Um das Raumgewicht bei gleichbleibenden Dauergebrauchseigenschaften zu reduzieren, weist das Polyolgemisch 50 % bis 90 % Gewichtsanteile EO-basierendes Polyol und 50 bis 10 Gewichtsanteile Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol auf.
Description
Flammwidriger, elastischer Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff mit reduziertem Gewicht
Die Erfindung betrifft einen flammwidrigen, elastischen Polyurethan- Weichschaumstoff, der aus einem Schaumstoff-Reaktionsgemisch hergestellt ist, das ein Polyolgemisch, Polyisocyanat, Blähgraphit als Flamm- schutzmittel und Zusatzstoffe aufweist.
Ein derartiger Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff ist aus der DE 39 09 017 C1 der Anmelderin bekannt. Bei dem verwendeten Schaumstoff- Reaktionsgemisch kommt ein Polyolgemisch bestehend aus Polyetherpolyol und polymergefüllten Polyol zum Einsatz. Als Flammschutzmittel findet Bläh- graphit in Plättchenform Verwendung, bei dem die Plättchen die Größenordnung der entstehenden Schaumstoff-Zellwände aufweisen und zunächst der Reaktionskomponente Polyol zugemischt werden. Derartige flammwidrige Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoffe kommen insbesondere als Sitzpolster für Flugzeuge oder Schienenfahrzeuge zum Einsatz. Neben hohen Anforderun- gen an das Brandverhalten muss der Schaumstoff auch hohe Dauergebrauchseigenschaften aufweisen. Um diese Anforderungen zu erfüllen, weist der bekannte Schaumstoff ein relatives hohes Raumgewicht auf, was zu einem erhöhten Energieverbrauch führt.
Ausgehend hiervon liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen flammwidrigen, elastischen Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff vorzuschlagen, der unter Beibehalt oder Erhöhung der Lebensdauer ein reduziertes Gewicht aufweist.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe wird bei einem Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff der eingangs genannten Art vorgeschlagen, dass das Polyolgemisch 50% bis 90% Gewichtsanteile auf Ethylenoxid basierendes Polyol (EO-Polyol) und 50% bis 10 % Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol aufweist.
Der erfindungsgemäße Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff weist bei niedrigem Raumgewicht sehr gute Dauergebrauchseigenschaften auf. Gegenüber herkömmlichen Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoffen kann das Gewicht um etwa 30 % reduziert werden. Dies ist insbesondere bei der Verwendung des Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoffes als Sitzpolster für Flugzeuge von Vorteil, da hierdurch das Flugzeuggewicht und somit der Kraftstoffverbrauch reduziert werden kann.
Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung gehen aus den Unteransprüchen hervor.
Vorteilhaft beträgt der Gewichtsanteil des auf Ethylenoxid basierenden Polyol 80 % und der Gewichtsanteil des Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol 20 %.
Der Polyisocyanat-Anteil wird mit einer Isocyanatmenge entsprechend einer Kennzahl von 90 bis 105 eingesetzt. Vorteilhaft kommt ein Diisocyanat zum Einsatz.
Vorteilhaft beträgt der Blähgraphit-Anteil 50 bis 40 Gewichtsteile, insbesondere 30 Gewichtsteile, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol.
Das Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel liegt vorteilhaft mit einer Korngröße von 0.2 bis 1 mm vor.
Vorteilhaft liegt das Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel in Plättchenform vor.
In vorteilhafter Ausgestaltung wird vorgeschlagen, dass als weiteres Flamm- schutzmittel Chorphosphorsäureester mit 5 bis 15 Gewichtsteilen, insbesondere 10, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol vorliegt.
Die Zusatzstoffe enthalten insbesondere Wasser, einen Katalysator und einen Stabilisator.
Bei einer vorteilhaften Ausführungsform weist das Schaumstoff- Reaktionsgemisch auf:
a) ein Polyolgemisch mit 80 % Gewichtsanteilen auf Ethylenoxid basierendes Polyol und 20 Gewichtsanteilen Standard-Polyol,
b) eine Isocyanatmenge entsprechend einer Kennzahl von 90 bis 105;
c) 30 Gewichtsteile Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel bezogen sowie 10 Gewichtsteile Chlorphosphorsäureester bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol.
Vorteilhaft beträgt das Raumgewicht des Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoffes
20 bis 50 kg/m3.
Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand eines Ausführungsbeispieles näher erläutert.
Tabelle I zeigt eine Gegenüberstellung zwischen dem erfindungsgemäßen neuen Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff und einem Vergleichsschaumstoff gemäß dem Stand der Technik.

Der erfindungsgemäße Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff weist die aus der linken Spalte ersichtliche Zusammensetzung auf. Hieraus ist ersichtlich, dass das Polyol-Gemisch aus einem Standard-Polyol (Polyol 1 ) und einem auf Ethylenoxid basierenden Polyol (Polyol 2) besteht. Demgegenüber kommt bei dem Vergleichssschaumstoff ein Polyolgemisch bestehend aus einem Standard-Polyol (Polyol 1 ) und einem weiteren Standard-Polyol (Polyol 3) zum Einsatz, wie aus der rechten Spalte der Tabelle I ersichtlich ist.
Die zum Einsatz kommenden Katalysatoren und Stabilisatoren sind bei beiden Schaumstoffen gleich.
Ein Diisocyanat wird mit einer Isocyanatmenge entsprechend einer Kennzahl von 90 bis 105 eingesetzt.
Aus Tabelle Il sind die physikalischen Eigenschaften des neuen Schaumstoffes und zweier Vergleichsschaumstoffe mit unterschiedlichem Raumgewicht ersichtlich.

Der erfindungsgemäße Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff weist ein Raumgewicht von 40 kg/m3 auf. Die physikalischen Werte wie Druckverformungsrest gemäß DIN EN ISO 1856, Wet Compression Set gemäß DIN EN ISO 1856 und Dauerschwingversuch gemäß DIN EN ISO 3385 ergeben sich aus Spalte 1.
Wie aus der Gegenüberstellung mit Spalte 2 ersichtlich ist, weist der bekannte Vergleichsschaumstoff mit einem identischen Raumgewicht von 40 kg/m3 wesentlich schlechtere physikalische Eigenschaften auf.
Zur Erzielung ähnlicher physikalischer Eigenschaften muss der Vergleichsschaumstoff ein Raumgewicht von 65 kg/m3 aufweisen, wie aus Spalte 3 ersichtlich ist. Somit weist der erfindungsgemäße Polyurethan- Weichschaumstoff bei gleichen physikalischen Eigenschaften ein um etwa 30 % reduziertes Gewicht auf.
Durch das reduzierte Raumgewicht ergeben sich insbesondere beim Einsatz des Schaumstoffes als Polsterung bei Flugzeugen und Schienenfahrzeugen Vorteile, da der Energieverbrauch reduziert werden kann. Neben dem Einsatz als Polsterung von Flugzeug und Schienenfahrzeug kann der erfin- dungsgemäße Schaumstoff auch bei Matratzen, die in Sicherheitsbereichen wie Gefängnissen zum Einsatz kommen Verwendung finden.
Die Herstellung des Schaumstoffes erfolgt nach dem in der DE 39 09 017 C1 beschriebenen Verfahren.
Claims
1. Flammwidriger, elastischer Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff, hergestellt aus einem Schaumstoff-Reaktionsgemisch, das aufweist:
a) ein Polyolgemisch;
b) ein Polyisocyanat;
c) Blähgraphit als Flammschutzmittel;
d) Zusatzstoffe
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polyolgemisch 50% bis 90% Gewichtsanteile auf Ethylenoxid basierendes Polyol und 50% bis 10% Gewichtanteile Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol aufweist.
2. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Gewichtsanteil des auf Ethylenoxid basierenden Polyol 80 % und der Gewichtsanteil des Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol 20 % beträgt.
3. Polyurthan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Polyisocyanat-Anteil mit einer Isocyanatmenge entsprechend einer Kennzahl 90 bis 105 vorliegt.
4. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Blähgraphit-Anteil 5 bis 40 Gewichtsteile, insbesondere 30 Gewichtsteile, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol beträgt.
5. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel mit einer Korngröße von 0.2 bis 1 mm vorliegt.
6. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel in Plättchenform vorliegt.
7. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass als weiteres Flammschutzmittel Chorphosphorsäureester mit 5 bis 15 Gewichtsteilen, insbesondere
10, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol vorliegt.
8. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zusatzstoffe Wasser, einen Kata- lysator und einen Stabilisator enthalten.
9. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 mit einem Schaumstoff-Reaktionsgemisch, das aufweist:
a) ein Polyolgemisch mit 80 % Gewichtsanteilen EO-basierendes
Polyol und 20 % Gewichtsanteilen Standard-Polyol und/oder Füllstoff-Polyol;
b) ein Polyisocyanat mit einer Isocyanatmenge entsprechend ei- ner Kennzahl von 90 bis 105.
c) 30 % Gewichtsteile Blähgraphit-Flammschutzmittel sowie 10 Gewichtsteile Chlorphosphorsäureester bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile Polyol.
0. Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoff nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Raumgewicht des Polyurethan- Weichschaumstoffes 20 bis 50 kg/m3 beträgt.
