Abstract

본 발명은 멀티 캐리어 (multi-carrier)를 이용하는 통신 시스템에서 전력절감 (Power saving)을 위한 멀티 캐리어 자원 활용 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 단말과 기지국간의 데이터 트래픽 상태, 최대 허용 전송률(Maximum sustained traffic rate) 또는 최대 전송 버스트 크기(Maximum traffic burst size) 등의 QoS (Quality of Service) 요구사항에 따라서 기지국과 단말간의 데이터 트래픽을 송수신하기 위한 Secondary 캐리어의 활성화(activation)를 결정하고, 이를 지시하는 지시메시지(Indication)를 Primary 캐리어를 통하여 단말로 전달하여, 활성화된 Secondary 캐리어를 통해서 데이터 트래픽(traffic)을 송수신 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티 캐리어를 이용한 데이터 송수신 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다.
