Abstract

The present invention relates to a water purifier of a type employing stepping-stones coated with titanium dioxide, whereby water-treatment efficiency is improved through the use of the oxidizing power of titanium dioxide and an internal biofilm carrier. The present invention improves on the treatment efficiency of prior-art processing methods in that the powerful oxidising action of titanium dioxide only takes place on the surface and is not persistent and hence there is no effect on microorganisms or the like.
