Abstract

 燃料噴射弁6a,6bから燃焼室4内へ燃料5a,5bを噴射するようにしたディーゼルエンジン1において、燃料噴射弁6a,6bは平面視で燃焼室4の径方向に対して水平に対向配置されると共に、シリンダ2の軸心方向へ高さをずらして配置され、且つ、ピストン3の上面は、シリンダヘッド7から離反した位置に配置された燃料噴射弁6b側からシリンダヘッド7に近接した位置に配置された燃料噴射弁側6aに向って、ピストン3の径方向中途部まで上り勾配に形成されている。
