이를 위하여, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 웹 서버는 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하는 웹 서버로서, 메인 웹 사이트를 구성하는 복수의 웹 페이지를 구성하여 운영하는 웹 서비스 제공 수단; 메인 웹 사이트의 검색창을 통해 입력되는 검색어에 대응되는 정보 데이터를 추출하여 제공하는 검색 기능 처리 수단; 추출된 다수의 정보 데이터 중 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 정보 데이터가 유료 정보인지 무료 정보인지 여부를 확인하는 유료/무료 정보 확인 수단; 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 수단; 및 유료 정보의 구매 비용에 대한 결제가 완료되면, 유료 정보를 사용자에게 제공하는 정보 제공 수단을 포함한다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 시스템은 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 결제를 처리하는 시스템으로서, 유료 정보를 제공하는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체; 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하며, 연결되어 있는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 제공되는 유료 정보를 검색 결과로 제공하고, 사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 산출 및 결제 정보 처리를 수행하는 포털 서비스 시스템; 및 포털 서비스 시스템에 연결되어, 유료 정보에 대한 비용 결제를 처리하는 결제 시스템을 포함한다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 방법은 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 결제를 처리하는 방법으로서, (a) 사용자로부터의 정보 검색 요청이 입력되면, 연결되어 있는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 입력된 검색어에 대응되는 정보 데이터를 추출하여 제공하는 단계; (b) 사용자로부터의 유료 정보 제공 요청이 수신되면, 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 단계; 및 (c) 메인 웹 페이지를 통해 유료 정보의 구매 비용에 대한 결제가 완료되면, 구매 완료된 유료 정보를 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 호출하여 제공하는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 메인 웹 사이트의 계약 로그인 절차를 이용하여 유료 정보를 확보하고, 유료 정보 중 사용자가 필요한 분량만큼만 결제를 하여 사용할 수 있으므로, 사용자가 부담없는 비용으로 유료 정보를 이용할 수 있다. 또한, 이로 인하여 유료 정보 사용자 수가 증가될 수 있으며, 사용자의 증가로 인하여 유료 정보 제공으로 인한 수익이 증가되는 부수적인 효과가 있다.
이와 같은 유료 정보의 이용률과 수익 증가로 인하여 보다 질 높은 유료 정보가 생성될 수 있으며, 사용자도 유료 정보를 쉽게 획득할 수 있으므로, 정보의 공유와 정보 창출자에 대한 정보 창출 욕구가 증대되는 파급효과를 기대할 수 있다.
또한 본 발명에 따르면, 사용자가 메인 웹 사이트를 이용하여 유료 정보를 확인할 수 있으므로, 사용자가 유료 정보 확인만을 위하여 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트에 별도로 회원 가입을 하거나 로그인하여야 하는 불편함을 해소하고, 정보의 검색 시간을 현저히 단축시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.

아래에서는 첨부한 도면을 참고로 하여 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있도록 상세히 설명한다. 그러나 본 발명은 여러 가지 상이한 형태로 구현될 수 있으며 여기에서 설명하는 실시예에 한정되지 않는다. 그리고 도면에서 본 발명을 명확하게 설명하기 위해서 설명과 관계없는 부분은 생략하였으며, 명세서 전체를 통하여 유사한 부분에 대해서는 유사한 도면 부호를 붙였다.
명세서 전체에서, 어떤 부분이 어떤 구성요소를 "포함"한다고 할 때, 이는 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한 다른 구성요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성요소를 더 포함할 수 있는 것을 의미한다. 또한, 명세서에 기재된 "…부", "…기", "모듈" 등의 용어는 적어도 하나의 기능이나 동작을 처리하는 단위를 의미하며, 이는 하드웨어나 소프트웨어 또는 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 결합으로 구현될 수 있다.
또한, 명세서 전체를 통하여 언급되는 '정보'에는 게시글이나, 문서, 음악, 동영상, 사진 등의 각종 컨텐츠를 포함한다.
인터넷에 연결된 사용자 단말기를 통해서는 다양한 웹 사이트에 방문하여 해당 웹 사이트에서 제공하는 많은 정보를 열람할 수 있다. 그런데 해당 웹 사이트에서 제공하는 정보가 유료 정보라면, 사용자는 해당 웹 사이트에 비용을 결제하고 유료 정보를 열람하여야 한다.
이 때 유료 정보가 다수의 웹 페이지로 이루어진 보고서나 전자책과 같은 경우에는, 사용자가 단지 몇 페이지만 열람하기 위하여 상기 유료 정보 전체 비용을 지불하여야 한다. 따라서 많은 사용자들은 상기 유료 정보에 대한 열람을 포기하고 다른 무료 정보를 찾는데 힘을 쏟게 된다.
이와 같이 실제로 사용자에게 유용한 유료 정보를 찾았음에도 불구하고 상기 유료 정보에 대한 전체 비용을 지불하지 않으면 열람이 불가능하다는 문제점을 해소하기 위하여 본 발명이 개발되었다.
보다 상세히 설명하면, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 시스템에서 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하는 시스템(이하 '포털 서비스 시스템'이라 칭함)은 유료 정보를 제공하는 다수의 웹 사이트에서 유료 정보를 확보한다. 이 때 포털 서비스 시스템은 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트 운영 업체(이하 '유료 정보 제공 업체'라 칭함)에서 저장하고 있는 유료 정보를 사용할 수 있는 권한을 부여받는다.
이 과정에서 포털 서비스 시스템은 유료 정보 제공 업체와 사용 계약을 체결하여 유료 정보 사용 권한을 부여받을 수도 있고, 유료 정보의 구매에 대한 권한을 획득할 수도 있다. 그리고 이러한 과정에서 사용자가 직접 유료 정보 제공 업체에서 운영하는 웹 사이트에 로그인하지 않고, 메인 웹 사이트의 로그인 정보를 이용하여 유료 정보를 구매하게 된다. 이하에서는 이를 '계약 로그인'이라고 칭하여 설명하기로 한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 계약 로그인을 통해 유료 정보를 제공하는 시스템을 간략하게 나타낸 구성도이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 시스템은 사용자 단말기(110), 인터넷망(120), 포털 서비스 시스템(130), 결제 시스템(140) 및 유료 정보 제공 업체(150)를 포함한다.
사용자 단말기(110)는 인터넷망(120)을 통해 포털 서비스 시스템(130)에 연결되어, 자료 검색, 이메일 송수신, 홈페이지 관리, 동호회 서비스, 채팅, 게임 등 각종 인터넷 서비스를 제공받는 단말기이다. 이와 같은 사용자 단말기(110)는 인터넷망(120)에 직접 연결될 수도 있고, 이동통신망을 경유하여 인터넷망(120)에 연결될 수도 있다.
포털 서비스 시스템(130)은 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하여 각종 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 시스템을 운영하며, 이를 위하여 웹 서버(132)와 데이터베이스부(134)를 포함한다.
웹 서버(132)는 메인 웹 사이트를 운영 및 관리하며, 각종 부가 서비스 서버와의 연결을 통해 자료 검색, 이메일 송수신, 홈페이지 관리, 동호회 서비스, 채팅, 게임 등의 각종 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 서버이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따라 유료 정보를 제공하는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체(150 내지 160)와 연결되어, 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보를 제공하는 역할을 수행한다. 또한, 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보에 대한 결제 요청이 있는 경우, 연결되어 있는 결제 시스템(140)으로 입력된 결제 정보를 전달하고, 결제 완료가 확인되면 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보를 사용자 단말기(110)로 전송하는 역할을 수행한다.
이와 같은 기능을 수행하는 웹 서버(132)의 내부 구성 및 기능에 대해서는 도 2 및 도 3을 통하여 상세하게 설명하기로 한다.
데이터베이스부(134)는 각종 인터넷 서비스를 위한 데이터가 저장되는 공간이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 데이터베이스부(134)에는 가입자 정보, 메인 웹 사이트 운영을 위한 웹 사이트 데이터, 결제 정보 등이 저장된다.
결제 시스템(140)은 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보에 대한 결제를 처리하는 시스템으로서, 결제 서버(142)와 부가 가치 통신망(VAN: Value Added Network, 이하 'VAN'이라 칭함) 서버(144)를 포함한다.
결제 서버(142)는 웹 서버(132)로부터 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보 구매를 위한 비용 산출 결과를 수신한 뒤, 사용자가 유료 정보의 구매 비용에 대한 결제 수단 및 결제 정보를 입력받아 VAN 서버(144)로 전달하고, VAN 서버(144)로부터 인증 결과 및 결제 승인 결과가 수신되면, 결제 승인 결과를 웹 서버(132)로 전달해주는 역할을 수행한다. 여기서, 본 발명의 실시예에 따라, 유료 정보 구매 비용의 결제 수단으로서, 적립금, 신용카드, 현금 이체, 포인트 등이 사용될 수 있다.
VAN 서버(144)는 결제 서버(142)로부터 결제 정보가 전달되면, 수신된 결제 정보의 유효성 여부를 판정하고, 유료 정보 구매 비용의 결제를 수행한다. 이를 위하여 VAN 서버(144)는 신용카드 회사, 은행, 포인트 운영 업체 등과 전용 회선 등을 통해 직접 연결된다.
결제 정보의 유효성 판정 및 유료 정보 구매 비용의 결제가 완료되면, 결제 승인 결과를 결제 서버(142)로 전달한다. 이 때, 유효하지 않은 결제 정보가 입력되었거나, 유료 정보 구매 비용의 결제가 실패한 경우, VAN 서버(144)는 결제 실패 정보를 결제 서버(142)로 전달한다.
유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)는 포털 서비스 시스템(130)을 통하여 각종 유료 정보를 제공하는 업체이다. 이 때, 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)는 유료 정보뿐 아니라 무료 정보를 동시에 제공할 수도 있다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)는 문서 데이터, 음악, 동영상, 사진 등을 유료 정보로서 제공할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)는 정보 제공 서버(152, 162) 및 정보 데이터베이스(154, 164)를 포함한다.
정보 제공 서버(152, 162)는 웹 서버(132)로부터의 정보 검색 요청에 따라 정보 데이터베이스(154, 164)에 저장된 유료 정보 및 무료 정보를 웹 서버(132)로 전달한다. 이 때, 유료 정보에 대해서는 전체 데이터를 제공하지 않고, 목록, 개요, 미리보기 화면 등을 제공하는 것이 바람직하다.
이 때, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 시스템은 유료 정보를 제공함에 있어서, 전체를 제공하는 것뿐 아니라 전체 내용 중 일부만을 제공할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 정보 제공 서버(152, 162)는 웹 서버(132)로부터 유료 정보의 부분 제공이 요청되면, 전체 유료 정보 중 요청된 일부분만을 발췌하여 웹 서버(132)로 제공하는 기능을 수행한다.
정보 데이터베이스(154, 164)는 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)에서 제공하는 각종 데이터가 저장되는 공간이다. 정보 데이터베이스(154, 164)에는 유료 정보뿐 아니라 무료 정보도 저장된다.
도 2는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 포털 서비스 시스템의 내부 구성을 간략하게 나타낸 블록 구성도이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 웹 서버(132)는 데이터 송수신부(210), 메모리(220), 입력부(230), 디스플레이부(240), DB 관리부(250) 및 제어부(260)를 포함한다.
데이터 송수신부(210)는 외부 망이나 외부 장비와의 데이터 송수신을 위한 인터페이스를 제공하는 구성 요소이다. 즉, 웹 서버(132)의 데이터 송수신부(210)는 인터넷망(120)을 통하여 사용자 단말기(110)에 연결되며, 사용자 단말기(110)로부터 수신되는 검색 요청, 유료 정보 제공 요청, 결제 정보 등을 수신하고, 검색 결과, 유료 정보, 결제 요청 화면, 결제 결과 화면 등을 사용자 단말기(110)로 전송한다. 또한, 데이터 송수신부(210)는 결제 서버(142)와 연결되어, 사용자 단말기(110)로부터 입력된 결제 정보를 결제 서버(142)로 전송하고, 결제 서버(142)로부터 송출된 결제 승인 결과를 수신한다. 또한, 데이터 송수신부(210)는 다수의 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)와 연결되어, 사용자 단말기(110)로부터 입력된 검색 요청 및 유료 정보 제공 요청을 정보 제공 서버(152, 162)로 전송하고, 정보 제공 서버(152)로부터 송출된 유료 정보를 수신하는 역할을 수행한다.
메모리(220)는 웹 서버(132)의 기능 수행을 위한 각종 프로그램이 저장되는 공간이며, 웹 서버(132)를 이용한 각종 인터넷 서비스 제공에 따라 발생되는 각종 데이터를 임시로 저장하는 공간이다.
입력부(230)는 웹 서버(132)를 운영하는 관리자로부터 각종 제어 명령 및 데이터를 입력받는 부분으로서, 키보드, 마우스 등이 사용된다. 관리자는 입력부(230)를 통해 웹 서버(132) 운영을 위한 각종 데이터, 가입자 정보 데이터 등의 입력, 수정, 삭제 작업을 수행한다.
디스플레이부(240)는 웹 서버(132)의 동작 상태를 표시하는 부분이다. 웹 서버(132)를 운영하는 관리자는 디스플레이부(240)를 통하여 웹 서버(132)의 이상 발생 여부, 저장되어 있는 데이터 내역, 데이터의 수정 내역 등을 확인할 수 있다.
DB 관리부(250)는 제어부(260)의 제어 명령에 따라 데이터베이스부(134)의 데이터 입출력을 제어하는 역할을 수행한다. 즉, DB 관리부(250)는 제어부(260)로부터 데이터 저장 요청이 입력되면, 저장 요청된 데이터를 확인하여, 데이터베이스부(134)를 구성하는 다수의 데이터베이스 중 해당되는 데이터 내역을 저장하는 데이터베이스로 전달하여 저장시키는 역할을 수행한다.
또한, 제어부(260)로부터 특정 데이터에 대한 호출 요청이 입력되면, 데이터베이스부(134)를 구성하는 다수의 데이터베이스 중 요청된 데이터를 저장하고 있는 데이터베이스로부터 요청된 데이터를 호출하여 제공하는 역할을 수행한다.
제어부(260)는 웹 서버(132)를 전반적으로 운영하는 기능을 수행한다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 데이터 송수신부(210)를 통해 검색 요청이 입력되면, 연결되어 있는 다수의 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)를 통하여 입력된 검색어에 대응되는 정보를 검색한 뒤, 데이터 송수신부(210)를 통해 사용자에게 제공하고, 데이터 송수신부(210)를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 제공 요청이 입력되면, 결제 요청 화면을 사용자에게 제공한다. 사용자가 결제 정보를 입력하면, 결제 서버(142)로 입력된 결제 정보를 전송하고, 결제 서버(142)로부터 결제가 승인되었음을 알리는 결제 승인 메시지가 수신되면, 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보를 유료 정보 제공 업체(150)로부터 호출하여 사용자에게 제공하는 역할을 수행한다.
이와 같은 제어부(260)의 내부 구성 및 기능에 대해서는 도 3을 통하여 상세하게 설명하기로 한다.
여기서, 본 발명의 실시예에 따라, 사용자가 유료 정보의 일부분에 대해서만 제공을 요청한 경우, 제어부(260)는 제공 요청된 유료 정보의 일부분에 대한 구매 비용을 산출한 후, 산출된 부분의 구매 비용에 대해서만 결제를 요청한다. 여기서, 유료 정보의 부분 구매에 대한 비용 산출 방식은 도 4 내지 도 9를 통하여 설명하기로 한다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 데이터베이스부(134)는 하나의 데이터베이스로 구현될 수도 있으며, 다수의 데이터베이스로 구현될 수도 있다. 도 2에 도시된 데이터베이스부(134)는 가입자 정보 데이터베이스(270), 웹 사이트 데이터베이스(280) 및 결제 정보 데이터베이스(290)를 포함한다.
가입자 정보 데이터베이스(270)는 웹 서버가 운영하는 메인 웹 사이트에 가입한 사용자의 정보를 저장하는 데이터베이스이다. 가입자 정보 데이터베이스(270)에는 사용자의 ID, 비밀번호, 주소, 전화번호를 비롯하여, 유료 정보의 구매에 사용되는 적립금이나 포인트 정보가 저장된다.
웹 사이트 데이터베이스(280)는 메인 웹 사이트의 운영을 위한 각종 데이터를 저장하는 데이터베이스이다. 웹 사이트 데이터베이스(280)에는 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 제공되는 글, 문서 데이터, 이미지, 동영상, 컨텐츠, 링크 정보 등의 각종 데이터가 저장된다.
결제 정보 데이터베이스(290)는 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 계약 로그인을 통해 구매된 유료 정보의 결제 정보가 저장된다. 포털 서비스 시스템(130)은 결제 정보 데이터베이스(290)에 저장된 결제 정보를 이용하여, 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로 제공할 비용을 산출한다. 여기서, 사용자가 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 구매한 유료 정보의 결제 비용이 모두 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로 제공될 수도 있으며, 구매한 유료 정보의 결제 비용의 일부만이 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로 제공될 수도 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 웹 서버 제어부의 내부 구성을 간략하게 나타낸 블록 구성도이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 제어부(260)는 웹 서비스 제공 모듈(310), 검색 기능 처리 모듈(320), 정보 제공 요청 수신 모듈(330), 유료/무료 정보 확인 모듈(340), 정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 모듈(350), 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 모듈(360), 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370) 및 정보 제공 모듈(380)을 포함한다.
웹 서비스 제공 모듈(310)은 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하는 기능을 수행한다. 즉, 웹 서비스 제공 모듈(310)은 웹 사이트 데이터베이스(280)에 저장되어 있는 글, 문서 데이터, 이미지, 동영상, 컨텐츠, 링크 정보 등의 각종 데이터를 이용하여 웹 페이지를 구성하고, 구성된 다수의 웹 페이지를 사용자 단말기(110)로 제공하는 기능을 수행한다.
검색 기능 처리 모듈(320)은 사용자로부터 메인 웹 페이지의 검색창을 통해 특정 검색어가 입력되면, 연결되어 있는 다수의 유료 정보 제공 업체 또는 내부의 데이터베이스로부터 해당 검색어에 대응되는 정보 데이터를 추출하고, 추출된 정보 데이터를 사용자 단말기(110)로 제공하는 역할을 수행한다. 이 때, 검색 기능 처리 모듈(320)이 추출된 정보 데이터를 사용자 단말기(110)로 제공함에 있어서, 추출된 정보 데이터를 중요도, 정확도, 신규 데이터 순서 등으로 배열하는 제공할 수도 있다.
정보 제공 요청 수신 모듈(330)은 사용자에게 제공된 다수의 정보 데이터 중에서 사용자가 선택한 정보 데이터를 확인하는 기능을 수행한다.
유료/무료 정보 확인 모듈(340)은 사용자가 선택한 정보 데이터가 유료 정보인지, 무료 정보인지 여부를 확인하는 기능을 수행한다. 유료/무료 정보 확인 모듈(340)은 사용자가 선택한 정보 데이터가 무료 데이터임이 확인되면, 정보 제공 모듈(380)을 이용하여 요청된 무료 정보를 제공한다. 그러나, 사용자가 선택한 정보 데이터가 유료 데이터임이 확인되면, 정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 모듈(350) 및 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 모듈(360) 및 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)을 구동시킨다.
정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 모듈(350)은 사용자가 선택한 유료 정보에 대한 개략적인 정보를 제공하거나, 미리 보기 화면을 제공하는 기능을 수행한다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따라, 사용자는 유료 정보의 구매 범위를 설정하고, 설정된 구매 범위에 대해서만 구매를 요청할 수도 있다. 이를 위하여 사용자는 유료 정보의 구매에 앞서 유료 정보의 제목, 전체 비용, 개략적인 설명, 목차 등의 정보를 확인하여야 한다. 또한, 사용자는 부분 구매하려는 유료 정보의 해당 부분이 어떤 내용을 포함하고 있는지를 확인할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위하여, 정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 모듈(350)은 유료 정보의 미리보기 화면을 제공해야 한다.
또한, 정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 모듈(350)은 유료 정보가 다수의 웹 페이지로 구성되어 있는 문서 데이터인 경우, 전체 페이지에서 특정 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 탐색창을 제공한다. 또한, 유료 정보가 음악이나 동영상인 경우, 특정 위치로 이동하여 재생할 수 있는 검색창을 제공한다.
유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 모듈(360)은 사용자가 구매 요청한 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 기능을 수행한다. 사용자가 전체 유료 정보에 대한 구매를 요청한 경우, 사전에 설정된 전체 유료 정보의 비용을 결제 요청 비용으로 산출한다. 그러나, 사용자가 일부분에 대한 구매를 요청한 경우, 사전에 설정된 전체 유료 정보 비용을 유료 정보의 전체 양으로 나누어 페이지당 가격, 또는 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격을 산출한 후, 산출된 페이지당 가격, 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격에 사용자의 구매 요청한 유료 정보의 양을 곱하여 총 결제 요청 비용을 산출한다.
결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)은 사용자 단말기로부터 입력되는 결제 정보를 처리하는 모듈이다. 즉, 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)은 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 모듈(360)로부터 결제 요청 비용이 산출되면, 사용자 단말기(110)로 결제 요청 비용에 대한 결제를 요청하는 화면을 제공하고, 사용자 단말기(110)로부터 결제 정보가 입력되면, 사용자 단말기(110)로부터 결제 수단 및 결제 정보를 수신하여 결제 시스템(140)으로 전달하는 역할을 처리한다. 또한, 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)은 결제 시스템(140)으로부터 결제 승인을 확인받은 경우, 정보 제공 모듈(380)로 요청받은 유료 정보의 제공을 요청하고, 결제 시스템(140)으로부터 결제 실패를 확인받은 경우, 사용자 단말기(110)로 결제가 실패되었음을 알리는 웹 페이지를 제공한다.
본 발명을 실제로 구현함에 있어서, 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)의 기능은 결제 서버(142)에 구현될 수도 있으면, 이에 따라 결제 정보 처리 모듈(370)은 생략될 수도 있다.
정보 제공 모듈(380)은 사용자가 요청한 정보를 호출하여 제공하는 역할을 수행한다. 즉, 정보 제공 모듈(380)은 사용자로부터 무료 정보에 대한 제공이 요청되면, 해당 정보를 연결된 다수의 정보 제공 서버(152, 162) 또는 데이터베이스부(134)로부터 호출하여 제공한다. 또한, 사용자로부터 유료 정보 제공이 요청됨에 따라, 해당 유료 정보에 대한 비용 결제가 완료되면, 정보 제공 서버(152, 162)로부터 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보를 호출하여 제공한다.
도 4는 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 계약 로그인을 통해 유료 정보를 제공하는 방법을 도시한 순서도이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 포털 서비스 시스템(130)은 계약 로그인을 통한 유료 정보 제공 서비스를 위하여, 다수의 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)와의 사이에 계약 로그인 시스템을 구축한다(S10).
계약 로그인 시스템이 구축된 상태에서, 사용자가 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 검색어를 입력하면, 웹 서버(132)는 연결된 다수의 정보 제공 서버(152, 162)를 검색하여, 요청된 검색어에 대응되는 정보를 호출한다. 이 때, 호출되는 검색 결과에는 무료 정보와 유료 정보가 포함될 수 있다. 이 때 무료 정보와 유료 정보는 직접적으로 정보의 모든 내용이 검색 결과창에 표시되는 것이 아니라, 해당 무료 정보와 유료 정보에 대한 간단한 내용과 상기 정보를 제공하는 웹 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 링크가 표시된다(S20).
종래의 방법에서는 사용자가 유료 정보에 대한 링크를 선택하면, 유료 정보에 대한 개략적인 내용이 표시되고, 유료 정보를 열람하기 위해 해당 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트에 회원 가입 또는 로그인 절차를 수행한 후, 유료 정보에 대한 전체 비용을 결제를 요청하게 된다. 그러나 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 사용자가 유료 정보에 대한 링크를 선택하면, 메인 웹 사이트에서 유료 정보에 대한 사용 권한을 획득하여 계약 로그인이 가능한 상태이므로, 사용자가 요청한 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트에서의 회원 가입 절차나 로그인 절차를 수행할 필요 없이 유료 정보를 열람할 수 있게 된다(S30).
또한, 사용자가 선택한 유료 정보에 대한 비용 결제가 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 시행된다. 이 때 사용자가 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 비용을 결제하기 위해서, 적어도 메인 웹 사이트에는 회원 가입 및 로그인이 수행되어 있어야 한다. 이것은 비용 결제시 본인인지 여부에 대한 확인이 필요하기 때문이다.
또한, 사용자는 메인 웹 사이트에 적립해놓은 적립금이나 포인트를 이용하여 결제를 수행할 수 있다. 만일 메인 웹 사이트에 적립금이나 포인트가 없다면, 신용카드, 현금 이체를 이용하여 직접 결제하거나, 신용카드, 현금 이체 또는 타사 포인트의 전환 등을 통해 적립금을 적립하여 결제에 사용할 수도 있다.
사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보는 문서 데이터, 동영상, 음악 등 다양한 형태일 수 있다. 여기서는 문서 데이터인 경우에 한하여 설명하기로 한다.
사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보가 문서 데이터인 경우, 요청된 유료 정보가 다수의 웹 페이지로 구성되어 있는 문서 데이터인지, 한 페이지로 구성되어 있는 문서 데이터인지 여부를 확인한다(S40).
이 때, 사용자가 제공 요청한 문서 데이터가 한 페이지로 이루어진 유료 정보인 경우에는, 해당 문서 데이터에 대한 전체 비용을 결제하여야 하며, 해당 비용이 결제되면, 사용자가 제공 요청한 문서 데이터를 사용자에게 제공함으로써, 사용자는 유료 정보를 확인할 수 있다(S50).
그러나, 사용자가 제공 요청한 문서 데이터가 다수의 웹 페이지로 구성된 유료 정보인 경우에는, 유료 정보 전체에 대한 전체 비용의 결제를 요구하는 것이 아니라, 사용자가 열람하고자 하는 웹 페이지에 대한 결제만을 요구한다. 이 때, 다수의 웹 페이지로 구성된 유료 정보의 개략적인 정보를 사용자에게 제공함에 있어서, 유료 정보의 제목, 전체 비용, 개략적인 설명, 목차 및 전체 페이지에 대해 특정 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 탐색창과 바로 다음 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 '다음 페이지'버튼 등이 표시된다. 따라서 사용자는 제공된 탐색창을 통해 원하고자 하는 정보가 포함되어 있는 특정 페이지를 선택한 후, 선택된 페이지에 대해서만 비용을 결제하여 열람할 수 있게 된다. 여기서, 사용자가 '다음 페이지' 버튼을 누른 경우도 해당 페이지로 이동하고, 해당 페이지에 대한 비용 결제가 처리되는 과정이 동일하게 수행된다.
예로써, 사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보가 총 100페이지로 이루어져 있고, 전체 유료 정보의 비용이 10,000원이라면, 한 페이지당 비용은 100원이 된다. 이 때 사용자가 100페이지 중 51페이지를 열람하고 싶으면, 탐색창에 '51'을 입력한다. 그러면, 비용 결제를 위한 팝업창이 표시되고, 비용으로는 100원이 청구된다. 그리고 사용자가 해당 비용을 결제하면 바로 해당 페이지로 이동하여 열람 가능하다.
또한 다음 페이지, 즉 52페이지를 연속하여 열람하고자 하는 경우에는, 동일한 방식으로 결제가 이루어진다.
이와 같이, 사용자는 본인이 원하는 페이지만을 그 페이지에 대한 비용을 지불하고 열람할 수 있으므로, 사용자가 많은 비용에 대한 부담없이 편하게 원하는 정보를 획득할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 유료 정보의 획득 비용 부담이 줄어듦에 따라, 많은 사용자가 유료 정보를 이용하게 됨으로써, 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)도 경제적인 이득을 증가시킬 수 있게 된다(S60).
한편, 메인 웹 사이트에서 유료 정보를 판매함에 있어서, 메인 웹 사이트가 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로부터 유료 정보를 구매하여 판매한 경우, 사용자가 유료 정보의 획득을 위하여 결제한 비용은 메인 웹 사이트의 수입으로 된다.
그러나, 만일 메인 웹 사이트가 웹 사이트가 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로부터 유료 정보에 대한 사용 권한만을 획득한 경우에는, 사용자가 유료 정보의 획득을 위하여 결제한 비용은 유료 정보를 제공한 유료 정보 제공 업체로 전달된다. 이 경우, 메인 웹 사이트는 유료 정보의 중개자로서의 역할을 수행하게 되며, 이에 따라 일부 비용을 수수료로 받을 수도 있다(S70).
도 5 내지 도 9는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 유료 정보 제공 절차에 따라 가입자 단말에 제공되는 예시 화면이다.
먼저, 메인 웹 페이지를 제공하는 포털 서비스 시스템(130)은 유료 정보를 제공하는 다수의 유료 정보 제공 업체(150, 160)로부터 유료 정보를 확보한다.
도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 사용자가 메인 웹 페이지의 검색창에 '에디슨 리포터'를 입력하고 검색하면, 도 6에 도시된 바와 같은 검색 결과가 표시된다. 검색 결과에는 '에디슨 리포터'에 대한 다양한 정보가 표시되고, 이 정보에는 무료로 제공되는 정보와 유료로 제공되는 정보가 포함된다. 이 때 유료로 제공되는 정보에는 '유료'라는 표시가 되어 있다.
이 때 사용자가 '유료'라고 표시된 "(주)에디슨(대표자:박용석)에 대한 영문 Brief Report(ER1)"라는 링크를 선택하면, 메인 웹 페이지에서는 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트에 계약 로그인을 통해 유료 정보를 사용자에게 표시하여 준다. 즉, 사용자의 선택에 의해 유료 정보 이용을 위한 웹 페이지로 이동하고, 웹 페이지에는, 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 사용자가 선택한 유료 정보의 제목, 전체 비용, 개략적인 설명, 목차 및 전체 페이지에 대한 특정 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 탐색창('맞춤 페이지 이동'창)과 바로 다음 페이지로 이동할 수 있는 '다음 페이지' 버튼이 표시된다.
예로써, 유료 정보의 전체 구매 비용은 11000원이고, 총 페이지 수는 60페이지인 경우, 한 페이지를 열람하기 위해 필요한 비용은 전체 비용을 총 페이지 수로 나눈 183원이 된다. 이 때 한 페이지당 비용으로 183원을 그대로 결제할 수도 있지만, 1원 단위는 절사하여 180원만을 청구할 수 있다.
이 상태에서 사용자가 탐색창에서 3번째 페이지를 보기 위하여 '3'을 입력하고 '이동'버튼을 누려면, 도 8에 도시된 바와 같은 팝업창이 표시된다. 팝업창에는 '유료 컨텐츠를 선택하셨습니다. 다음 정보를 이용하시려면 유료결제 후 자료의 이용이 가능합니다.'라는 비용 결제 안내 문구와, '해당 페이지 가격(전체이용료/페이지수) 11000원 / 60 Page = 183원'이라는 한 페이지당 가격 정보, 그리고 현재 사용자가 보유하고 있는 적립금, 즉 현재 보유 금액인 '5700원'과, 해당 컨텐츠 이용금액인 '180원' 및 결재 후 남은 보유금액인 '5620원'이 표시되고, '유료 컨텐츠에 대한 결제를 하시겠습니까?'라는 결제 확인 문구가 기재된다.
이 때 사용자는 결제 후 해당 페이지로 이동하여 그 내용을 열람하고자 한다면, '예' 버튼을 선택하고, 결제하지 않고 해당 웹 페이지를 빠져나가고자 한다면 '아니오' 버튼을 선택할 수 있다.
사용자가 '예' 버튼을 선택하면, 도 9에 도시된 바와 같이, 3번째 페이지의 내용이 화면에 표시되고, 사용자는 그 내용을 열람할 수 있다. 그리고 해당 화면 하단에는 탐색창과 '다음 페이지'버튼이 표시되어 있어, 사용자가 계속적으로 다른 페이지를 열람할 수 있도록 한다.
만일 사용자가 다른 페이지를 열람하기 원한다면, 도 8에 도시된 바와 같은 팝업창이 다시 뜨게 되고, 동일한 절차를 거쳐 해당 컨텐츠를 이용할 수 있게 된다.
이러한 방식으로 결제된 비용은 유료 정보를 제공하는 웹 사이트로 전달된다. 예를 들면, 유료 정보가 'NAVER'라는 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 제공되었다면, 사용자가 결제한 비용은 'NAVER'의 계좌로 입금 처리된다.
도 4 내지 도 9에 대한 설명에 있어서, 사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보는 문서 데이터인 경우에 한하여 설명하였으나, 사용자가 동영상이나 음악 등을 요청한 경우에는, 사용자가 원하는 부분의 재생 시간 또는 패킷량을 기준으로 결제 비용을 산출하고, 해당 비용에 대한 결제가 요청되면 사용자가 요청한 부분만을 유료 정보로써 제공할 수도 있다.
이상에서 설명한 본 발명의 실시예는 장치 및 방법을 통해서만 구현이 되는 것은 아니며, 본 발명의 실시예의 구성에 대응하는 기능을 실현하는 프로그램 또는 그 프로그램이 기록된 기록 매체를 통해 구현될 수도 있으며, 이러한 구현은 앞서 설명한 실시예의 기재로부터 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 전문가라면 쉽게 구현할 수 있는 것이다.
이상에서 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 상세하게 설명하였지만 본 발명의 권리범위는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고 다음의 청구범위에서 정의하고 있는 본 발명의 기본 개념을 이용한 당업자의 여러 변형 및 개량 형태 또한 본 발명의 권리범위에 속하는 것이다.

Claims (11)

  1. 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하는 웹 서버에 있어서,상기 메인 웹 사이트를 구성하는 복수의 웹 페이지를 구성하여 운영하는 웹 서비스 제공 수단;상기 메인 웹 사이트의 검색창을 통해 입력되는 검색어에 대응되는 정보 데이터를 추출하여 제공하는 검색 기능 처리 수단;상기 추출된 다수의 정보 데이터 중 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 정보 데이터가 유료 정보인지 무료 정보인지 여부를 확인하는 유료/무료 정보 확인 수단;상기 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 수단; 및상기 유료 정보의 구매 비용에 대한 결제가 완료되면, 상기 유료 정보를 사용자에게 제공하는 정보 제공 수단을 포함하는 웹 서버.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,상기 검색 기능 처리 수단은,연결되어 있는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 상기 검색어에 대응되는 유료 정보를 추출하여, 상기 검색 결과로서 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 웹 서버.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 수단은,상기 사용자로부터 상기 유료 정보의 일부분에 대한 구매 요청이 수신되면, 상기 사용자가 구매 요청한 일부분에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 것을 특징으로 하는 웹 서버.
  4. 제3항에 있어서,상기 유료 정보 구매 비용 산출 수단은,사전에 설정된 전체 유료 정보 비용을 유료 정보의 전체 양으로 나누어 페이지당 가격, 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격을 산출하고, 상기 산출된 페이지당 가격, 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격에 상기 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 유료 정보의 양을 곱하여 구매 비용을 산출하는 것을 특징으로 하는 웹 서버.
  5. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 웹 서버는,상기 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 유료 정보에 대한 개략적인 정보 또는 미리 보기 화면을 제공하는 정보 검색/미리보기 서비스 제공 수단; 및상기 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용에 대한 결제 정보를 처리하는 결제 정보 처리 수단중 하나 이상을 추가로 포함하는 웹 서버.
  6. 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 결제를 처리하는 시스템에 있어서,상기 유료 정보를 제공하는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체;상기 메인 웹 사이트를 운영하며, 연결되어 있는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 제공되는 유료 정보를 검색 결과로 제공하고, 사용자가 제공 요청한 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 산출 및 결제 정보 처리를 수행하는 포털 서비스 시스템; 및상기 포털 서비스 시스템에 연결되어, 상기 유료 정보에 대한 비용 결제를 처리하는 결제 시스템을 포함하는 유료 정보 제공 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서,상기 포털 서비스 시스템은,상기 사용자로부터 상기 유료 정보의 일부분에 대한 구매 요청이 수신되면, 상기 사용자가 구매 요청한 일부분에 대한 구매 비용 산출 및 결제 정보 처리를 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유료 정보 제공 시스템.
  8. 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서,상기 포털 서비스 시스템은,상기 메인 웹 사이트를 운영 및 관리하며, 상기 사용자에 의해 제공 요청된 유료 정보를 상기 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 호출하고, 상기 호출된 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용의 산출 및 결제를 처리하는 웹 서버; 및상기 메인 웹 사이트의 운영을 위한 웹 사이트 데이터, 상기 유료 정보를 구매하는 사용자의 가입자 정보 데이터, 상기 유료 정보에 대한 결제 정보 데이터가 저장되는 데이터베이스부를 포함하는 유료 정보 제공 시스템.
  9. 메인 웹 사이트를 통해 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용 결제를 처리하는 방법에 있어서,(a) 사용자로부터의 정보 검색 요청이 입력되면, 연결되어 있는 하나 이상의 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 입력된 검색어에 대응되는 정보 데이터를 추출하여 제공하는 단계;(b) 상기 사용자로부터의 유료 정보 제공 요청이 수신되면, 상기 유료 정보에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 단계; 및 (c) 상기 메인 웹 페이지를 통해 상기 유료 정보의 구매 비용에 대한 결제가 완료되면, 구매 완료된 유료 정보를 상기 유료 정보 제공 업체로부터 호출하여 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 유료 정보 제공 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서,상기 단계 (b)는,(b1) 상기 사용자로부터 유료 정보의 제공 요청을 수신하는 단계;(b2) 상기 사용자로부터 제공 요청된 유료 정보에 대한 개략적인 정보 또는 미리 보기 화면을 제공하는 단계;(b3) 상기 사용자로부터 구매하고자하는 유료 정보의 구매 범위를 선택받는 단계; 및(b4) 상기 사용자가 선택한 유료 정보의 구매 범위에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 단계를 포함하는 유료 정보 제공 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서,상기 단계 (b4)는,(b41) 상기 사용자가 구매 요청한 유료 정보의 전체 구매 비용을 확인하는 단계;(b42) 상기 전체 구매 비용을 상기 유료 정보의 전체 양으로 나누어, 페이지당 가격, 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격을 산출하는 단계;(b43) 상기 단계 (b3)를 통하여 확인된 상기 유료 정보의 구매 범위와 상기 산출된 페이지당 가격, 재생 시간당 가격 또는 패킷당 가격을 곱하여, 상기 사용자가 선택한 유료 정보의 구매 범위에 대한 구매 비용을 산출하는 단계를 포함하는 유료 정보 제공 방법.
