Definitions
- the invention relates to a sub-element according to the preamble of claim 1 for a sealing element which is provided for a bearing with a bearing ring, a sealing element according to claim 6 or 7 for a bearing and a bearing according to claim 10.
- DE 35 16 131 A1 describes a seal for a rolling bearing with two bearing rings, wherein the seal comprises a sealing element with two sub-elements, wherein the first sub-element is attached to an inner circumferential surface of the first bearing ring, and wherein the second sub-element at a recess of the inner circumferential surface of the second bearing ring is arranged.
- the first sub-element and the second sub-element have axial projections which engage in a comb-like manner, so that a labyrinth seal is formed, in which the second sub-element engages over the first sub-element and partially the end face of the opposite, first bearing ring.
- Such an arrangement has a considerable axial extension and requires a material removal on the inner circumferential surface of one of the two bearing rings, ie in the vicinity of the raceway of the rolling elements.
- WO 2006/061096 A1 describes a seal for a roller bearing which comprises a centrifugal disk arranged on the end face of one of the bearing rings.

- the positive fixing can be supported by the preferably elastic material properties of the partial element in the region of the second portion.
- the second section may be formed from an elastomer and to expose the molding section as a circumferential bead element. shape.
- This bead element is then inserted positively into a groove formed on the outer circumferential surface in order to fix the partial element to the bearing ring.
- the bead element engages in the associated groove, so that both sections of the sub-element can be easily arranged in the correct position to the bearing ring.
- the invention relates not only to the sub-element for the sealing element, but in particular also the sealing element as such, which comprises a sub-element according to the invention.
