Description

AN APPARATUS THAT MAKES BANKING TRANSACTIONS BY VIDEO CONFERENCING AND A METHOD THEREOF
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a micro branch without staff designed in the way that can serve both inside the branch (indoor) and outside the branch (outdoor) to enable all banking transactions such as cash advance, investment, paying bill to be done by video conferencing without the need to be gone to the branch bank.
The invention particularly relates to a method relating to a VTM which enable to fulfil client's banking transactions by the help of the officer in the further call centre and without any branch officer, physically, take on the task of the officer by software and hardware constituents and is designed in the way to be used both inside the branch and safe outer branches such as shopping malls and terminals by means of a banking transaction officer that communicate with the client through monitor, and the use of the apparatus being talked about.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART
Nowadays, banks have been gaining an important seat for the person's economic activity. As for the time loss because of the queue in the braches, they come in sight as the biggest shortage of the clients of the bank. In addition to this, that the speed of the internet and the data transfer speed presented to the user, increase with the developing technology each passing day and that people, now, race against time reveal the necessity of any type of banking transactions being able to be made without the need people to go to the branches. In the direction of this necessity, to enable that people can do their banking transactions such as cash advance, money transfer, paying debt/bill and the like without the need them to go to the branches of which they are clients, ATM (Automated Teller Machine) apparatus arranged in the places where the population of the area is dense, are developed. By means of the apparatus being talked about, people can make banking transactions.
In the common situation of the technique, in comparison with the operations made in the branch in banking transactions, while increasing the productivity on behalf of the bank and the client, there are alternative distributions channels are developed in ATM functionality to increase the profitability by minimizing the operational expenditure of the bank. Channels such as telephone banking and online banking are the most known and widespread use of them. In the traditional channels being takes about, client, generally, uses the new technologies alone with the guidance of the machine or the computer. One of the most important disadvantages of the method is that the frequency of using these new apparatuses changes according to the adaptation level of the user to the technology. Particularly in the banks that have mostly elderly and retired clients, banking transactions are made in the branches because of the various factors the most active one of which is technology adaptations. Since ATM isn't used by some of the elderly and retired people, banking transactions are made in the branches, therefore, both bank staff and the client of the bank meet with unnecessary loss of labour force and time. Adaptation process (educational background) of ATM users to the usage of ATM being talked about, affect directly the rate of usage of ATM mentioned. Another factor which affects the frequency of ATM usage together with the adaptation process is that users cannot trust in transactions made by the related apparatus and their being discomfort able from the people around. With the aim of assigning of confidence in the banking transactions made by ATM, it is possible to come across with patents which are made in parallel with the development of the technique. For example; European Patent Application No. EP 1956566 discloses an ATM which has finger print definition system to make the definition of the identification of the user. Once more, to provide the same object, an ATM apparatus which has eye definition system, is disclosed in KR20020042241 numbered application. A handicap, which has an important role in ATM usage, wherein people around may see the personnel information of the user, necessitate to be done a set of evolutions in this matter, too. For example; US2007290033 numbered American application, to obstruct others to see the password or any personnel information of the users while they writing them down on the related apparatus, displays a security arrangement which obstructs the fugitive looks by positioning it on the keyboard. The result which appears as a consequence of works made in order to put the time loss encountered in banks away by making the ATM usage widespread and cause profitability by putting cost of labour force which is also unnecessary for the banks away, is that the usage of ATMs should be facilitated and easy and quick adaptation of users to the apparatus should be provided. That the branches have high cost of rent, maintenance, energy and personnel, that the personnel employed to meet the density encountered in the specific days of week or month might remain inactive at other times, that it is impossible to make transactions out of working hours and that the logistics of the branch beside the logistics of the personnel and the sheltering need creates a huge cost, make ATM usage much more important. However, the necessity of giving a card to clients to make banking transactions in the ATMs used with present technique and to make identification confirmation, the necessity of the client's having high educational level, that the used banking transaction set is limited and transaction limits are low, and that they are in a structure which is not flexible and customizable according to the client, are the factors that reduce frequency of usage.
ATMs used in present applications; are just apparatuses that guide clients with a variety of programmed instruction, not much. Since the functionality of the ATM apparatuses are limited, the thing to be done, in fact, is to make branch without personnel by minimizing it and to enable all banking transactions done via this micro branch with distant banking.
When all previous technical documents and present applications are analysed, it cannot be encountered to an application which discloses without personnel branch that doesn't require any card and/or definition information to identify the client, and elderly clients can use easily.
As a conclusion, particularly, the existence of the need for a VTM in which the security and transaction comfort is as much as in the branch environment since there is a video and sound communication with the client, and all transactions which are made in branches can be made, and the inadequacy of the present solutions in this field, necessitate to do a development in the related technique field.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of an apparatus (VTM) which can made banking transactions via video conferencing, the subject of the invention and a method related to this communication method, are only represented as an example to make the subject understood much better and in a way that there would be no limiter effect. In all descriptions, hereafter, VTM expression will be substitute for an apparatus with which banking transactions are made via video conferencing. Like the client (30) who get transactions made in a normal branch, the client (30) uses physical components only in the transactions such as money receiving/giving with the apparatus in the subject of the invention and the method, except that all transactions are made by means of bank transaction officer (32) who made guidance via further control, like the personnel who gets transaction made in the booking office. Thus, even the ones who have weakness in the matter of using suchlike apparatuses will use the apparatus in the subject of the invention easily.
In the Figure 1, it is given a two dimensional front view of VTM which has the feature of video conferencing in the subject of the invention. The client (30) who wants to make banking transaction via mentioned VTM, only sits on the seat (28) in front of the VTM which has a cabin design in a preferred application of the invention without a need to use any card and to input secret identity data to the system. When the client (30), who enters in from the door as if he/she enters in a branch, sits on the seat (28) in front of the system positioned inside the cabin (10), that the client (30) came is perceived via at least one sensor (26) and a message is sent to central server (31). Mentioned sensor (26) might be movement perception and/or heat sensor and also sensors which have different features might be used. Central server (31) send the coming call information to the bank transaction officer (32) in the call centre and video conferencing connection is established by bank transaction officer (32) by answering the wish. Client (30) sees the bank transaction officer (32) in the call centre by means of at least one monitor (27) arranged on a VTM and hears his/her voice from the loudspeaker (13). Bank transaction officer (32) in the call centre sees the image of the client (30) via camera (12) and hears his/her voice by means of microphone, thus the communication is established. By the help of mentioned camera (12), the image of the client (30) who is perceived when sitting on the seat (28) after entering inside the cabin (10) is transmitted to bank transaction officer (32) by photographing or by online shooting and by providing further control by the help of video conferencing -since the transaction officer (32) is in a direct communication with the client (30)- all banking transactions are completed in the direction of the client's (30) wishes and needs.
After establishing communication between the client (30) and the bank transaction officer (32), client tells the transaction that he/she wants to do and for the first step mentioned bank transaction officer (32) wants client (30) to put his/her hand to the palm reader (19) in order to identify him/her. After being confirmed, the client (30) completes his/her transactions with bank transaction officer (32) interactively step by step according to the transaction type that he/she wants to do. Bank transaction officer (32) may want the client (30) to put the document being talked about on the scanner, to see the identity card or any document of the client (30). He/she uses coin receiving/giving unit (16) and banknote receiving/giving unit (17) for withdrawal and investment transactions. If it is needed to have the client's (30) signature in any step, he/she wants the client (30) to sign the signature receiving unit (18) which front of the mentioned VTM. By doing such an application, the security is held in the highest level, and the signature is confirmed by comparing with the signed transactions that the client (30) made before. If the client (30) wants to make transaction with card, he/she can use contactless card reader (14) or card reader (15). If there is a need to enter any password, he/she can use numeric keyboard (20). In transactions such as paying bills, he/she can get his/her bill read in the barcode reader (25). After completing transactions, he/she can get his/her receipt from document/receipt writer (23). He/she can also get his/her check which shows completed transaction summary from the check writer (22). Transaction officers (32) in the centre terminate the conference after he/she has completed his/her transaction and client (30) stands up from his/her seat and leave the cabin (10). Air conditioning of the cabin (10) is done by the help of ventilators which is in the front and provides air conditioning inside the cabin. There is positioned an application documents container box (29) in order to collect application documents in the applications such as credit application of the client (30). The communication process which starts with the embodiment of the client (10) on the mentioned seat (28) after entering inside the cabin (10), is terminated by the transaction officer (32) after the completion of all transactions of the client (10). Different methods also can be used except for the movement perceived by at least one sensor (26) to enable transaction officer (32) to get in contact with the client (30). In the Figure 3, there is given schematic view of the communication between the client (30) and the bank transaction officer (32). The communication is actualized by sending communication wish about the perception of the client (30) to the central server (31) as a result of the perception of the client (30) in such a way that he/she sits on the seat (26) in the cabin (10) and/or in different way, mentioned central server (31) sending wish message to the transaction officer (32) who is currently suitable for the communication and providing video conferencing between the bank transaction officer (32) and the client (30) on internet.
It can be provided VTM's in the subject of the invention giving service by making the cabin (10) which will be used in the outer places smaller and compact, and by positioning it in a line side by side in a separate division in the branches. Sizes and visual features of the mentioned cabin (10) can be changed. There might be created a different source of income by arranging an advertising board (33) which can be used with commercial purpose to the backside of the cabin (10).
Alternatively, mentioned VTM can be produced in such a way that it has different designs but similar functions in the manner that it can work both inside the branch (indoors) and outside the branch (outdoors).
The conservation scope of this application, are determined in the claims section and it cannot be certainly limited with the things described above with the aim of exemplifying. It is obvious that an expert person in the technique can present the innovation presented in the invention by also using similar constructs and/or that he/she can also apply this construct to other fields which is used in the related technique and have similar aims. Consequently, it is obvious that such constructs will be devoid of the criteria of innovation and overcoming particularly the known situation of the technique.
