1.- Couvercle métallique pour contenants, en particulier pour des contenants du genre boîtes de conserve métallique, lequel couvercle (1 ) se compose d'une partie (2) formant bague périphérique pour l'assemblage dudit couvercle (1 ) sur la bordure supérieure d'un corps de contenant, laquelle bague (2) est associée au moins en partie, par l'intermédiaire d'une ligne d'amorce de rupture (3), à une partie (4) formant panneau central d'obturation, lequel panneau central (4) est équipé, au niveau de sa surface supérieure (5), d'un organe de préhension (6) pour rompre ladite ligne d'amorce de rupture (5) et pour exercer une traction sur ledit panneau (4), lequel organe de préhension (6) comporte sur sa longueur deux parties : - une partie bec (7) fixée audit panneau (4) à proximité de ladite ligne d'amorce de rupture (3), et - une partie centrale de préhension (8) qui, avant manœuvre, est plaquée contre ladite surface supérieure (5) du panneau central (4), laquelle partie de préhension (8) comporte des contours (8a, 8b) définissant son encombrement (E), lequel panneau central (4) comporte encore, du côté de sa surface supérieure (5), une empreinte en creux (10) ménagée pour faciliter la préhension de ladite partie de préhension (8), caractérisé en ce que ladite empreinte en creux (10) est ménagée en dehors de l'encombrement (E) de ladite partie de préhension (8), et en ce qu'une partie du contour (10a) de ladite empreinte (10) s'étend de manière directement adjacente à une partie dudit encombrement (E) de la partie de préhension (8). 1.- Metal lid for containers, in particular for containers of the metal cans type, which lid (1) consists of a portion (2) forming a peripheral ring for assembling said lid (1) on the upper edge of a container body, which ring (2) is associated at least in part, via a breaking initiation line (3), with a part (4) forming a central obturating panel, which central panel (4) is equipped, at its upper surface (5), with a gripping member (6) for breaking said breaking initiation line (5) and for exerting traction on said panel (4) , which gripping member (6) has two parts along its length: - a nose portion (7) fixed to said panel (4) close to said breaking initiation line (3), and - a central gripping portion ( 8) which, before operation, is pressed against said upper surface (5) of the central panel (4), which portion e gripping (8) has contours (8a, 8b) defining its size (E), which central panel (4) further comprises, on the side of its upper surface (5), a hollow recess (10) arranged to facilitate gripping said gripping portion (8), characterized in that said hollow recess (10) is provided outside the bulk (E) of said gripping portion (8), and that part of the contour (10a) of said cavity (10) extends directly adjacent a portion of said bulk (E) of the gripping portion (8).
