Abstract

본 발명은 송신 시스템, 수신 시스템, 및 방송 신호 처리 방법을 개시한다. 상기 송신 시스템은 RS 프레임 복호기, 블록 처리기, 그룹 포맷터, 및 트렐리스 부호화부를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 RS 프레임 복호기는 모바일 서비스 데이터를 포함하는 RS 프레임 페이로드에 대해 에러 정정 부호화를 수행하여 RS 프레임을 형성하고, 상기 RS 프레임을 복수개의 포션으로 구분하여 출력한다. 상기 블록 처리기는 상기 각 포션의 모바일 서비스 데이터의 각 비트에 대해 1/2 부호화와 1/4 부호화 중 하나를 수행한다. 상기 그룹 포맷터는 상기 1/4 부호화된 모바일 서비스 데이터의 심볼과 1/2 부호화된 모바일 서비스 데이터의 심볼을 포함하는 포션을 데이터 그룹의 해당 영역에 매핑한다. 상기 트렐리스 부호화부는 상기 데이터 그룹의 1/4 부호화된 모바일 데이터의 심볼과 1/2 부호화된 모바일 서비스 데이터의 심볼에 대해 트렐리스 부호화를 수행한다
