Abstract

Système pour détecter la position d’aéronefs et/ou de véhicules à moteur dans des pistes d’aéroport et des voies de circulation, le long desquelles sont installés des dispositifs de signalisation lumineux (2), comprenant des dispositifs radar (4) installés dans au moins une partie desdits dispositifs de signalisation lumineux (2). Chaque dispositif radar (4) est destiné à localiser la position d’un aéronef (3) et/ou d’un véhicule à moteur situé dans une section de piste (1) ou de voie de circulation, qui est près du dispositif de signalisation lumineux (2) correspondant, où le dispositif radar (4) lui-même est installé ; et un moyen pour transmettre les données traitées par chaque dispositif radar (4) à une unité distante, afin de détecter la position des aéronefs (3) et/ou des véhicules à moteur. Selon une variante de l’invention, à la place des dispositifs radar (4), d’autres dispositifs de détection de position sont employés, comprenant chacun un accéléromètre (41) ou un capteur thermique.
