body 10 and an end thereof extends in the horizontal direction.
  • the removal prevention member 20 (20b) may be configured such that it protrudes downwards from the inner surface of the main body 10 and is increased in width from the top to the bottom.
  • "Secondary prevention of the removal" of the adhesive 30 from the inner surface of the main body 10 defining the containing space 11 means that the adhesive 30 is reliably integrated with the main body 10 so that even if an external force should be applied to the main body 10, the adhesive 30 along with the main body 10 reacts to the external force so as to minimize the force applied to the junction between the adhesive 30 and the inner surface of the main body 10.
  • secondary removal prevention also means that even if a partial gap were to occur between the adhesive 30 and the inner surface of the main body 10, the gap is prevented from becoming larger.
  • the purpose of integrating the adhesive 30 with the main body 10 may be easily achieved by complicating the structure of the removal prevention member 20 which protrudes from the inner surface of the main body 10 in the vertical and horizontal directions.
  • this reduces the efficiency of producing the ornament and thus increases the production cost. Therefore, it is not preferable.
  • the removal prevention member 20 must be configured such that even if a gap occurs between the main body 10 and the adhesive 30, the gap is prevented from becoming larger. This can be achieved by the removable prevention part 20 which is bent inwards from the rim of the main body 10 and extends upwards from the opening of the containing space 11 at a predetermined angle, as shown in FIG. 4A. In this case, even if a gap occurs between the removable prevention part 20 and the adhesive 30 that covers the outer surface of the removal prevention member 20, the gap may extend to the end of the removal prevention member 20 but it does not easily extend to the inner surface of the main body 10.
  • the removal prevention member 20 be formed on the entire length of the rim of the main body 10 to reliably prevent a gap from extending to the inner surface of the main body 10.
  • the material costs and labor costs of forming the removal prevention member 20 become greater.
  • the range within which the removal prevention member 20 is formed on the rim of the main body 10 must be appropriately determined.
  • each ornament is relatively small and light, but if several ornaments are attached to the cloth, a user may feel that the cloth is heavy. Therefore, the ornament must be light.
  • the production cost of the ornament must be low. Therefore, it is most preferable that the ornament be mass-produced by pressing. It is not preferable in terms of the price competitiveness for the removal prevention member 20 to be formed on the main body 10 by injection molding or welding.
  • the removal prevention member 20 is manufactured by pressing in a shape in which it is bent outwards and, only thereafter is it bent inwards.
  • a bending groove 21 may be formed in an inner surface, an outer surface or both surfaces (in the drawings, on the outer surface) of a bending portion of the removal prevention member 20 in the pressing process, thus facilitating bending thereof.
  • facilitating bending of the removal prevention member 20 may be effectuated by a structure such that the thickness of the bending portion of the removal prevention member 20 is reduced.
  • notches are formed on opposite sides of the removal prevention member 20 such that the removal prevention member 20 is prevented from protruding outside the rim of the main body 10 when the removal prevention member 20 is bent inside of the main body 10.
  • This structure can prevent the removal prevention member 20 from interrupting adhesion between all of the ornament, the adhesive and the cloth.
  • the structure in which the removal prevention member 20 that is bent inwards the main body is prevented from protruding outside the rim of the main body 10 may be realized only by either the bending groove 21 or the notches.
  • the present invention provides an ornament for clothes which can be easily attached to a cloth without damaging the cloth. Moreover, the ornament of the present invention does not come into contact with the skin of a user, thus preventing the skin of the user from getting injured and avoiding induction of allergy.
  • the present invention is provided with a removal prevention member to prevent an adhesive from becoming separated from a main body of the ornament, thus preventing the ornament from separating from the cloth.
  • the present invention is configured such that the presence of the removal prevention member neither reduces the production efficiency of the ornament nor increases the production cost thereof.
