Description

プログラム、情報処理装置、情報処理方法、および情報管理装置
　本発明は、プログラム、情報処理装置、情報処理方法、および情報管理装置に関し、特に、ユーザによって広告が見られる確率を上げることができるようにしたプログラム、情報処理装置、情報処理方法、および情報管理装置に関する。
　従来、検索サーバによるWEBページの検索結果の画面の端に、WEBページの検索に用いられたキーワードに関連する商品やサービスなどの広告を表示させる、いわゆる検索連動型の広告配信が一般的に行われている。
　例えば、ユーザがマウスなどを操作して広告上にカーソルを移動させ、クリックを行った場合、リンク先となる商品やサービスの情報を掲載するWEBページがブラウザ上に表示される。これにより、検索サーバを使って検索サービスを提供している事業者に広告の掲載を依頼した広告依頼主は自分が販売する商品や、提供するサービスの情報をユーザに見てもらうことができる。

　広告依頼主にとっても、検索ページの価値を向上させるという点で検索サービス事業者にとっても、より多くのユーザに広告を見てもらうことは好ましい。
　本発明はこのような状況に鑑みてなされたものであり、ユーザによって広告が見られる確率を上げることができるようにするものである。
　本発明の一側面のプログラム、または情報処理方法は、リンク先が設定されているリンク元情報を含む情報を項目とするリストに、前記リンク元情報を表示するために用いる情報を取得し、前記リンク元情報と、広告の配信を行うサーバから取得した広告を項目とするリストを、リンク先の情報の表示領域である第１の領域と異なる第２の領域に表示させ、前記リスト上で注目された前記リンク元情報に対して設定されているリンク先の情報、または前記リスト上で注目された広告に対して設定されているリンク先の情報を、前記第１の領域に表示させるステップを含む。
　広告の配信を行う前記サーバから取得した広告を、前記リストに形成される各項目の表示欄のうちの、前記リンク元情報の表示欄より広い表示欄に表示させるようにすることができる。
　注目対象とする前記リストの項目を、入力装置を用いて行われるユーザによる一定方向の操作に応じて切り替える場合、前記リンク元情報から次の項目に注目対象を切り替えるのに必要な量より多い量の前記一定方向の操作が行われたときに、注目対象とする項目を、広告から次の項目に切り替えるようにすることができる。
　注目対象とする前記リスト上の項目を、所定の方向に並ぶ項目の順に自動的に切り替える場合、前記リンク元情報から次の項目に注目対象を切り替える時間より長い時間が経過したときに、注目対象とする項目を、広告から次の項目に切り替えるようにすることができる。
　前記リンク元情報を取得したリンク先に関する情報を広告の配信を行う前記サーバに対して送信し、広告の情報と、それぞれの広告の表示方法を指定する情報である制御情報を取得し、前記制御情報により指定される方法に従って、前記リストに広告を表示させるようにすることができる。
　ユーザにより入力されたキーワードに基づいてWEBページの検索を行うとともに、前記キーワードを広告の配信を行う前記サーバに対して送信し、前記キーワードに基づいて前記サーバにより選択された広告の情報を取得し、検索結果として得られたWEBページのタイトルを前記リンク元情報として含む前記リストを前記第２の領域に表示させる前に、前記サーバから取得した広告を前記第２の領域に表示させるようにすることができる。
　本発明の一側面の情報処理装置は、リンク先が設定されているリンク元情報を含む情報を項目とするリストに、前記リンク元情報を表示するために用いる情報を取得する取得手段と、前記取得手段により取得された前記リンク元情報と、広告の配信を行うサーバから取得した広告を項目とするリストを、リンク先の情報の表示領域である第１の領域と異なる第２の領域に表示させ、前記リスト上で注目された前記リンク元情報に対して設定されているリンク先の情報、または前記リスト上で注目された広告に対して設定されているリンク先の情報を、前記第１の領域に表示させる表示制御手段とを備える。
　本発明の他の側面の情報管理装置は、情報処理装置から送信されてくる、前記情報処理装置により前記リンク元情報が取得されたリンク先に関する情報に基づいて広告を選択し、選択した広告の情報と、それぞれの広告の表示方法を指定する情報である制御情報を前記情報処理装置に対して配信する配信手段を備える。
　本発明の一側面においては、リンク先が設定されているリンク元情報を含む情報を項目とするリストに、前記リンク元情報を表示するために用いる情報が取得され、前記リンク元情報と、広告の配信を行うサーバから取得した広告を項目とするリストが、リンク先の情報の表示領域である第１の領域と異なる第２の領域に表示される。また、前記リスト上で注目された前記リンク元情報に対して設定されているリンク先の情報、または前記リスト上で注目された広告に対して設定されているリンク先の情報が、前記第１の領域に表示される。
　本発明の他の側面においては、情報処理装置から送信されてくる、前記情報処理装置により前記リンク元情報が取得されたリンク先に関する情報に基づいて広告が選択され、選択された広告の情報と、それぞれの広告の表示方法を指定する情報である制御情報が前記情報処理装置に対して配信される。
　本発明によれば、ユーザによって広告が見られる確率を上げることができる。

　図１は、本発明の一実施形態に係る広告配信システムの構成例を示す図である。
　図１に示されるように、この広告配信システムは、情報処理装置としてのPC(Personal Computer)１、検索サーバ２、情報管理装置としての広告サーバ３、およびWEBサーバ４が、インターネットなどよりなるネットワーク５を介して接続されることによって構成される。PCや各サーバの数は任意である。
　検索サーバ２は、キーワードなどに基づくWEBページの検索機能を提供するサーバであり、検索サービスを提供する事業者などによって管理される。検索サーバ２は、PC１からネットワーク５を介して送信されてきた検索要求に基づいてWEBページの検索を行い、検索結果を送信する。PC１から検索サーバ２に対する検索要求にはキーワードが含まれ、一方、検索サーバ２からPC１に対する検索結果には、検索された各WEBページのタイトル、検索サマリー（要約）、URL(Uniform Resource Locator)などの情報が含まれる。
　広告サーバ３は、広告を配信するサーバである。広告サーバ３は、例えば、PC１からネットワーク５を介して送信されてきた情報に基づいて広告を選択し、選択した広告の情報をPC１に送信（配信）する。広告サーバ３においては、広告サーバ３の管理者である広告配信事業者に対して広告の配信を依頼してきた広告依頼主が販売する商品や、提供するサービスなどに関する広告の情報があらかじめ管理されている。
　WEBサーバ４は、テキストや画像を掲載するWEBページや、動画などのWEBコンテンツを管理するサーバであり、インターネットプロバイダなどによって管理される。WEBサーバ４は、PC１から要求されたWEBページを表示するためのHTML(Hyper Text Markup Language)ファイルやWEBコンテンツなどをPC１に送信する。以下、PC１においてWEBページが扱われる場合について主に説明するが、WEBコンテンツが扱われる場合にも同様の処理がPC１において行われる。
　PC１はWEBページの閲覧を行うユーザにより利用される機器であり、Internet Explorer（商標）などのWEBブラウザが搭載される。WEBページの閲覧を行うとき、ユーザは、例えば、WEBブラウザを起動させて検索サーバ２にアクセスし、検索ページをディスプレイに表示させる。また、ユーザは、検索ページの入力欄にキーボードを操作するなどしてキーワードを入力し、そのキーワードと関連のあるWEBページの検索を検索サーバ２に行わせる。
　検索サーバ２による検索結果は、ネットワーク５を介してPC１に送信され、WEBブラウザによって検索結果が表示される。検索結果の画面には、１０個や１００個などの所定の数のWEBページ毎に、各WEBページのタイトル、検索サマリー、URLなどが並べて表示される。ユーザは、タイトルや検索サマリーの内容を確認して所定のWEBページを選択することによって、選択したWEBページをWEBブラウザに表示させ、閲覧することができる。
　また、PC１には、WEBブラウザと連動し、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページのタイトルなどを項目とするリストを表示させるソフトウエアが搭載されている。例えば、マウスを操作するなどして、リストに表示されているタイトルの中から所定のタイトルがユーザにより選択されたとき、WEBサーバ４からその選択されたWEBページの情報がWEBブラウザにより取得され、タイトルが選択されたWEBページが表示される。
　以下、適宜、WEBページのタイトルなどを項目とするリストを表示させるソフトウエアをリスト表示用ソフトウエアという。リスト表示用ソフトウエアは、単独のアプリケーションとして用意するのではなく、WEBブラウザのプラグインの形として用意することも可能である。
　図２は、PC１のディスプレイに表示される画面の例を示す図である。
　図２の例においては、WEBブラウザのウインドウであるブラウザウインドウ１１が右側に表示され、リスト表示用ソフトウエアのウインドウであるリストウインドウ１２が左側に表示されている。
　ブラウザウインドウ１１の上方には、WEBページのURLが表示されるURL表示欄の他に、１つ前のWEBページに戻るときに操作されるボタンや１つ先のWEBページに進むときに操作されるボタンなどが設けられ、その下に、WEBページの表示領域であるWEBページ表示部１１Ａが設けられる。例えば、検索サーバ２から検索結果が取得された直後には、上述した各WEBページのタイトル、検索サマリーなどがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに並べて表示される。WEBページ表示部１１Ａには、WEBページの検索結果の他に各種のWEBページが表示される。
　リストウインドウ１２にはリスト１２Ａが表示される。リスト１２Ａには、検索結果のWEBページのタイトルが項目として表示される。後述するように、リスト１２Ａには、広告が項目として表示されることもある。このように、リスト１２Ａは、WEBページ表示部１１Ａとは異なる領域に表示される。
　図３は、リスト１２Ａの表示の具体例を示す図である。
　例えば、キーワード「ＡＢＣ」に基づいて検索が行われた場合、「ＡＢＣ」に関連する各WEBページのタイトルと検索サマリーがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されるとともに、リスト１２Ａには、図３に示されるように各WEBページのタイトルが項目として表示される。図３の例においては、「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」、「ＡＢＣクッキング　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ靴屋　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ英会話教室」、・・・が上から順に表示されている。
　ユーザは、マウスなどを操作して所定のタイトルの上にカーソルを移動させ、クリックを行うことでそのタイトルを選択し、タイトルを選択したWEBページをWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させることができる。リストに表示されるタイトルにはリンク先が設定されていることになる。図３の例においては、「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」が選択されており、この場合、WEBページ表示部１１Ａには「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」のWEBページが表示される。「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」の欄に斜線が付されていることは、ユーザにより選択されるなどして「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」のWEBページが注目されていることを表している。
　リスト表示用ソフトウエアにはWEBページのスライドショー表示機能が設けられている。スライドショー表示の開始がユーザにより指示されたとき、リスト１２Ａに表示されているそれぞれのタイトルが上の方に表示されているものから順に注目され、それに応じてWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されるWEBページが切り替えられる。各WEBページの表示間隔は、２秒、５秒、１０秒といったようにユーザにより指定される。
　例えば、図３のリスト１２Ａが表示されている状態でスライドショー表示の開始が指示された場合、「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」、「ＡＢＣクッキング　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ靴屋　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ英会話教室」、・・・の順に、各WEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示される。これにより、ユーザは、検索結果のWEBページの中から自ら選択することなく、各WEBページの内容を確認することができる。
　WEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示するWEBページの切り替えは、マウスに設けられるホイールの回転操作によっても行うことが可能とされる。例えば、カーソルがリストウインドウ１２上（リストウインドウ１２の内側）にある場合、所定の量だけホイールが回転される毎に、リスト１２Ａにおいて注目するタイトルが切り替えられ、それに応じて、WEBページ表示部１１Ａの表示が切り替えられる。
　すなわち、上述したように「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」、「ＡＢＣクッキング　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ靴屋　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ英会話教室」、・・・の順にWEBページを表示させることは、カーソルをリストウインドウ１２の上に移動させ、その状態でホイールを手前方向に回転し続けることによっても実現される。なお、ホイールを奥方向に回転させる操作が行われたとき、手前方向に回転させる操作が行われたときと反対に、「ＡＢＣ英会話教室」、「ＡＢＣ靴屋　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣクッキング　トップページ」、「ＡＢＣ放送　ABC Broadcasting」の順にWEBページが表示される。
　また、リスト表示用ソフトウエアには、広告サーバ３から提供された広告をリストに表示する機能も設けられている。例えば、検索サーバ２による検索の結果を取得したとき、PC１のリスト表示用ソフトウエアは、検索結果に含まれる各WEBページのURLなどの識別情報を広告サーバ３に対して送信する。PC１から送信されてきたURLの中に広告依頼主が開設するWEBページのURLが含まれている場合、広告サーバ３においては、その広告依頼主により依頼された広告が選択され、選択された広告の情報がPC１に対して送信される。広告の情報には、広告の見出しとなるテキストや、広告の詳細な内容が掲載されているWEBページのURLなどが含まれる。
　広告サーバ３から送信されてきた広告の情報を受信したPC１のリスト表示用ソフトウエアは、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページのタイトルとともに、広告サーバ３から取得した広告をリストの項目として表示させる。
　図４は、広告を項目として含むリスト１２Ａの表示例を示す図である。
　図４の例においては、上から順に、「WEBページ＃１」、「WEBページ＃２」が表示され、その下の欄に「広告＃１」がリスト１２Ａの項目として表示されている。ここでは、WEBページのタイトルを「WEBページ＃」と数字で示し、広告を「広告＃」と数字で示している。「WEBページ＃１」、「WEBページ＃２」は、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページのタイトルであり、「広告＃１」は、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた広告である。
　また、図４の例においては、「広告＃１」の下に、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページのタイトルである「WEBページ＃３」、「WEBページ＃４」、「WEBページ＃５」が表示され、その下の欄に、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた広告である「広告＃２」が表示されている。
　「WEBページ＃１」が注目されている図４の状態でスライドショー表示の開始が指示された場合、または、カーソルをリストウインドウ１２上に移動させた状態でホイールを手前方向に回転する操作が行われた場合、「WEBページ＃２」、「広告＃１」、「WEBページ＃３」、「WEBページ＃４」、「WEBページ＃５」、「広告＃２」、・・・が順に注目され、注目されているWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示される。すなわち、WEBページ表示部１１Ａには、「WEBページ＃１」、「WEBページ＃２」が順に表示され、その次に、「広告＃１」に対してリンクが張られている、「広告＃１」の詳細な内容が掲載されているWEBページが表示される。また、「WEBページ＃３」、「WEBページ＃４」、「WEBページ＃５」が順に表示され、その次に、「広告＃２」に対してリンクが張られているWEBページが表示される。
　これにより、広告配信事業者は、リスト表示用ソフトウエアを使ってWEBページの閲覧を行っているユーザに対して、広告を確実に見せることができる。例えば、検索結果のWEBページの端の方に表示されるバナー広告の場合、それがユーザによりクリックされなければリンクが張られているWEBページは表示されないが、このように、リストの項目として広告が表示され、項目が注目されることに連動してWEBページが表示されるようにすることにより、リストにタイトルが表示されている他のWEBページと同様に、それぞれの広告に対してリンクが張られているWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されることになる。
　広告配信事業者は、広告依頼主から料金を徴収し、リスト表示用ソフトウエアを使ってWEBページの閲覧を行っているユーザに広告を見せるといったビジネスを行うことが可能になる。
　なお、「広告＃１」、「広告＃２」としてリスト１２Ａに表示される広告はテキスト広告やアドセンス的な広告であってもよいし、静止画や動画などを含む、バナー形式の広告、ポップアップ形式の広告、リッチメディア広告であってもよい。後述するように、リスト１２Ａ上における各広告の表示位置などは、広告サーバ３から送信されてくる情報に従って決定される。
　また、以上においては、検索結果のWEBページのURLの中に広告依頼主が開設するWEBページのURLが含まれている場合に、その広告依頼主により依頼された広告が広告サーバ３により選択されるものとしたが、ランダムに選択されるといったように、広告の選択の仕方はどのようなものであってもよい。
　検索結果のWEBページの識別情報として、URLがPC１から送信されるのではなく、検索結果のWEBページに含まれるキーワードなどが送信され、キーワードに基づいて、広告サーバ３により広告の選択が行われるようにしてもよい。例えば、それぞれの広告がキーワードと対応付けて管理されている場合、PC１から送信されてきたキーワードと同じキーワードに対応付けられている広告が選択され、その情報がPC１に対して送信されることになる。
　以上においては、リストに形成される欄のうち、広告の表示欄の縦方向の幅と、WEBページのタイトルの表示欄の縦方向の幅が同じ幅であるとしたが、異なる幅になるようにしてもよい。
　図５は、リスト１２Ａの他の表示例を示す図である。
　図５の例においては、図４に示されるものと同様に、上から順に、「WEBページ＃１」、「WEBページ＃２」が表示され、その下の欄に「広告＃１」が表示されているが、「広告＃１」の表示欄の縦方向の幅Ｗ２は、WEBページのタイトルの表示欄の標準的な縦方向の幅である幅Ｗ１より広い。
　このようなリストが表示されている状態においてホイールの回転操作によって注目対象とする項目を切り替える場合、あるWEBページのタイトルから次の項目に注目対象を切り替えるときより、ある広告から次の項目に注目対象を切り替えるときの方が、より多くの回転量が必要とされる。例えば、図５の幅Ｗ２が幅Ｗ１の３倍の幅である場合、「広告＃１」が注目されているときには、ユーザは、次の項目の「WEBページ＃３」に注目対象を切り替えるためには、「WEBページ＃１」から「WEBページ＃２」に注目対象を切り替えるときよりホイールを３倍多く回転させる必要がある。
　また、スライドショー表示によって注目対象の項目が自動的に切り替えられる場合、あるWEBページのタイトルから次の項目に注目対象が切り替えられる時間より、ある広告から次の項目に注目対象が切り替えられる時間の方が長い時間とされる。例えば、図５の幅Ｗ２が幅Ｗ１の３倍の幅である場合、通常のWEBページのタイトルに注目する時間が３秒間であるとすると、「広告＃１」は９秒間だけ注目され、その間、「広告＃１」に対してリンクが張られているWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されることになる。
　リスト上における広告の表示位置だけでなく、広告の欄の縦方向の幅も、例えば、広告サーバ３から送信されてくる情報により指定される。
　これにより、広告配信事業者は、特定の広告を長い時間ユーザに見せることができる。また、より多くの金額を支払った広告依頼主の広告を広い表示欄に表示させ、少ない金額しか支払っていない広告依頼主から依頼された広告をWEBページのタイトルと同じ大きさの表示欄に表示させるといったように、顧客である広告依頼主から受け取った金額に応じて広告の表示の仕方を変えることも可能になる。
　以上のようなリストを表示するPC１等の処理についてはフローチャートを参照して後述する。
　図６は、PC１の機能構成例を示すブロック図である。
　図６に示す機能部のうちの少なくとも一部は、PC１のCPU(Central Processing Unit)によりWEBブラウザとリスト表示用ソフトウエアが実行されることによって実現される。図６に示されるように、PC１においては、検索部５１、広告取得部５２、リスト表示制御部５３、およびWEBページ表示制御部５４が実現される。
　検索部５１は、キーボードやマウスを用いて行われるユーザの操作に応じてキーワードを取得し、図示せぬネットワークインタフェースを制御して検索サーバ２にアクセスしてWEBページの検索を要求する。検索部５１は、WEBページの検索結果の情報を検索サーバ２から取得し、取得した情報を広告取得部５２、リスト表示制御部５３、WEBページ表示制御部５４に出力する。
　広告取得部５２は、検索部５１から供給された情報に含まれる各WEBページのURLなどの検索結果に関する情報を広告サーバ３に送信し、広告の送信を要求する。広告取得部５２は、要求に応じて広告サーバ３から送信されてきた広告の情報と、それぞれの広告の表示の仕方を指定する制御情報を取得し、取得した情報をリスト表示制御部５３に出力する。
　リスト表示制御部５３は、検索部５１から供給された情報に含まれる各WEBページのタイトルのリストに、広告取得部５２から供給された広告を制御情報による指定に従って挿入し、広告とWEBページのタイトルを項目とする図４、図５に示されるようなリストを表示させる。また、リスト表示制御部５３は、そのようにして表示させたリストの表示をユーザによる操作に従って制御し、注目対象とする項目を切り替える。リスト表示制御部５３は、注目対象になっている項目の情報をWEBページ表示制御部５４に出力する。
　WEBページ表示制御部５４は、検索部５１から供給された情報に基づいて、WEBページの検索結果をWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。また、WEBページ表示制御部５４は、注目対象になっている項目をリスト表示制御部５３から供給された情報に基づいて特定し、検索されたWEBページ、または、広告に対してリンクが張られているWEBページを表示するためのHTMLファイルなどの情報をWEBサーバ４から取得してWEBページをWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。WEBページ表示制御部５４は、WEBページの表示をユーザの操作に応じて適宜制御する。
　図７は、広告サーバ３の機能構成例を示すブロック図である。
　図７に示す機能部のうちの少なくとも一部は、広告サーバ３のCPUにより所定のプログラムが実行されることによって実現される。図７に示されるように、広告サーバ３においては、入力部６１、データベース６２、および配信部６３が実現される。
　入力部６１は、広告サーバ３の管理者などによる入力に従って広告の情報を取得し、取得した広告の情報をデータベース６２に記憶させる。広告の情報には、リストの表示欄に表示させるテキストや画像、リンク先となるWEBページのURLなどが含まれる。
　また、入力部６１は、広告サーバ３の管理者などによる入力に従ってそれぞれの広告の表示の仕方を指定する制御情報を取得し、取得した制御情報を、広告の情報と対応付けてデータベース６２に記憶させる。制御情報には、リストのどの位置の表示欄に広告を表示させるのかを指定する情報や、広告を表示する欄の縦方向の幅をどの程度の幅にするのかを指定する情報などが含まれる。
　データベース６２は、入力部６１により取得された広告の情報と制御情報を対応付けて記憶する。広告の情報には、その広告の配信を依頼する広告依頼主の識別情報なども対応付けられる。
　配信部６３は、PC１から送信されてきた、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページに関する情報を受信し、PC１に配信する広告を選択する。
　上述したように、例えば、検索サーバ２により検索されたWEBページに関する情報としてURLがPC１から送信されてきた場合、配信部６３は、そのURLの中に、広告依頼主が開設するWEBページのURLが含まれているか否かを判定する。配信部６３においては、広告依頼主により提供された、広告依頼主自身が開設するWEBページのURLなどが管理されている。また、配信部６３は、受信したURLの中に広告依頼主が開設するWEBページのURLが含まれていると判定した場合、その広告依頼主から依頼されている広告の情報と、その広告の表示の仕方を指定する制御情報をデータベース６２から読み出し、読み出した情報をネットワーク５を介してPC１に送信する。
　ここで、図８のフローチャートを参照して、以上のような構成を有する各装置からなる図１の広告配信システムにおいて行われる処理について説明する。なお、検索サーバ２は検索機能を実現する構成を有し、WEBサーバ４は、WEBブラウザによってWEBページを表示するためのHTMLファイルなどを管理し、PC１に提供する構成を有する。
　ステップＳ２１において、PC１の検索部５１は、ユーザの操作に応じてキーワードを取得し、検索サーバ２にアクセスしてWEBページの検索を要求する。
　ステップＳ１において、検索サーバ２は、PC１からの要求を受信し、ステップＳ２において、WEBページの検索を行う。ステップＳ３において、検索サーバ２は、タイトル、検索サマリー、URLなどの各WEBページの情報を検索結果としてPC１に送信する。
　ステップＳ２２において、PC１の検索部５１は、検索結果として検索サーバ２から送信されてきた情報を受信し、受信した情報を広告取得部５２、リスト表示制御部５３、WEBページ表示制御部５４に出力する。
　ステップＳ２３において、広告取得部５２は、検索結果のWEBページに関する情報を広告サーバ３に送信し、広告の送信を要求する。
　ステップＳ１１において、広告サーバ３の配信部６３は、PC１から送信されてきたWEBページに関する情報を受信し、ステップＳ１２において広告を選択する。
　ステップＳ１３において、配信部６３は、選択した広告の情報と、対応付けられている制御情報をデータベース６２から読み出し、読み出した情報をPC１に送信する。
　ステップＳ２４において、PC１の広告取得部５２は、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた情報を受信し、受信した情報をリスト表示制御部５３に出力する。
　ステップＳ２５において、WEBページ表示制御部５４は、検索部５１から供給された情報に基づいて、WEBページの検索結果をWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。また、リスト表示制御部５３は、広告とWEBページのタイトルを項目とするリストをリストウインドウ１２に表示させる。ユーザは、スライドショー表示を開始させたり、ホイールを回転操作させたりして、検索されたWEBページや、広告に対してリンクが張られているWEBページの閲覧を開始することができる。リストにおいて注目対象になっているWEBページの情報はリスト表示制御部５３からWEBページ表示制御部５４に供給される。
　ステップＳ２６において、WEBページ表示制御部５４は、WEBサーバ４にアクセスし、注目対象になっているWEBページの情報のダウンロードを要求する。
　ステップＳ３１において、WEBサーバ４はPC１からの要求を受信し、ステップＳ３２において、要求されたWEBページの情報をPC１に送信する。
　ステップＳ２７において、PC１のWEBページ表示制御部５４は、WEBサーバ４から送信されてきた情報を受信し、ステップＳ２８において、WEBページをWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。PC１においては、注目対象とする項目が切り替えられる毎にステップＳ２６乃至Ｓ２８の処理が繰り返される。
　以上の処理により、広告配信事業者は、リスト表示用ソフトウエアを使ってWEBページの閲覧を行っているユーザに対して、広告を確実に見せることができる。
　以上においては、WEBページの検索と広告の配信がそれぞれ異なる装置により行われるものとしたが、同じ装置により行われるようにしてもよい。この場合、その同じ装置には、図７に示される広告サーバ３の構成の他に、検索機能を実現する構成も設けられる。この場合、リストに表示する広告の情報は、WEBページの検索結果とともにPC１に送信される。
　次に、図９のフローチャートを参照して、WEBページの検索と広告の配信が同じ装置により行われる場合の処理について説明する。
　図９の処理は、検索サーバ２により行われる処理と広告サーバ３により行われる処理が１つの装置により行われる点を除いて、基本的に図８の処理と同様の処理である。重複する説明については適宜省略する。ここでは、WEBページの検索と広告の配信を行う装置を検索・広告サーバとして説明する。
　ステップＳ５１において、PC１の検索部５１は、検索・広告サーバにアクセスしてWEBページの検索を要求する。
　ステップＳ４１において、検索・広告サーバは、PC１からの要求を受信し、ステップＳ４２において、WEBページの検索を行う。ステップＳ４３において、検索・広告サーバは、自ら検索したWEBページに基づいて、図７の配信部６３と同様にしてPC１に配信する広告を選択する。
　ステップＳ４４において、検索・広告サーバは、WEBページの検索結果とともに、選択した広告の情報と、対応付けられている制御情報をPC１に送信する。
　ステップＳ５２において、PC１の検索部５１は、検索・広告サーバから送信されてきたWEBページの検索結果を受信し、受信した情報をリスト表示制御部５３、WEBページ表示制御部５４に出力する。また、広告取得部５２は、検索・広告サーバから送信されてきた広告の情報と制御情報を受信し、受信した情報をリスト表示制御部５３に出力する。
　ステップＳ５３において、WEBページ表示制御部５４は、検索部５１から供給された情報に基づいて、WEBページの検索結果をWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。また、リスト表示制御部５３は、広告とWEBページのタイトルを項目とするリストをリストウインドウ１２に表示させる。
　ステップＳ５４において、WEBページ表示制御部５４は、WEBサーバ４にアクセスし、注目対象になっているWEBページの情報のダウンロードを要求する。
　ステップＳ６１において、WEBサーバ４はPC１からの要求を受信し、ステップＳ６２において、要求されたWEBページの情報をPC１に送信する。
　ステップＳ５５において、PC１のWEBページ表示制御部５４は、WEBサーバ４から送信されてきた情報を受信し、ステップＳ５６において、WEBページをWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させる。PC１においては、注目対象とする項目が切り替えられる毎にステップＳ５４乃至Ｓ５６の処理が繰り返される。
　以上のように、広告配信事業者自身が検索サービスをも提供することにより、広告配信事業者は、広告依頼主が開設するWEBページが検索結果として選択されやすくなるように、検索結果を制御することができる。また、広告依頼主が開設するWEBページがより多く検索結果として選択されるようにすることにより、依頼された広告がリストに表示される確率自体を上げることも可能になる。
　以上においては、広告がリストの項目として表示されるものとしたが、広告配信事業者が管理するサーバ側から送信された情報に基づいて、他の方法によって広告が表示されるようにしてもよい。
　図１０は、リスト１２Ａの他の表示例を示す図である。
　図１０の例においては、WEBページのタイトルを項目とするリスト１２Ａが表示され、その周りの領域７１乃至７４に、それぞれ広告＃１乃至＃４が表示されている。広告＃１乃至＃４は、検索結果に基づいて広告サーバ３により選択された広告であり、その表示位置は、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた制御情報により指定されたものである。
　ユーザは、例えば、領域７１の上にカーソルを移動させてクリックを行うことによって、広告＃１に対してリンクが張られているWEBページをWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示させることができる。
　図１１は、リスト１２Ａのさらに他の表示例を示す図である。
　図１１の例においては、WEBページのタイトルを項目とするリスト１２Ａが表示され、その上に、小リスト８１が重ねて表示されている。例えば、小リスト８１は、ホイール操作などによってリスト１２Ａにおいて「WEBページ＃３」が注目されたときに、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた制御情報に従って、「WEBページ＃３」の表示欄の下方に表示される。
　小リスト８１は、広告を項目とするリストであり、図１１の例においては広告＃１乃至＃５が表示されている。小リスト８１に項目として表示される広告は、「WEBページ＃３」を開設する広告依頼主が販売する商品などの広告といったように、注目対象のWEBページに依存する。
　例えば、カーソルを小リスト８１の上に移動させた状態でホイールを手前方向に回転する操作が行われた場合、小リスト８１に表示されている広告＃１乃至＃５が順次注目され、それぞれの広告に対してリンクが張られているWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示される。また、カーソルが小リスト８１の上から外れ、リスト１２Ａの上にある状態でホイールを手前方向に回転する操作が行われた場合、「WEBページ＃３」の１つ下の表示欄にある項目に注目対象が切り替えられるとともに、小リスト８１の表示は消される。
　リスト１２Ａから「WEBページ＃３」が注目され、「WEBページ＃３」がWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されたタイミングで、リスト１２Ａ上の位置とは異なる位置に小リスト８１が自動的に表示されるようにしてもよい。
　なお、図１１に示されるように小リスト８１に広告が表示されるのではなく、ツリー構造のGUI(Graphical User Interface)によって広告が表示されるようにしてもよい。例えば、リスト１２Ａから所定のWEBページが注目されたとき、そのWEBページを開設する広告依頼主が販売する商品などの広告の一覧がツリー構造で表示される。ツリー構造で表示される広告の中から所定の広告が選択されたとき、選択された広告に対してリンクが張られているWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示される。
　また、広告サーバ３から広告の情報を送信するのではなく、XML(eXtensible Markup Language)などによって定義した、広告などを含むリストのデータをWEBサーバ４の特定のディレクトリに置いておき、PC１において所定のWEBページが表示されたときに、そのディレクトリに対するアクセスが自動的に行われ、広告サーバ３を介することなく、WEBサーバ４から、広告などを含むリストのデータが取得されるようにしてもよい。この場合、WEBページを表示するためのHTMLファイルには、アクセス先となるディレクトリを表す情報が含まれる。
　さらに、リストの広告が注目されたとき、音楽やアナウンスがPC１により出力されるようにしてもよい。
　以上においては、リストはWEBブラウザのウインドウと異なるウインドウに表示されるものとしたが、WEBブラウザのフレーム内に組み込まれて表示されるようにしてもよい。リスト表示用ソフトウエアは、ガジェット、ウィジェットの形で提供されるようにしてもよい。
　また、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた制御情報により広告の表示位置が指定されるものとしたが、リストの項目として広告が表示される場合、PC１により所定の表示欄がランダムに選択され、選択された位置に広告が表示されるようにしてもよい。
　さらに、検索結果が取得されたときにリストに表示する広告が広告サーバ３から取得されるのではなく、リストにおいて注目対象が切り替えられたときに、PC１から広告サーバ３に対してアクセスが行われ、いま注目対象になっているWEBページと関連のある広告が取得され、表示されるようにしてもよい。
　項目としてリストに表示される情報が検索結果として挙げられたWEBページのタイトルであるとしたが、所定のサーバにリンク集のWEBページが用意されており、そのWEBページの情報が取得されるようになされている場合、リンク集のWEBページに掲載される、リンク先のWEBページのタイトルが項目として表示されるようにしてもよい。この場合、リストからタイトルが選択されることに応じて、リンク先のWEBページがWEBページ表示部１１Ａに表示されることになる。
　RSSリーダにより収集されたRSSコンテンツのタイトルや、掲示板に掲載されるそれぞれの書き込みのタイトルが項目として表示されるようにしてもよい。これらのタイトルにはリンク先が設定されており、リストから選択されたとき、リンク先のRSSコンテンツや書き込みがリストとは異なる領域に表示される。
　また、以上においては、リスト上で注目される項目がマウスのホイールの回転操作に応じて切り替えられるものとしたが、円形のタッチパッドの外周を指先で一定方向に回す操作に応じて切り替えられるようにしてもよいし、指紋認証デバイスがPC１に設けられている場合、指紋認証デバイスを指先でなぞる方向に応じて切り替えられるようにしてもよい。すなわち、所定の方向の操作を続けることで対象を切り替えることが可能な各種の入力装置に対する操作に応じて項目が切り替えられるようにすることが可能である。
　広告サーバ３の配信部６３による広告の選択方法も、PC１から送信されてきた検索結果のWEBページのURLに基づいて行われる上述したような方法に限られない。例えば、ユーザのWEBページの閲覧スピード（リスト上で注目対象を切り替えるスピード）に関する情報がPC１から送信されてくるようになされている場合、その閲覧スピードに応じて広告が選択されるようにすることも可能である。
　閲覧スピードが閾値より早い場合には標準の大きさよりも大きい文字の広告がリストに表示され、閲覧スピードが閾値より遅い場合には標準の大きさの文字の広告がリストに表示されるようにすることにより、ユーザがどのようなスピードでWEBページを閲覧している場合であっても、効果的に広告を提示することが可能になる。
　WEBページの検索結果を取得し、それに基づいてリストを表示する前に、広告サーバ３から送信されてきた広告のうちの１つ、または複数を、リストウインドウ１２内に表示させるようにしてもよい。例えば、リストが表示される領域一面に広告が表示されるようにすることにより、ユーザに確実に広告を見せることができる。
　このような広告の表示はリストが完成するまでの間行われ、リストが完成した場合、広告に替えて、完成したリストがリストウインドウ１２内に表示される。リストが表示される領域一面に表示されていた広告は、リストが表示されることに応じて消えるようにしてもよいし、所定の位置に縮小して表示され続けるようにしてもよい。
　なお、WEBページの検索に用いるものとしてユーザにより入力されたキーワードに関連のある広告がPC１により選択され、その選択された広告が表示されるようにすることも可能である。
　上述した一連の処理は、ハードウエアにより実行することもできるし、ソフトウエアにより実行することもできる。一連の処理をソフトウエアにより実行する場合には、そのソフトウエアを構成するプログラムが、専用のハードウエアに組み込まれているコンピュータ、または、各種のプログラムをインストールすることで、各種の機能を実行することが可能な汎用のパーソナルコンピュータなどに、プログラム記録媒体からインストールされる。
　プログラムのインストールは、光ディスクやメモリカードなどのリムーバブルメディアに記録して、あるいは、ローカルエリアネットワーク、インターネット、デジタル放送といった、有線または無線の伝送媒体を介して提供され、パーソナルコンピュータにインストールされる。
　なお、コンピュータが実行するプログラムは、本明細書で説明する順序に沿って時系列に処理が行われるプログラムであっても良いし、並列に、あるいは呼び出しが行われたとき等の必要なタイミングで処理が行われるプログラムであっても良い。また、インストール先の装置は、パーソナルコンピュータだけでなく、PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)、携帯電話機、ゲーム機などの各種の情報処理装置とすることも可能である。
　本発明の実施の形態は、上述した実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々の変更が可能である。

Claims (9)

  1. 　リンク先が設定されているリンク元情報を含む情報を項目とするリストに、前記リンク元情報を表示するために用いる情報を取得し、
    　前記リンク元情報と、広告の配信を行うサーバから取得した広告を項目とするリストを、リンク先の情報の表示領域である第１の領域と異なる第２の領域に表示させ、
    　前記リスト上で注目された前記リンク元情報に対して設定されているリンク先の情報、または前記リスト上で注目された広告に対して設定されているリンク先の情報を、前記第１の領域に表示させる
    　ステップを含む処理をコンピュータに実行させるプログラム。
  2. 　広告の配信を行う前記サーバから取得した広告を、前記リストに形成される各項目の表示欄のうちの、前記リンク元情報の表示欄より広い表示欄に表示させる
    　請求項１に記載のプログラム。
  3. 　注目対象とする前記リストの項目を、入力装置を用いて行われるユーザによる一定方向の操作に応じて切り替える場合、前記リンク元情報から次の項目に注目対象を切り替えるのに必要な量より多い量の前記一定方向の操作が行われたときに、注目対象とする項目を、広告から次の項目に切り替える

  4. 　注目対象とする前記リスト上の項目を、所定の方向に並ぶ項目の順に自動的に切り替える場合、前記リンク元情報から次の項目に注目対象を切り替える時間より長い時間が経過したときに、注目対象とする項目を、広告から次の項目に切り替える

  5. 　前記リンク元情報を取得したリンク先に関する情報を広告の配信を行う前記サーバに対して送信し、広告の情報と、それぞれの広告の表示方法を指定する情報である制御情報を取得し、
