Abstract

The invention relates to a measuring device including identifiers for newborns and mothers, formed by a long planar, flexible strip including a plurality of measurement marks for measuring the size of a newborn. FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention is related to the techniques employed in the design and manufacture of measuring devices, and more particularly, it is related to a measuring device with identifiers for newborn and mother.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As is well known, the size of a newborn is recorded moments after delivery, for this purpose various measuring devices are used such as the measuring tapes, which if you want to reuse, it is necessary to sterilize them by making the process of tedious newborn measurement.

So far, there are tape measures made of rubber and cloth that have covered this need, however, it is also necessary to take into account that before and during delivery it is necessary to identify the mother and the newborn with bracelets or bracelets, Consequently, during delivery, time is spent measuring the newborn and filling with information and placing the identification bands on the newborn and the mother. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

As a consequence of the above, it has been sought to suppress the inconveniences that are currently present in the devices that are used to measure the size of the newborns and the identification of the mother and the newborn during birth, developing a simple product, but extremely practical, functional and easy to manufacture that allows the newborn to be measured and also identified with the mother.

The device of the present invention comprises an elongated, flat and flexible tape with two ends, an upper face and a lower face, the elongated tape has a plurality of measurement marks distributed over at least one of its faces to measure the size of the newborn The device also has at least one identification band for the newborn, which is detachably attached to the elongated ribbon so that, after measuring the newborn, the newborn identification band detaches from the elongated ribbon and is placed around one end of the newborn; and, finally, the device of the present invention also comprises at least one identification band for the mother, which is detachably attached on the elongated tape so that the mother's identification band is detached from the tape elongated and placed around a limb of the mother.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED MODE OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the accompanying drawings, and more specifically to Figures 1 to 3, a measuring device 10 with identifiers for newborn and mother 20 and 30 is illustrated. With respect to the materials, it can be mentioned that the elongated tape 10 is made of a hypoallergenic material such as vinyl PVC, paper or polypropylene or any other hypoallergenic material. Even though in the previous description reference has been made to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it should be emphasized that numerous modifications to such modality are possible but without departing from the true scope of the invention, such as materials, dimensions, place of location of the identification bands in the device, etc. Therefore, the present invention should not be restricted except by what is established in the state of the art and by the appended claims.

Claims

NOVELTY OF THE INVENTION REIVINDICATIONS

1.- A measuring device with identifiers for newborn and mother, characterized in that it comprises: a) an elongated, flat and flexible tape with two ends, an upper face and a lower face, the elongated tape having a plurality of distributed measurement marks on at least one of its faces to measure the size of the newborn; b) at least one identification band for the newborn, which is detachably attached to the elongated tape so that, after measuring the newborn, the newborn identification band detaches from the elongated ribbon and is placed around of a limb of the newborn; and, c) at least one identification band for the mother, which is detachably attached on the elongated tape so that the mother's identification band is detached from the elongated tape and placed around a limb of The mother.
