Abstract

本発明は、反射光による干渉縞の発生が防止され、表示品位が改善された透過型及び反射透過両用型の液晶表示装置を提供する。本発明の液晶表示装置は、第一の基板、液晶層及び第二の基板を表示面に向かってこの順に備える液晶表示装置であって、上記第一及び第二の基板の少なくとも一方は、液晶層に向かって突出した誘電体突起物を備え、上記第一の基板は、平面視したときに規則的に、かつ該誘電体突起物と重畳して反射膜が配置されており、上記反射膜は、表示面に向かって突出した複数の凸部を有する液晶表示装置である。
