Abstract

Ein plattenförmiger Stromableiter (12) für eine galvanische Zelle hat eine erste Oberfläche (16) und eine zweite Oberfläche (17), die einander im Wesentlichen gegenüberliegen und durch eine erste Seitenfläche (18) und eine zweite Seitenfläche (19) miteinander verbunden sind. Zur Verbesserung der Siegelqualität des Stromableiters in einer galvanischen Zelle weist der plattenförmige Stromableiter (12) im Bereich der ersten und/oder der zweiten Seitenfläche (18, 19) einen Abschnitt mit einer im Querschnitt gegenüber der durch die erste und die zweite Oberfläche (16, 17) definierten Dicke (D) des Stromableiters reduzierten Dicke (d) auf, der sich wenigstens im Wesentlichen über einen Siegelbereich (14) des Stromableiters erstreckt.
