Abstract

The present invention relates to a knee brace that is attachable/detachable to/from an ankle brace, and which is formed by interconnecting a knee brace (Fig. 1 (100)) and an ankle brace (Fig. 1 (200)) via a connection frame (Fig. 1 (600)) having a sawtooth side. The knee brace (100) is configured such that, when the patient bends the knee thereof to walk, an annular upper support (110) having a predetermined length and an annular lower support (120) having a predetermined length rapidly move toward a knee rotation angle center shaft (400) which can adjust the rotation angle of the knee of the patient through the simple structure thereof in accordance with the condition of the patient, such that the upper support (110) and the lower support (120) escape from the thigh and the calf of the patient, respectively, which form an inverted triangle shape, to loosen the fastening force of a fastening belt of the upper support, which fastens the brace to the thigh of the patient, and when the patient stands upright by straightening the knees thereof, the upper support and the lower support rapidly move to be spaced apart from each other to increase the gap therebetween in which the knee joint of the patient is positioned. The knee brace (100) has a rubber band (300) which enables the O-shaped bowleg of the patient to become an X-shaped leg to protect the outworn internal cartilaginous plate of the knee joint and to urge the use of the external cartilaginous plate thereof, and which draws the knee rotation angle center shaft (400) in a backward direction to assist the upper support and the lower support in standing upright. The ankle brace (200) has an ankle rotation angle center shaft (500) which can adjust the rotation angle of the ankle of the patient through the simple structure thereof in accordance with the condition of the patient, and the ankle rotation angle center shaft (500) has a hole (510) for inserting the ankle bone of the patient to improve the comfort of the patient. The knee brace that is attachable/detachable to/from ankle brace according to the present invention, and which is formed by interconnecting the knee brace (100) and the ankle brace (200) via the connection frame (600) having a sawtooth side, distributes the weight of a patient being loaded onto the knee thereof from an upper support (110) of the knee brace to a sole plate (350) of the ankle brace, thus protecting the knee joint of the patient.
