Abstract

　本発明は、耐水性が優れ、エマルションの安定性に優れ、使用時に汚れの発生を起こし難いアルケニルコハク酸無水物系サイズ剤組成物を提供するために、２５℃で液状であるアルケニルコハク酸無水物６０～９５質量％と２５℃で液状である２-オキセタノン化合物を５～４０質量％と含有する混合物を乳化して得られる乳化物であることを特徴とするアルケニルコハク酸無水物系サイズ剤組成物であって、好ましくは、２-オキセタノン化合物が以下の(１)及び(２)を満たすアルケニルコハク酸無水物系サイズ剤組成物を解決手段とする。 (１)炭素数８～１０の脂肪酸が８～２０質量％、及び炭素数１２～１８である脂肪酸が９２～８０質量％である脂肪酸混合物を原料にして得られる２-オキセタノン化合物 (２)前記(１)の脂肪酸混合物に含まれる不飽和脂肪酸が２質量％以下である脂肪酸混合物を原料にして得られる２-オキセタノン化合物
