Description

Cover for covering a bearing pin of a bearing bracket and thus equipped household appliance

The present invention relates to a lid for covering a first free end of a bearing pin of a bearing bracket, which is intended for storing a door of a household appliance such as in particular a refrigerator, and a domestic appliance, in which the bearing journal is covered with such a lid.

For household appliances, such as refrigerators in particular, the problem arose again and again that the opening angle of the door was not large enough and the forces occurring at the door stop were not taken up well enough. Therefore, a hinge system has been developed that allows a large opening angle of the door and absorbs the forces occurring at the door stop.

In many devices, an electrical cable from the so-called control panel on the front of the household appliance in the door to guide so that attached to the front of the door controls are electrically connected to the control panel or there attached display elements with power. In an aforementioned hinge system, when assembling the cover of the bearing bracket, which is mounted so that the bearing angle when opening the door for the user is not visible, the electric cable must either be held under a cover or inserted into a guide. Fig. 1 shows a household appliance 9 with open door 9a. On household appliance 9, a bearing bracket 10 is fixed, at the free end 11, a bearing pin 12 is arranged. The bearing angle 10 with the bearing pin 12 is formed mirror-symmetrically about its horizontal longitudinal axis. That is, it only needs a design of the bearing bracket 10 to be made, which can then be attached to the right or left of the household appliance 9. The journal 12 in this embodiment has, but not necessarily, a generally rectangular cross section in the horizontal direction.

On the lower free end 15 (see Fig. 3) of the bearing pin 12, a bearing bush 20 is attached, which rotatably supports the door 9a. Through the bushing 20, an electrical cable 60 is passed through a bushing 22, which is guided inside the household appliance 9 to a so-called control panel, with which among other control and regulating functions can be performed. In the area of the control panel, a recess 6 is provided into which a cover for the bearing bracket 10 can be engaged. A front panel 8 covers at least part of the control panel.

A lid 30 can be plugged in the direction shown by the arrow A on the first, upper free end 14 of the journal 12. The lid 30 is internally formed so that it can be positively fitted onto the bearing pin 12. At the household appliance 9 facing side of the lid 30 projects a guide rib 34, which has substantially the same curvature as the bearing angle 10 in this area. As a result, it can be achieved that the cable 60 can not slip toward the household appliance 9 in the lateral direction, that is, in the horizontal direction, but is safely guided. The cover 30 has, on its side facing the cable 60, an inlet 32 for the cable 60, which then extends further down through the bearing bush 20. In order to ensure the cable 60 and a support or guidance upwards, the cover 30 has a cable holding portion 33 which is formed as the end face or top of the lid 30 extending surface.

Fig. 2 shows the lid 30 as it is placed on the upper free end 14 of the journal 12. Both the guide rib 34 and the cable holding portion 33 fix the cable 60 on the corresponding portion of the bearing bracket 10. Thus, is not too fear that the cable 60 could move when attaching a cover for the bearing bracket 10.

Fig. 3 shows the household appliance 9 according to the invention with the patch on the bearing journal 12 cover 30 from a different angle. The guide rib 34 guides the cable 60 and supports it against slipping to the household appliance 9 down. In the lid 30, a passage region 35 is provided, which adjoins the inlet 32 and is intended for the passage of the cable 60. By a correspondingly shaped portion 26 of the bushing 20, the cable 60 is then further down. In Fig. 3 it can be seen that the guide rib 34 rises approximately the same height above the bearing angle 10 as the resting on the bearing bracket 10 cable 60. As shown in Fig. 4, a cover 40 has already been pushed in the direction of arrow B on the bearing bracket 10. The cover 40 has schematically indicated latching hooks 44 which are latched into the not shown in Fig. 4 recess 6 on the front of the household appliance 9. The latching hooks 44 form a connection device 42.

It should be noted that the cover 40 is not plugged or clamped on the bearing bracket 10 itself, but is locked to the recess 6 in the front panel 8 of the household appliance 9. The cover engages flush, accurate and without disturbing joints or slots in the front panel. This can be ensured even if the bearing bracket 10 is arranged offset due to positional tolerances vertically, horizontally or in an oblique direction. As an additional support, the cover 40 has at its free end 41 a latching hook 45 connected thereto via an elastic rib 46, which engages loosely, ie with play, in a corresponding recess 24 (see Fig. 5) of the bearing bush 20 and thus the portion 26 of the bearing bush 20, which has a circular arc-shaped cross section, engages under.
